Their professionalism has been unmatched, but when you add courteousness, it's remarkable. Each of those names had welcomed me with such hospitality with each visit. I just called this place and spoke with a black lady who was very rude over the phone and I can tell her ethnicity by her voice, her tone and the way she annunciates things. I was trying to get information about being a donor for my very first time. I had questions to ask her. She was very short tempered first she told me that I had to have three forms of ID and if my ID did not match my address that I had to bring a utility bill lease agreement or something of that nature but no junk mail . so my question to her was what are the three forms of ID? She said I didn't say three forms of ID. I said too. She was a liar. She told me three forms of ID and if the address did not match on my drivers license where I'm currently living that's when she mentioned I had to bring some type of utility bill by tax return that's how she worded it when I asked her about what the three requirements that I had to bring of ID . She began to get an attitude over the phone with me and told me I did not say three I said too. I had to explain to her that I heard her say three she tried to get her way in by having the last word and I told her you've mentioned to me three and I hung up the phone on her. Cannot believe that a company has this type of a sour ass person working for them with an attitude, especially when somebody's gonna do the right thing and donate plasma.. very unprofessional, especially with her attitude. She has a attitude that needs to be working in some type of collection agency for medical bill collections that's where she needs to work at not dealing with people who want to donate blood to help other people. Honestly, i find it so crazy how a place where they touch blood from checking vitals and touching different equipment and computers, they dont change their gloves at ALLLL. When I get my finger poked they squeeze my finger to make blood come out and some blood touches their glove. When its the next patients turn, i do not see them change gloves. SO unsanitary and disgusting. Then when we get seated, why do you have untrained employees to poke the arm. Always leaving my arm bruised. Understandable that it's different for everyone but why do I leave some days with my whole arm where the vein is, bruised. Some days theres nothing. So disappointing and sad read more

The scheduling for all these bio life places is appalling to me, I don't ever feel the need to write reviews or get in contact with anyone and many times I've waited over two hours for a bed because of lack of staff and lack of organization regardless of that I always appreciate that the staff still helps us but today was the worst I show up to my 2:55 appointment waited a very long time just to get vitals taken because the line was extremely long eventually ending up in the donor line waiting for a bed there was about 20 people ahead of me 4-5 behind me after waiting 45 min i see staff leaving and closing up then someone talking about how they have to leave at 5:30 then they offer $40 coupons as compensation if we don't get seen in time, mind you they mention this around 4:00 we get no compensation for our time wasted and that $40 is in 2 part payments there was only TWO staff members connecting people to the machines that is ridiculous. I don't know who handles the scheduling and the staff but it's absolutely sad to see those two guys working hard to get through a line of about 20-25 people that's AFTER 2 people left and accepted the $40 coupon. This is the bio life in Riverside off Arlington, I always go to corona or Pomona and they always have lack of staff but not to this extent! Now I've wasted about 3 hours and went home MONEYLESS. read more

On 8/21 my donation machine had been beeping off/on the whole process. At the end the technician was unsure if the machine malfunctioned, says it may be a slight blood loss (slight pink in the line), nothing to worry about but had to call the nurse for advice. The nurse sat me out for 30 minutes then I left. Today, 8/25, the 1st technician inserting the needle went too far, called Anna to adjust it then I started my donation. Well that 1st tech messed up and caused a bruise with bleeding from the injection. Was taken out by a nurse again, sat out for 30 minutes but felt fine. But because the technician SCREWED UP I am now deferred for 8 weeks! Usually a good experience, but this technician left me sore, bruised & now unable to donate. PLEASE TRAIN YOUR TECHNICIANS!!! read more

J had a 8:00 am appointment. I donated twice and the second time they bruised me so when I went back 5 days later to donate again, I was still bruised, so I had to see the nurse, which is understandable; however, while waiting to see that nurse (which took a while) at least 15 people who had come after me had gotten in line to donate, so by the time the nurse saw me I was gonna have to wait in that line of 15 people to donate blood. I had allotted two hours for this process, and I had to leave without donating because the nurse was not able to put me in the front of the line to donate, even though the bruising was due to their technicians and I had given myself two hours for the process. I could not wait due to having another appointment at 10:00am. read more

