This week was my first time donating plasma; you need to set up the first appointment which I did ( it took about 3.5 hours) which I knew was gonna be long ; now the phlebotomist asked who checked my veins ?! Hmm I explained when i was filling the papers ; she didn't seem happy that was her problem ; anyway I went back Saturday which the have to use the other arm which to tell the truth I can barely see it; but this time the phlebotomist was awesome ; she did it quick , no bruise , no pain ; her name is Allie; she is wonderful. Horrible experience at Kissimme Center. A whole lot of missed comunication. One person says one thing and another person a different thing, they are not all trained equally apparently. On top of that, the manager named Carlos, extrmely arrogant not a sign of customer services clue, even thou it were couple of his employees the ones who screw it up with the missinformation and the making of my appointments, he still try to blame it on me at first and than try to tell me with an actitude about the company's background....finally he let Alvaro, handle and fix the situation (WHAT A DIFFERENCE, ALVARO SHOULD BE THE MANAGER, HE FOR SURE KNOWS HOW TO TREAT PEOPLE WITH GOOD MANNERS)...That young kid Carlos does not know how to respect people older than him..... read more

I have been a donor for a few years . I took a year off cause it was taking up to 2 hours to donate. They offered a return offer and I decided to go back . It was amazing . Appointments , no waiting . Quick and easy, until today ..long story short. The machine kept going off saying high return pressure . No one checked it . I waited . Then she just kept saying you ate bad food yesterday . Your diet is fatty. 20 mins go by . Same problem. I ask if someone could check the machine. Now the phlebotomist is mad . Gets checked by a supervisor. She adjusts needle . Still no good . Ask if I had a blood loss before ? Nope , never had a problem till today . She says we will just wait and try to get you to some level . The original lady comes back. I asked if it has moved at all . She catches an attitude. You're blaming me for your problems . No, I asked a question. Then she starts saying she's not putting up with my bullshit. She's getting her manager . He comes over and says you have a question for me ? No sir, I just don't want your tech interacting with me anymore . At this point she's still cussing . I can't understand this cause there is a code of conduct donors have to follow .. but yet an employee can cuss and talk garbage. I asked at this point to be disconnected cause I'm done . Nobody deserves treatment like this . They got my full plasma donation and I didnt get paid .. it's all good cause I'm never going back . Nobody needs that kind of treatment ! read more

Just terrible treatment all around. I waited for over an hour with my first visit (usually they expedite to get me through a physical), called me up by error and had me wait another twenty minutes. Then when I finally got to the physical (after pricking my finger and refusing to give me a band-aid...sure I'll just bleed here), they crammed me in an office in close quarters with two other doctors who questioned an injury I had with my knee TWO DECADES AGO. I also brought up a small facial surgery I had five years ago and they asked me questions forever on that too. In the end, they REFUSED my plasma without "further information" and didn't even give me anything for the blood they did take. Terrible place, and I'll be damned if I ever come back. read more

A scam. I went in for my second donation went right up to the machine and passed my temperature check to do my questions as usual and then be told when I saw the nurse that my temperature had suddenly spiked to 106 degrees. Then I was told I'd be differed two weeks for no good reason. I was refused a second temperature check to test accuracy and told id lose my new donor benefits for the last 4 donations. I called and made sure I was eligible to donate plasma. I tried to donate plasma (new donor) and was told to come back the next day. Waste of my time! If you're a new donor, do yourself a favor and don't waste your time with this location. They will tell you to wait and eventually tell you to leave and come back another time. read more

I really really liked Biomat, I felt the staff was so kind and nice. It's sad that their employees are constantly leaving and new staff is coming. It's a bit sad that as a teacher they got rid of the 5 dollar bonus for us because we don't matter to them. It's heart breaking that most are great but one member continuously messes up sticking people and no one has thought to move them to another role. I had them once and never again I am almost couldn't donate again because of his mistake. The bonuses for returning donors is do small compared to new donors they get you in the door and they don't care despite needing continous donations. I hit a rough patch and have been trying to help myself and my family. After this I am done never again hopefully I plan to get through the holiday donate two more times and leave this in the past. I had friends who were gonna go I won't recommend this site to them. I hope biomat as a whole does better but this specific site especially. With hard times you would think they would show a bit more kindness. read more

