The first month of donation is okay. You at least get fairly compensated for your time. After the month is over it is all down hill. You wait forever and only get a portion or what you get the first month. The past couple time I have gone I have waited in the chair almost 30 mins before being hooked up, and then left for another 25-30 mins after I was done waiting to be disconnected. Two hours of my time for the whole process for 45 bucks... not worth it in my opinion. I would recommend using that first month's bonus and that's all. read more

Not sure what the hiring process is to work here but none of these people are qualified. I've come to this location a number of times and have been turned away because they can't find my vein. I'm noticing by all of the other reviews and pictures that I'm probably lucky that they haven't because a lot of peoples veins have blown out. Do better. Hire people who actually want to work. I donated four times the first two times went smoothly and everyone was nice, but I noticed they were training a bunch of clueless people. On my third visit, unfortunately, I could tell I got a trainee, and I got really nauseous and almost threw up. She was very clueless and slow to assist me. On my fourth visit, I went in anxious telling myself not to throw up this time and unfortunately, I got a rude young man who was obviously rushing but I didn't get a chance to get his name. He tried to put the needle in my left arm and went in way too fast, aggressive, and deep and he gave me a hematoma. He blamed it on me and my vein? He then proceeded to tell me how to take care of it when I got home for the next few days as if it was nothing and then he told me he needed to try again on my right arm. I was stupid to let him try again but I'm a very anti-social person who can't speak up so I let him. He tried again on my right arm but this time there was blood dripping out of the needle!! I asked him if that was okay and he brushed it off and said as long as it's not squirting out then it's fine. I got anxious so I called another person and told them about it and they decided to just end the donation. While they were taking everything off of me I noticed the same man mess up on the donor next to me as well. My hematoma was very painful and took nearly a month to heal. read more

I am a loyal donor and been donating for years . The employees all have a bad attitude especially if you ask them questions about extra random things they do like blood samples and proteins tests . SMH it's always the managers especially the bald guy with a lazy eye . I came in to donate so my coupon wouldn't expire just for them to tell me that if I want to donate again then they would have to take my blood and a protein sample. Send it into the lab & wait for those results to come back 7-14 business days and depending on those results I can donate again or not Donate. SMH read more

This place is very well kept and has friendly staff. They take care of me and my needs if I need any. The type of care varies from person to person but always caring. So far I've only been to this location and riverside location, I will never go back to Riverside! This location in Moreno Valley is my preferred location. read more

Long lines, long wait time and under staffed. Donation slots don't matter because it takes 1 hour just to get the donation started...(then an additional 20-30 minutes on top of the 50 minutes it takes to actually donate) just to get unplugged. This is the absolute slowest plasma center and it's obvious they are overwhelmed and either short staffed or under poor management. read more

They say your blood pressure is too high. Or your protein is too low because a they overweighing, and taking out more plasma than what they should have been, then they tell you to come, then they want you to come back NPU when you're getting a 130. I cam here when it first opened a couple years ago. There was enough staff, very few lines and I was in and out in an hour and a half. Then I came back a year later. The awesome manager "Harsh" (yup, that's his name) is gone, replaced by one of the staff that was on the plasmaphoresis machines. When I sign up for an appointment I get excited because there's lots of openings-but I get here and every time there's huge lines. No seats offered. Staff is 1/3 what it was. it's just not worth it to come anymore. Biolife needs to bring Harsh back! read more

