Worst plasma place ever and recommend do not go to the one on pecos, first of all the manager doesn't know how to fire people and likes to have his favorites witch these favorites being really unprofessional at their job, and most of the workers rather just talk then get people poke and out of the building, also the girl name Lola who works at the pecos location needs to be fired ASAP, really unfortunate how someone can hate there job and take it out on a stranger and that's what messed up my experience, the day I donated she did everything wrong for example she pooked me wrong by going way to fast and not taking her time, an other was that she pooked me wrong and made me bleed all over and had to be deferred and lost out on MONEY that I needed. and I've been donating for years now and never had a problem like this while donating. This place needs to be closed down or hire all new staff or hire a new manger, this is ridiculous and needs to change now for the community and for the people who donate read more

This place discriminated against me for being trans even though meeting all of the legal requirements for donating plasma at the time of my appointment. The manager, Brenna Thomas told me I was denied because of my address. She claimed that my address was supposedly on a federal 'no donate list' because she claimed it was a halfway house (it isn't). My complex has never been a halfway house, not to mention it's literally across the street from the local high school for the community she operates in. Not to mention I'm not a felon. Put simply; she refused service despite having met all legal requirements for donation, made up an excuse and bold face lied to me about the reasoning behind her denial. Again, despite meeting all legal requirements that a trans person must meet to donate. Not to mention Brenna Was incredibly rude, condescending and disrespectful to me while speaking to me both over the phone and in person. read more

Employees are overly sensitive so please do not ask them to smile. The manager came out aggressively and asked the gentleman next to me as well as myself if we were ok.. A manager then continued to walk away and tell me that she was gonna make notation of this. I still don't know what this is. I would not recommend them. read more

The staff here have sooooo much drama and the only reason I know is because they talk about it constantly in front of everyone. I keep coming so I can donate and make a little extra cash but it's almost not even worth it coming here anymore. The staff is very rude and treat me like I'm stupid every single time I come in. They also take forever to get people hooked up to the machine and unhooked when donation is complete. This seriously adds on 40 minutes to the donation time. The last time I came in, an older man peed his pants while donating. The staff talked and laughed about this for the entire hour and a half I was donating. It was extremely rude and unprofessional. I hope none of these employees have plans of moving on to an actual hospital. It's sad that a place so beneficial for everyone is being ruined by drama. I will point out that I've had a probably three people who work here actually be nice and helpful which is great. read more

Been coming here for a year, donated over 100 times. Never had a restick until today. Don't put people that aren't trained to stick someone with a hard vein. Also i don't care if he wants to "try" it. I'm a human not a test dummy. read more

I prefer the walk in rather than by appointment. Much more flexibility that way. Nice staff. Cold though so bring a jacket.

-3 stars They're process for new donors takes forever and then they had to call their doctor I guess there's only 1 that can approve the medication I take for them to tell me I need to have my primary doctor to fill out the form and FAX it over ok a week later my doctor confirmed and a nurse called me to tell me the form was faxed over 3 days later I call Biomat just for them to tell me their FAX machine doesn't always get the faxes it would be better for me to get the form and bring it in what was the point of having me fax it in the first place if you were gonna tell me to bring it in anyway read more

So normally i come in the morning and have a great experience with the people who work here, they work hard and they get people in and out. I came at night and had a 6 o clock appointment and it is now 6:40 and i am still sitting here waiting to be put on a machine. There are 5 employees here who are all just talking and messing around with eachother instead of getting people on and off the machines. What is the point of making an appointment if I am not going to get a chair until an hour later? Why are all of the employees just messing around and not working? If you want a good experience here, always come in the morning, this is awful. read more

Very unprofessional! If you're new to Plasma donation and nervous about the whole process DO NOT come to this center! I went in day one and waited for two and a half hours for them to tell me there was some problem with my SS # from 10 years ago that they needed to fix! Wow! Really! Couldn't I have been told that before waiting for so long and given the choice of either staying or not! So I come back in 3 days for round two! This time I waited one and a half hours only to be told I couldn't donate due to a heat 'rash' that everyone I know looked at wondering what the hell these people were talking about! Anyway, Im unsure what their deal is but I know I will NEVER return to that god awful, rude, smelly place EVER again! read more

