They are open and seem to be doing pretty good by the looks at all the customers, though they we be expanding their menu. Mangoneada is pretty tasty. It comes in a tall clear cup with a few scoops of mango water nieves, mango, and hot sauce drizzled all over. The mango water nieves was just ok. Thankfully the fresh sweet mango chunks and spicy salty hot sauce made up for the average tasting nieves. Prices were so-so and service is painfully slow. read more

My brother and I bought the medium sized bonicos for $4.50 which is larger than most places where there is only one size for their bionicos and it goes usually for $4.50 or even $5! This place does have a larger size for $5.50 and it's those boxes used from chinese take-out places that you will get if you got a combo meal. Ok- I'll admit I didn't try a raspado or diablito here. (I didn't even know what those were before reading all the amazing reviews and checking out the pictures for this place.) I just got a coffee. Definitely recommend this move if you were just out drinking down the street at ETA or La Cuevita (or wherever) and you now have to drive home. The coffee isn't much (instant coffee, with a choice of milk or powdered creamer). You could probably make it at home for $ 0.40. But the shop owners/workers were nice and speedy and let us sit and hang out for a minute despite the fact that we didn't order much. So basically, this review is for the good service. This is not a fancy place, it doesn't look like much on the outside. But it took me back to simpler times, and reminded me of my childhood somehow. I definitely want to come back here for some of what they're known for. (Fairly easy to find street parking on the nearby neighborhood streets.) read more

Juice Is Good I've only tried this place once. My initial reaction was, "Wow!" Watermelon juice is Delicious, about as tasty as you can expect. The owner is a rude creeper!! He used key to open bathroom while I was there!!!! I am so regret that I didn't report to the police!!! Girls, be careful and be aware! Protect yourself and call police if you see anything weird and uncomfortable!! I came to this place to have some ice with friends. Afterwards, I went to use the bathroom. I walked in and locked it inside. When I am zipping my skirt, someone was using a key try to open to door and successfully opened it. I yelled at that person the whole time, hey hey, no no. He didn't listen. Finally he opened the door and stare at me. I told him to go away. He yelled at me " you need to have a key" while he was staring at me the whole time. The bathroom doesn't have any sign to ask for keys from owners, it was open and able to lock inside, which fits all the quality of a normal no-key needed bathroom. He saw me using the bathroom, normally people would say sorry or excuse me, he didn't say any apology but straight yelling at me. Normally people would walk say immediately, instead of that, he was staring me the whole time. I had a horrible and terrified experience at this place. I failed to protect myself and got yelled at for something that is not my fault. As a customer, I got the worst treatment possible, as a female, I got the owner invalidated my privacy. I don't recommend anyone come to this place anymore. Home-made fruit sorbet is the perfect way to cool down in the 100+ degree weather and while they had a great variety of treats, the mango was my favorite - highly recommended. But unlike more ice cream shops, they serve their frozen treats in styrofoam cups and a medium cup (about 4 small scoups) is priced at $2.00. What a hidden gem! I am addicted to their Mangoneada! A Mangoneada is pretty much chopped up fresh mango with fresh mango sorbet, hot sauce mix, and fresh lime juice. This is sooooooo incredibly delicious.. Salty, sweet, sour, and spicy! This combo really stimulates your pallette. It is perfect on a hot summer day. I also tried their " Diablolic? This one has chopped pineapple, lime sobet, hot sauce, and a tamarind spicy stick! This does not come with the Mangoneada These are such both fun treats! They give you the fat Boba straws so you can suck it up or spoon it out. Originally I thought this place only had fresh juice and chopped fruit. What a surprise!!! They also have Shrimp Cocktails and Seafood Ceviches. I am really looking forward to trying some of these other items for lunch. The owners are very nice. The only reason I didn't give them five stars was because the lady messed up my order after specifically explaining an ingredient I didn't want added, and still put it in! I asked for a large watermelon juice, and it was AMAZING. I felt bad watching him make it because I saw how labor intensive it turned out to be. He de-seeded and finely chopped each piece with a knife. It took a lot of chopped watermelon to fill up that large container. The end result was nothing but THEE best juice I've ever had. My two favorite items on the men are the Bionico which literarily means Bionic ... Go figure ... I wonder what the story is behind that. It consists of cantaloupe, fresh strawberries, apples and bananas topped with a honey infused yogurt, raisins, coconut shavings and granola !!! A small one could be considered a meal. My second favorite is the Mangoneada... It consists of Mango sherbet on top of mango chunks topped with Chamoy which is a sour and chili sauce that makes your mouth water. They have all my childhood favorites here! I remember always getting hot cheetos and cheese and nachos from the neighborhood ice cream truck when I was younger. Ice cream trucks are a bit scarce now a days so im glad theres a place i can go to that has all these things. Their bionicos is the best!! Just the perfect amount of crema and fruits.