I was a regular donor for 6 months and decided to try out the "new place". I was there for two weeks and decided to return to Grifols. They were a bit quicker at the other place but it was very impersonal. The phlebotomists here are just so much nicer. Friendly. They remember donors names. I came back for that. There's times I'm out quick and times it takes longer. Idk if becoming a military mom has made me more flexible but there's other things I need to worry about. The only reasons I don't give another star ... the new PaySign card SUCKS!!!!! The drop in pay also SUCKS!!! read more

I'm currently suffering a muscle injury from this place. They didn't get my vein and I told the guy I was in pain throughout the donation. I was neglected and told to make more fists. My left arm feels odd as if there is saline stuck. My muscles feel like it's being pulled when I use it. I may need to take legal action if this injury doesn't heal. It's been a week. I did it twice last week and it both felt extremely painful. read more

my experience was terrible! I stayed there for almost 2 hours, when I got to the last step! the nurse said she couldn't do the procedure because she didn't understand me! I'm not fluent in English! but she speaks spanish! I understand perfectly! I didn't like the way I was treated! i am an immigrant paid my taxes. I will sue the company! because there was discrimination on their part with me! First time there good experience ,staff great .but you need to bring a sweater or a jacket very cold while you're donating

When I first started going there in 2018 the service was friendly, and for the most part efficient. But after the change in Management to Grifols, I am extremely dissatisfied and have stopped going. There was a "glitch" in the registration process when you sign in at the kiosk during the changeover, and my profile unfortunately was one of a few that got compromised, so I was not allowed to donate. Well, that was over 2 months ago, and the situation has yet to be rectified. What's just as bad is the lack of professionalism from the "Supervisor" I stopped bothering to call to inquire because I NEVER received a phone call back regarding the issue, despite numerous messages that I left. After being a "regular" donater for many months, I was just left out in the cold, because of a technical glitch, and cannot donate anymore. Was just there never felt so unwelcome. Just for blood work and still waited 25 mins and it's extremely slow there. No one even looked at me while I was waiting in the back just to have blood drawn not donating. I had to ask the head Dr said yes we'll be with you. Nothing..... The nurse who checked me in appeared surprised I had not been seen. That did nothing as well. Finally when someone did come up she did not bandage me properly I had blood draining down my arm. Not one apology from a soul. Get it they were not busy at all and only 3 people working the donors the head Dr was helping probably to save on paid hours. Can only guess. They used to be welcoming now it's so indifferent to the old regular donors. Yes there are still a couple of nice phlebotomists there who actually cares and the ultimate reason for plasma donatios but a lot have changed there. And their advertisment cards "Buddy donors" cards is all in Spanish. 3 Card holders full. Not even one in English like they are weeding them out or it's only for one. Too many there for an over sight. This town is a melting pot of many and should have more than one language in advertisment cards. read more

I'm really confused how in anticipation of new competition entering the immediate area of the center you went from raising the donation pay rate 10 bucks to dropping it back to the regular pay rate and then as I walked in to my donation yesterday I see that it has been lowered. What really confuses me even more is the fact that now it takes longer to complete the entire donation process to what seems do to be perceived as a lack a staff to handle the remaining donors. I don't expect you to be able to deal with an influx of donors at any specific time of day but what I do expect is for the centre to be properly staffed. When this Center was under different ownership there was more staff in more benches would be filled. Now the entire process process takes much longer and for less pay. As an operations manager and business analyst myself I'm not going to blame the staff just typically comes from top leadership on down but this is leaving a very bad taste in donors mouths and they are actively transferring to BioLife. I walked in Monday with 27 people in front of me. I donate extremely fast I work out 6 times a week and drink plenty of water so my times range anywhere from 35 to 40 minutes to fill 880. I was there for over 3 hours. Help me understand how this is okay along with the fact that I am now receiving lower pay. Anyways I'm sure you have received multiple complaints regarding this so I will leave it at that and I would just continue to post my other complaint regarding this site and other social media platforms. This has been the trend at this location since you took over management so hopefully at some point you'll get the logistics down and proper work processes as well as staffing. The one thing that you did have going for you was pay and now you lost that because with that dropping pay you are now paying even less than BioLife. read more