What a joke of a place. People just are not trained. Capturing blood from the in the middle of the pad of the finger instead of of side...Putting the blood pressure cuff on upside down and when telling them they got upset and yelled "well this is how I was trained" and stormed off. Went to the other room then eventually came back to send me to the waiting room to be screened by someone else. I am at a complete loss. I want to donate. I want to help. Now they are going to punish the customer bc of their incompetent actions. The intake group at this facility is horrible. Retraining for all of them. Never let them use their Bluetooth blood pressure cuffs...I can guarantee they are not calibrated since they are slapping them right in front of me telling me how they do not work. Zero accuracy. If you go to this location request the Welsh Allen machine which they may or may not let you use depending on "If they are being cool or not" ...their words not mine.... Once you get back to the donation part you have a 50/50 shot at that employee being disgruntled or not and complaining about their place of employment right to your face....at least so far..but clearly the front end needs training. I am definitely switching plasma centers. I have been in the medical field for over 8 years and have never encountered such nonsense. I've tried giving the benefit of the doubt now 5 times and each time is worse than the last. Do yourself a favor and check out CSL or Biolife. Maybe they actually train their employees. I chose this place bc of proximity to my home and work but will happily drive further to have confidence in someone's ability as well as professionalism. Donating plasma is good money but being treated as if you are a complete idiot is really unappreciated to say the least. It's concerning how many lay persons they may actually be causing harm to because they don't advocate for things to be done correctly. To qualify myself I am both a lab tech and EMT. Today was my first time giving plasma. Everyone is so friendly and informative here. Its a newer facility so its very clean. The whole process for your first visit takes 2-3 hours. After your initial visit it will take around an hour. The whole process was very organized and painless. Well minus the large needle of course. I will definitely keep coming back. If you are interested about the whole process you should definitely check it out! Lottie was the main person getting me checked in with my physical and she was professional and fun! The first few times I went they were nice but yes like everyone else said it took a very very long time. this last time I went in which was today I had an awful experience there was a short chunky Hispanic girl who helped me and right away she treated me like I was a criminal and so it made me mad and I walked out and that was it. I'm not going to get into the details of it but I do not recommend them and the reality is, they dig into your background so much you would think that you were trying to become an FBI agent they want three of your fingerprints from three fingers and want your social, your driver's license I mean every little bit of your past. I don't mind a little bit but really I'm donating plasma you don't need this much and it's creepy and on top of it donating plasma is not healthy for you so that's my two cents. read more

The staff are very helpful and informative. The sign-in process is easy. The monetary compensation is very satisfactory and fast. I feel the need to mention that I feel bad for the staff due to the quality of donors who show up here. This location unfortunately draws from some of the less desirable members of society, some of which have left negative remarks here on Yelp. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because my New donor process took 3 hours and I was the second donor in line. This is a newer facility and it is very clean and welcoming. And the donor pay is much better than another place that I donated in the past. The also have drawings for prizes periodically. Staff was very helpful and friendly. read more

I love this place. The staff is amazing and they are very serious on their job. I am very known at this location so it makes it keeps me from going to a closer location. I rather be around a staff I know already rather then start over and possible go through a bad experience, like with a previous donating place. This place has such a huge turn over rate. The person that sticks you one week might not be there the next. The staff are treated like s*** from management and then they expect them to stay? I went in for a "quick" donation and it took THREE hours just to get in and out and their excuse was that they were "short staffed". Well you wouldn't be short staffed if you kept your employees happy! I would HATE to work here and now I know why the staff does too! They tell them they can't get over time, then when it's busy they tell them to stay past the time they're suppose to be off. One of the girls that stuck me had PINK EYE and she told me she would have got written up for calling in had she done so. I was like "WTF" read more

This place is a really hard environment to work in. There is no communication between the staff, you will be dismissed of your breaks, no student/life/work balance. Under staffed and over worked. Barely any time to get water or have a bite to eat, donor waits are very long because of the lack of staff. I've had to hide granola bars under my scrubs and beg for bathroom breaks just so I could eat something. You get left in positions and forgotten about, and when you address the situation you are dismissed and treated poorly. Wasn't hired for the position I applied for. Sounds and seems like a great company to work for, great benefits are offered to you, but you won't have any time to sign up for them. A lot of changes need to be made to help improve this center. read more

I have been going here for a while now and like it for the most part. The wait time is extremely long and they are always short staffed. The staff is good and most do care but some just complain and talk about people the whole time I am there, lots of drama. I was deferred for over a month and a half for blood loss. I NOTICED IMMEDIATELY that it was pulling blood with my plasma, I called over a staff member who tried to fix it many times, I told her it was not right and did not want it to mess up my donations she assured me it was fine. I saw it happening again I called her over again, she got a supervisor who come over twice said it was she was checking my levels and I was good it was not drawing to much and would not mess with my donations. When I was finished it looked like fruit punch and when I went back they differed me for blood loss and made me feel like it was my fault, I was not to happy about that. The staff is really good but some need more training with sticking and removing they should not be ripping it out of my arm. I do like this place and love most the staff, but some improvements need to be made. read more

They refused to help a blind man who was out of money and out of food. I tried to schedule an appointment online Thursday, July 27, they showed there were no appointments available. So I called and spoke with the receptionist about 840 in the morning. She told me that I could just walk in anytime that day and they should be able to see me. I show up at 4:30 in the afternoon, I was told the list was full I begin to explain to the receptionist at the desk when I was told that morning she abruptly got up walked off and said I will see but they're probably full. A mell nurse came out and said he was the only one on duty besides a female nurse, and they could not except me. I proceeded to explain to the nurse that I was out of money and had no food and couldn't afford to come back the next day, that did not seem to matter he still said they would not except me what are people supposed to do if they have something to doin the morning and that's the only time they can come back? I really believe that they really just did not want to help a blind man with filling out the paperwork do not go here. And while I was talking to the nurse I told him with the receptionist said that morning he proceeded to tell me no one here would've told you that. And I can't even get management to get back with me to explain the procedures or whether or tell me whether I was right or wrong. read more

This company doesn't take any accountability at all. Be afraid be very afraid. You don't want to go to the doctor and find out that you've contracted something that could change your life. This place can only be sued if you contract a disease and by then it's to late. there isn't a lawyer in the whole state of Colorado that will touch the case. Be afraid. It looks like a quick couple bucks for gas or whatever might have you but the risk out weights any petty cash they can throw at you. This is not the way. Steer clear of this place and may GOD help the people that can't read this for themselves. read more
