When I lived in Brentwood Forest the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center did a drive at the clubhouse there. It was one of the best experiences I had giving blood. Since then I've regularly given at the Crestwood location. It is easy to schedule an appointment, the staff are friendly, and there are the best snacks! I love it. Their set up looks like the Crestwood location. Staff is always friendly. I didn't rate as high because they never took the defer off me from my first visit they were suppose to. I also suggest making sure you're hydrated and eat a good meal prior. Make sure you get plenty of rest the night before. Tuesdays and Fridays are busy. I didn't take photo inside as patients are inside. It's very spacious and there is WiFi. They have sign up bonuses as they barely opened up earlier in December.

They were constantly checking on me during my donation and trying to do what they could do to make me comfortable. Very clean inside and it was a comforting environment. There were so many snack and juice options which I appreciated. I have been to places to donate before that have not had a lot of snacks which is a bummer when you are wanting to refuel after, but not this one.

They used to have a 3-tiered structure to pay you for your plasma based on your weight. Now, they have gone to a 5-tiered pay structure based on your weight AND Now Height. I have made over 500 donations with them and now they are doing this? Folks, it's all in the name of corporate greed AND (to use that disgusting business world phrase) "to enhance shareholder value." So their new motto, paying you less AND taking more from you. For the center I use in St. Louis, I give a rating of 4 out of 5 which I have done before and still do. My beef is with the corporate level decisions they make and this latest one is the reason for the 1 rating. Donating now will be less of a priority than it was before today.