Honestly, not that bad of a place to donate plasma, and made me more self aware of my iron levels, which were always coming up low, I wondered why and went to my doctors to check my blood, turns out my thyroid was starting to give me problems and was bringing down my iron intake. By far one of the worst customer service experiences I've every had. Most of these technicians have attitudes. As if me as the patient...isn't sitting here with a needle in my arm. I don't wanna make this racial. But there's no other explanation. For these Latina/latino workers having attitudes, towards me a black man. Especially when I am respectful. I have been coming to the Escondido location for about a month! It WAS easy to get appointments at first, BUT now it's extremely hard. IF SOMETHING HAPPENS AND YOU CANT DONATE THAT DAY AND NEES TO RESCHEDULE, FORGET IT BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO OPENINGS. My dad was DX with Cancer in 2012 and I only recently found out his medicine is plasma based and how it can't be made unless people donate Plasma, so I have been donating here in Moreno Valley for about five months now. The facility is always clean and organized,The staff is always so friendly , check in is usually pretty fast ,unless it is busy, the phlebotomist that I have had are all pretty professional and skilled. I have never had a bad experience here. If you have difficult or hard to find veins then they are pretty good at letting a senior phlebotomist set you up if you just let them know ahead of time. The place is super clean, and very organized. Staff are super great! How ever good luck try to meet the promotion requirements to get the entire promotion monies. I have not been able to meet any promotions since starting because my pulse rate is to hig and you are told you can not donate. Your ability to donate is up to their discretion. My pulse runs high even resting. I am hyper active HAD, and no I do not medicate for it. So to meet a promotion you must be able to donate, good luck with that. Oh and if you don't donate every week you loose the promotion and donations are paid out at 30 dollars a donation. Oh and the monies, don't forget are taxable. Yes they are! If you are very healthy and desperate for money then give this a try. They pay about $950 for your first month. That means 2 visits per week 8 total. The money was on my card within minutes of finishing a donation. I referred 3 'desperate' friends to them. Two of them did not qualify for medical reasons. They screen very well, which is good. One passed out! It is not for everybody. The closest location to me was off the 15 freeway near the 91 freeway in Corona. It was easy to get to from Orange County. It was clean and professionally run. However the wait times were sometimes long. Plan to be there 2 to 3 hours minimum. Make sure you are very hydrated, eat before you go and bring a snack for after. I felt pretty crappy after most donations. At least twice I literally drove home and slept the rest of the day. I'm normally a person with a lot of stamina. I did not go back after the first month because the price they pay drops drastically to $130 per week [2 donations] I would not do this for less than $100 per donation and that is questionable. read more

Takes several hours to get your first physical. Keep your whole day clear. Edit: I waited 3 hours and no physical. I asked how long it would take if they happened to call my name and I did the physical and donated plasma. They said it would take another 2 hours. Completely ridiculous. I regret waiting so long to leave, I wasted 3 hours of my life for nothing and I could have wasted more if I didn't leave when I did. Do not waste your time here. Very disappointed. They really need to get their new donor routine down. After wasting hours of my time (and theirs!) each day (the first for low iron) over four visits, I was finally given a 30 minute questionnaire and deferred for a month due to a prescribed medication. We COULD have known this the first day had I been given the computer test the first day. I was given $20 on my donor card to make up for the trouble, but in my old car that didn't cover even the gas. But it was a nice gesture which I really appreciated. All in all, I wouldn't recommend anyone do this unless they are really committed, are really healthy and have a lot of spare time, at least for now. I'll update if and when I go back after the month is done, as they are opening another center much closer to me. Hopefully things will get better in the MV center before then. read more

Well i have been here four times now- my first visit I detailed and had low iron- so the torture was minimal. The second time I came I was scheduled and arrived at 5pm by the time I left it was 9pm! Yes, I gave plasma. It was freezing and I felt semi neglected in comparison to the treatment that I am used to from donating whole blood at Lifestream. The next time I donated she hit the vein poorly and it hurt, then of course it wasn't functioning properly and another employee came to fix it, which meant sticking the other arm. She did great and I remembered her name but I didn't want to offend anyone by asking for her directly but I should have! Apparently Racquel is the only female employee here that can actually find a vein!! This visit, first arm seemed fine but Darren says that it Isn't returning properly so he pulls the needle out some. After a short while blood is gushing down my arm and onto the chair. He asked who pricked me- I point her out and she ends up coming back to prick my other arm! I'm not comfortable with that but... after short time and needle rolls- more problems. I'm stuck at 600 something when we're trying to get to 880- I watch people leave and I am still stuck here. Oh, well my blood is clotting in the line now and I guess they cannot return the blood to me? Guess what, I'm stuck here Another 30 minutes- both arms hurting and I am pissed off. It feels like a bunch of 20 somethings have jobs that they don't respect, treating people they don't respect- all of us just so damn desperate for money! read more
