The stuff is really nice. The machine seemed to malfunction a lot. And if you go on Friday or Sunday be prepared to wait forever.

Has their new donor compensation changed or is it still $100 for the first 10x?

Even though this question is four years old, I can tell you that right now (May 2026), this location pays $125 for your first two donations, then $40 and $70 respectively for two donations each 7-day period (and you're locked into donating the same… Read more

I'm trying to learn what the new-donor bonus is, and how much compensation is generally... but no one ever answers the phone! And I've tried all 3 numbers I could find. Do I really have to drive all the way over there just to find out?

Yes, you do need to drive there. It's a closely guarded secret. Just kidding you. It's $100 for each of the first 10 donations. So $1,000 total. I believe those 10 must be completed within 60 days.

Is a SSN required to donate? I don't have one. Nor do I have an ITIN 😭

    How much is compensation?

Hi, Kimberly! Rates vary, but on average you can earn up to $100 in your first week providing the plasma used to help make life-saving medicines. The specific compensation amount depends on where your plasma donor center is located, how often you… Read more

The only person I had a great experience with here who actually tried helping me was nurse Joy. The labs that Dr.caro had ordered were insanely expensive but I was finally getting some answers so I was continuing with him. I struggled paying for some of these labs once and couldn't get my bloodwork done so Dr.Caro didn't want to see me unless I did the labs. I called asking if they could send the lab work to another lab for me so that I didn't have to pay the lab work in a huge lump sum and because my illness began accelerating and I was quickly becoming bedridden. I explained this to Joy and she did her best to help me out but in the middle of talking to her, the receptionist yanks the phone away from her and without letting me explain my situation just told me to get the bloodwork done and hung up on me. ZERO EMPATHY OR UNDERSTANDING. I tried asking them to help me fill out my FMLA forms too but they also wanted to charge me $300+ just told fill out a few lines on a sheet of paper. I couldn't afford either of these things because I was already on disability and wasn't getting enough. Eventually I became bedridden within the next 2-3 weeks and I ended up in the hospital and lost my job because the receptionist, Maria, didn't want to allow Joy to help me with sending the lab work elsewhere and because they refused to send the FMLA paperwork by the designated timeframe I gave them. I required emergency surgery because I had a large malignant tumor on my ovary as well as multiple autoimmune disorders. Dr.Caro initially asked me to call him and tell him of any changes I was experiencing because of how sick I was but when I'd call to ask to speak to him to ask a question about new symptoms the receptionists would gate keep him and tell me that "All I had was a UTI" despite the insane amount of pain and telling them I knew it wasn't a uti. After losing everything I had to sign up for state benefits and required my medical records from Dr caro. I called them while I was in the hospital to request them and they said that they would send them over. A day later and nothing came through so I called again and they said they'd send them over again, nothing. At this point I realized they weren't actually going to send them and that they were just giving me the run around. I called again and asked for them to be emailed or mailed and they refused to send them or give them to me unless I went in person and paid a $25 fee. Even when I explained that I just had MAJOR surgery and was in the ER they wouldn't consider mailing them or allowing a relative to pick them up. They gave me a really hard time and were being so condescending to me just because I couldn't physically go in person. I later found out that what they were doing of charging me for my records when I'm trying to apply for benefits was illegal through the Medical Boards website. I sent them an email instead asking for them to be sent by mail. It was only after I explained the medical boards rule and asking for a reasonable accommodation that they actually sent me my records. Their negligence led me to lose my job and that created a chain of issue after issue when I was applying for medi-cal and Edd. This ended up delaying my treatment by a few months AND delaying my Edd claim processing. It took over a year to rectify the issues that arose from EDD. Unfortunately I had to contact them again so that they could fill out one final form for EDD to be finalized. When I called, the office manager was nothing but unprofessional, condescending and mocking the fact that I was a disabled cancer patient. I tried being cordial but the way they were talking to me was so rude that I had to lie and say some bullshit where my disability required they email me. It was only then that they actually acted professional. I had to wait a year to write this damn review because I was scared I wouldn't get my benefits. Just don't come here, the only pleasant person here is Joy who is such an Angel.

I just kept getting sicker and sicker than finally a scary hospital stay and that's where I met Dr. Caro. He was able to find out what autoimmune(s) I had and the best way to treat them, something no other doctor could find. I see the reviews about being frustrated with the labs and testing but honestly that's what saved my life and what is takes with these autoimmune diseases. He leaves no stone unturned he is so wonderful and cares so much. Without his labs and thinking outside the box I might not be here. The office staff is wonderful as well always kind and helpful. Dr. Caro is the best, and I owe him so much I would never get another Rheumatologist until the sad day he retires.

It took 3 months to get into see him for consultation but we'll worth the wait! My husband was only 40 at the time and after going over his imaging and history he suggested something much different than what Dr. Grossman at SCOI wanted to do to him! (3 discectomies & fusion) holy crap! Dr. Taban said "absolutely not! You're young and healthy...You'll be back in 10 yrs for more surgery!" His recommendations were clearly what my husband needed and we scheduled his surgery w/Taban-had to wait 3 months for the date (that's how busy he is) but again we'll worth to wait! When Dr. Taban got going on the surgery he found that one of my husband's disks had ruptured, and that definitely explained why he was in so much more pain... So he cleaned up all the fragments as well as the bulges and said, there was plenty of disc remaining. No need to remove them. He also performed a Foraminotomy, and a laminectomy, as well as drilled the holes wider for the nerve roots to flow freely through. My husband was a new man within a week! Dr. Taban is amazing! My husband has been doing wonderful ever since-20 years later. He still has some soreness that he has to deal with and does see a chiropractor sometimes. We learned so much through this, and we're so grateful that we found this Dr. Taban. Do not let anyone touch your spine unless they're a neurosurgeon! Even if they're a "spine specialist" don't waste your time! Go to a neurosurgeon. Highly recommend Dr. Taban! P.S. At his office, in the lobby there's lots of reading material available which consists of hundreds of letters from patients thanking him and I can't remember how many of those letters were from people who were hacked by a different doctor and we're coming to Dr. Taban to fix/clean up their mess!

When we came last January for a trial day I knew that we would have substantial challenges moving into a classroom setting. Our son was diagnosed at an early age and does have severe symptoms, as well as being non verbal. But after spending the last four years with various agencies in the DTT model at home, we were ready for a change. After our intake assessment, it was clear that our son wasn't ready for a classroom setting. So instead they made the offer for us to access the clinic for ABA and push into the Academy over time. He's really blossomed in this model. He's totally acclimated to the classroom now, and will be moving into the classroom full time soon. Any complaints I've had have been met with solutions and if there was a problem they could not solve they referred me to someone who could. Mr. Sam and Karlie are great teachers, and the classroom is amazing. Music therapy is twice a week and they have clinics for OT and speech. Once a month there are Saturday camps, and Friday evening camps as well. These don't have an additional cost except for siblings and as long as you have therapy hours available. Holiday events have been so much fun! The school doesn't require verbal only like every other competitor in the area that refuses to serve any other population other than tier 1 verbal kids. So that was a huge plus for us. The program is year round. Overall we are really satisfied, and look forward to the 2019-2020 school year.
