They were quick to greet us and very welcoming - they had no issues with the walk in. The location was clean and well-kept. The staff was thorough, but quick with everything so we were there for less than 30 minutes all in. They have private screening rooms for checking your overall health and eligibility. From there they offer you snacks / drinks in order to keep you happy during donation(s). The blood draw room is off to the left when you enter and there are several beds. There are a few TVs and they play mainstream shows that keep you distracted. Overall: A+ Donate if you can! You can help save up to 3 persons with EVERY donation. I donated platelets & plasma. The staff rolled their eyes in despair when the machine would beep. It was a lot of work squeezing my fist repetitively for hours. Their sourness made it worse. They kept trying to take my remote control, finally in wanted to keep it & asked one to please get batteries elsewhere. It was not fun.

Another lan technician came by to switch the needle from the left arm to the right, could not find the vein the previous technician found, and my donation was ended immediately without blood being returned. No accountability, either...they just talked to me like it was MY fault while the other techs have zero customer service skills or professionalism; they were shouting at me from across the room and loudly talking amongst themselves about break time and weekend plans. Working remotely I now have an assignment in the Orlando area which facilitates reassuming my donations here locally. My initial interaction with a help desk gentleman at 609 N Powers dr. Was nothing short of unprofessional, unwelcoming and borderline hostile. I was told that my address verification letter which had a USPS date stamp for the previous week was unacceptable and I was additionally insulted and asked who was the letter sent by . Even if the letter was sent from Santa Claus, that was in no way reflective of company policy, donor eligibility requirements, or my personal privacy. This staff is grossly unprofessional, displays aggressive patterns, of behavior and treat potential donors as an inconvenience . As a verified donor I merely required a change of venue, not a hostile interrogation from an inarticulate staff member.

Either hire more staff, OR (because I understand staffing and finding employees is hard right now so i say OR) limit/reduce the amount of appointments allowed. What's the point of an appointment if you have to wait OVER an hour to even get started So far I'm only giving 4 stars because the wait is INSANE! I had my first donation, but everything took EXTRA long even more so. I understand I'm a new patient but when it takes OVER an hour waiting for each station it's insane. My appointment was for 8:50, I showed up promptly then. I did not leave until 1:20pm. So 4 and a half hours. Double the length it should have taken. The facility is nice and clean, staff is friendly but not clear at all in the beginning on the process or wait length. So we will see how donations go moving forward. But just prepared to have a free day your first time.

Phlebotomy does not teach to be lazy or to sit on your ass it teaches you to help make more medicine for those in need. The 1st visit- nobody seems to man the "customer service" desk, I arrived 5-10 minutes after opening and went directly to the customer service desk where I stood waiting for 10 minutes before a very bored looking technician asked if I need d something!? She got another sad/bored employee to help me. No one in this place looks happy, there is NO music, I went in February and the remnants of old Xmas decor was still partially taped to various places on the wall. I've gone 3 times now, every time the technician (always a different one) jabs the needle in my arm... then starts "threading" the needle in my vein!! The last time I was there: 4-5 "suits" there waiting for a manager, the kiosk dirty and looks like syrup on it (at opening), rude tech doing vitals calling out my weight, and while donating, a technician named something like Janeka (?) bummed my corner donation bed so hard, it shifted about 6" and she never apologized or checked if everything was okay! NO ONE is happy here.. not employees or donors! I'd rather go back to BioLife... not as much $$ but the employees are always so sweet, the place is spotless and music is always playing! Oh... and you can make an appointment and not have to wait HOURS! Kedplasma needs to just shut their doors: dirty environment, rude/unhappy employees.

But when the "nurse" who put the needle in his arm, completely missed his vein and DUG the needle around in his arm for a minute, and had to have someone else re poke him to find it! This resulted in him developing a hematoma, along with sever bruising and pain! It had been a bit since I had donated due to my low iron, barring me from it. Got there fifteen…read moreminutes early, and the two workers were busy but quickly welcomed me in. The entry has two small fridges with waters and juices plus a variety of cookies and snacks for when you leave. I ate some beef the day before and hours ahead of going in, and I passed my iron test. The interview was done, and I was able to select where to lay as my blood was taken. Wonderful experience was due to how professional and friendly everyone was.
