I haven't written a review in a while and I regret this one is for a bad experience…read more After receiving a billion phone calls saying that I was eligible to donate again, I figured I would set up an appointment at the Lindell main Red Cross office. As the main office they should be well staffed and I should be in and out right? I arrived on time but waited in the waiting room for ten minuets until they started to process me. The nurse was rushing and moving uncomfortably fast with only one other person in the room at the time. Why are you rushing when you are about to stick my arm! That alone made me nervous. Everything was going well until it was time to fill up the test tubes at the end. I guess there wasn't enough pressure but next thing I know the nurse was moving the needle around in my arm and then proceeded to prod me twice, before spilling blood over the test tubes and the bag labels. Frantically cleaning off the bags and the test tubes that were not all full she takes the needle out and wipes alcohol into the puncture causing it to burn! I had to wait several minuets for another nurse to draw blood from my other arm to fill the rest of the test tubes. I got in at around 7:30 and left at 8:45am, with an arm that is still sore. I probably will donate blood again but it seems like the mobile stations are way more efficient and convenient. I walked to one downtown from my office last time. I feel bad about scaring off potential donors, but wanted to say: be weary, I guess donations don't always go as well as Tracy W's!

When I arrived for my appointment, it was the same thing. The dentist seemed very competent and friendly, as well as the hygienist and the other employees. My problem took place in the middle of my extractions. I don't know if they are trying to save money or what, but they turned off the medication while they were still pulling a tooth out of my mouth. My wife said she could hear me from the waiting room and I know the doors were closed when I sat down in the chair. Once they were finished, they woke me up. Put ice on my jaws handing me a bowl of ice cream and hustled me out the door. Again, I can't can't say how nice and polite everybody was, but it certainly worries me that for whatever reason the medication was turned off in the middle of my oral surgery. Not a pleasant way to spend your day at all.