I'm currently on a "let's get you back in that chair" promotion, and this is bullshit. Over crowded. Long wait times. Inconsistent and faulty equipment. Temperature too high then normal the next. Pulse reading too high then normal the next. Equipment needs to be calibrated before deferring multiple patients. Had enough of this low budget facility and inconsistent operations. 2.5 hour wait times, 25-35 donors waiting is ridiculous, absurd and a waste of time, money and effort. I wanted to donate , went thru the whole process untill I hit the nurse next , told them my whole info and medication I'm on . Next thing is a paper she gave me and that I have to go to my official doctor office for the information I already have given them and just have my doctor sign the paper and give the info of the medication and how long I've been on it . So that's that . MY DOCTOR allowed me to donate and approved of it . But when I go back and gave them my paper they said I couldn't do it . So if your on medication don't waste your time (: ! Oh and one more thing My friend was donating here and this new staff was going to poke the needle in his vein and she did and she did it un correctly , and my friend said it hurt that blood was coming from the sides , she did not put it in correctly and others couldn't do anything about it . If I could give this place zero stars I would, the staff is nice they are extremely nice and patient but the manager there is a total a**, he's rude and incompetent and inconsiderate towards people's time and his staffs time. I had the WORST experience in this place. 1st visit the 2 phlebotomist technicians wouldn't get my veins when I have extremely good ones. 2nd visit I asked for a phlebotomist with experience and she got my vein in 2 seconds ... as I was almost done with my donation ANOTHER technician came and started messing around with the needle in my arm and as soon she moved it side to side trying for my arm to pump more blood I felt the WORST pain ever. I told her immediately that I was in a LOT of pain... she asked from 1 to 10 how much and I said "10" She responded IT IS NORMAL... just keep pumping!!!! I told the lady THIS PAIN IS NOT NORMAL, this is not supposed to hurt like this. Every time I tried to pump my arm hurted more and more to my elbow bone.... I asked her to removed the needle that I was done. After like 5 to 10 minutes she came to remove the needle and she said she was going to get the rest of the blood from my other arm... I said NO WAY!!!! You already hurted my arm. I went home with a lot of pain and when I removed the bandage my arm was extremely swollen. I went to UC from Kaiser and still trying to figure out what the woman did to my arm to the point I cannot raised or extend my left arm. I went to talked to a head nurse at BIOLIFE and the 1st thing she told me was.... YOU REALIZED YOU SIGN A WAIVER CAUSE THINGS LIKE THIS HAPPEN... really????? I been trying to talk to the person in charge of this location without any response. I understand that physicals are important in determining whether or not you're healthy enough to donate. However, sometimes this is taking to a ridiculous extreme. In my experience, I was sent back and forth to my doctor to have forms signed left and right, and they had absolutely nothing to do with my ability to donate plasma. I went to another place the other day and the first appointment I not only got through the physical but I also got to donate. With biolife, I was there five times and still wasn't finished with the forms and the back and forth to my doctor and all I had was a bad back. It was ridiculous. read more

GET RID OF PRISCILLA!!!!! The past three times that I have been here I have observed the other phlebotomist constantly, reminding her and telling her what to do she cannot pay attention. It is very clear. She cannot multitask and never ever have I had a painful needle insert until today. The person before me had a problem with her insert as well and the person next to me her arm swelled up because of wrong insert. my donation is so painful! I cannot wait to to see the beautiful bruise I'm about to have when I get off this chair. I'm not even gonna lie. All the other staff members seem annoyed having to work alongside her. Been donating here like a year and a half now. They recently upgraded all the machines so I'll in and out in an hour or less.

$600 dollars for 4 donations??? Sold. Okay so I was skeptical doing this - the prior reviews....well they are bad so I was on the fence about wasting my life sitting around for the first appointment where they do all the screening. This was my experience. -Thursday night go to their website and create a profile. -Friday morning show up 10 minutes before 9am (when they open) and stand in the line. I got CA DMV vibes haha. -9am-9:20 no waiting went through personal verification, iron test/weight test, and checking veins. -9:20-9:40 did a medical screening on a computer. This takes a bit of time as it won't let you move to the next question automatically- it's like a 20 second pause each question -9:40-10:20 had my physical and went over the medical screening questions I did on the computer. -10:20 - 11:20 Got hooked up to the machine and donated. It has a digital read out that's eye level to the chair that tells you what your goal number is and how far along you are. So my number was 886 and I probably put out 100 every cycle. So it took approximately 9 cycles of the system for my donation to be complete. 1 hour on the dot. -11:20 Seated in this waiting seated section. Was given a SWAG bag for coming. To be honest this is the only point I feel they dropped the ball cuz I sat here for 40 minutes, finally had to flag down someone and ask if I could leave. I think they forgot I was there. Employees were all great. All together I had Joyti, Margarita and Carol interact with me and they were all very nice. Ended the visit with a goody bag and $150 rich read more

My visit today was my 79th. I used to go only for the money. But, once I started to do it regularly, my friends would say thank you. I told them it was no big deal. Then they told me how they depend on plasma. So, I do it for another reason too. I don't even like needles, I laugh and asked who is going to stab me. Majority of staff at the facility are super friendly, helpful, and capable. A handful could use some people skill classes but besides that no issues. I've been going there around a year and 1/2 consistently and my only real issue is the money aspect of it. If you're a regular donor trying to get more money, it's damn near impossible however if you stop going for a couple months, then your rewarded like you're a first timer and offered more perks. Recently the pay was switched according to how many donations you've done or length you've gone and I'm still getting the same amount as before with no up in pay. It definitely helps supplement vacation money or fun stuff money but like so many other things the regular gets the short end of it. If they want more consistency than rewards those who are consistent and stop taking away the perks. read more

I don't understand the problem here. Instead of getting better, the lines are getting longer. We came in today and had to wait 20 mins for a bed and then 40 mins for the phleb to do the poke. They now only have two sections available, and if they are short staffed they need to be transparent and let the customers know instead of watching them stand in line forever.
