I wanted to like this place since it's convenient and healthy, but now I can't really trust their basic food quality / safety, needless to say the "premium" factor of it given the high price tag. I ordered a harissa chicken salad and the guy grabbed one directly from the fridge. I took it to-go and didn't think much of it, but when I opened it a little later, I found mold in the bowl (that's after I already started to blend the salad and ate a few bites). I don't know how much mold was there and how long has it been there, but felt very grossed out. Then I took a look at the date on the package - it was packed on 3/8, and today is already 3/12! Unfortunately I was already too far to go back to them. But I just can't believe they were charging a 4-day-old salad $13 pre tax as if it were fresh. I think I'd probably do better with fast food salad. Now I'm also worried about getting sick from the bites I took. I definitely won't come back. Absolutely love this place! I take the kids I nanny to this spot and it's wonderful. There's a good amount of seating in here so it's a good place to chill on a hot day while you have a cold drink. They love the cacao crazy smoothie. I've gotten food here a couple times and it's very fresh and great quality. But what I love most is the staff!! I'm kicking myself for forgetting her name but she's been working here since they opened and she's there every single time I go in. She has the kids (very specific) order memorized and is always so happy and helpful and we love her so much!! Really enjoyed the bowls and smoothies here!! My husband and I came twice in one week and used a BOGO coupon we had gotten a while back. The food was portioned very generously and felt very healthy and nutritious. We were able to split a bowl and smoothie between us and feel full. So nice that The Daily has opened! I just tried it today for lunch. They have a selection of grab and go salads, sandwiches, and sides, made fresh each day, and they also have made to order juices, smoothies, and bowls. I went along with my husband. He ordered the Spicy Italiano sandwich and a green juice. I ordered a custom bowl ("like Chipotle but better" as they told me) and the green smoothie. The bowl seemed pretty simple but it was such a nice combination of ingredients. I added the chicken which was really good, and I got the harissa ranch sauce to finish it- very tasty, a little spicy. We had to sample each other's choices too. Everything is really fresh with nice high-quality ingredients and the recipes are excellent, more elevated and considered than your typical lunch cafe. The stuff we got was so great, I'm excited to return and try more! We got a side of the Tahini Sweet Potatoes after we finished lunch, to take back home and enjoy with dinner. The employees are super friendly and helpful too. And they are closed on weekends so plan accordingly. Rude and racist or clearly dumb and unaware about their own menu options??? I rarely leave bad reviews but have to share an unpleasant experience with a really rude lady that works there. I was excited to try this place and I was in the mood for a smoothie. I walk up to the cashier lady and inquire about the types of smoothies and if they have any nondairy substitutes. I had noticed they have vegan food options so didn't think a non-dairy option would be out of the question. But when I asked if she had a substitute for the yogurt, she plainly respond "no." I paused and waited for her to offer any suggestions and she just gave me a blank look. I am a middle age lady that has been around, I know when I am not or "my kind" is not welcome. She began to condescendingly explain why yogurt is used in smoothies. I told her I understand the texture and protein reason, but I am not able to consume dairy products. Again, pausing for her to hopefully chime in with a suggestion or alternative...She just stood there with a blank stare And just said they don't have any alternatives. It was all very strange, but even worse when she was so smiley and pleasant with the lady after me. A clear difference in attitude. What's worse is after I left I went on their website and found that they have a whole host of alternative non-dairy options, including nondairy yogurt!!!!!! Wtf lady!!!!
