First time visiting here. It seems like it is a make your own healthy bowl with protein, veggies and 3 toppings. Everything looked very fresh. I got the to go quinoa tabbouleh and it was fresh and delicious. I was a little underwhelmed by the $12 tropical smoothie (mango, strong peanut butter, banana notes). It was more oat-y and peanut flavored than mango. Great to have in the neighborhood.

Words cannot do justice to how absolutely bomb this place was, so I made one up. "Synthalicious" (sin-thuh-LISH-us) Definition: (adj.) Incredibly tasty, especially in a high-tech, next-level way; delicious beyond traditional flavor -- like something engineered for maximum pleasure This food was soooooo gooooooood!!! The inside is very cute and green. Me and my mom got the Harissa salad and they have it right there on the side or they can make it for you if your teeth are sensitive. The spicy kick from the sauce is strong but good and the green machine smoothie just adds to the experience, it tastes like you are entering a forest and there are trees everywhere and pine cones it's so synthalicious. Plus the chips are also very good. FYI this place closes later than 4. 11/10

Really enjoyed the bowls and smoothies here!! My husband and I came twice in one week and used a BOGO coupon we had gotten a while back. The food was portioned very generously and felt very healthy and nutritious. We were able to split a bowl and smoothie between us and feel full. We enjoyed the chicken option more than the beef but both were delicious. Both the employees working there were super welcoming and nice. Would definitely go back! Parking: there is a free lot with parking! This restaurant is in the same lot as Trader Joe's, so it can get busy

Stopped by The daily randomly after a workout at 24 hour fitness. The chicken bowl was delicious, and I ordered a Cocoa smoothie sooo good. I will be coming back to try the beef bowl. If you are undecided on the dressings they will provide a sample for you! Staff was friendly, total was $30. I went on a Sunday around 1pm and it was empty.

To be fair, I did come in after the lunch rush, so maybe it was just a long day. What really bummed me out was my order. The French Connection used to be my favorite, but this time it had way less filling and just wasn't satisfying. I also ordered a cup of chicken, which was the same small serving as before, but now it's almost $8; not really worth it for what you get. I love supporting small businesses and have enjoyed Father Nature in the past, but honestly, I'm not sure I'll be back anytime soon.

There are so many Middle Eastern cafés and restaurants in town, but this one always stood out to me. It is extremely fresh and flavorful they make the food after you order and Service is warm and friendly. The quality has never wavered and trust me, I have eaten here many times. I enjoy their pressed wraps, but especially love the fries. I am picky about fries, but these are always made to order and always just perfect. It has a Middle Eastern seasoning on it which you can opt to leave off. I love them with a dipping sauce of spicy tahini, which they will provide if you ask. You can of course get it non-spicy as well. Their menu can satisfy many different diets including vegetarian/vegan, keto/low carb, pescatarian and meat eaters It's just extremely reliable and high-quality and I plan on continuing to be a regular customer.

The restaurant is never that busy, but don't let that fool you, because every time I've passed by, it's mostly people grabbing takeout. Their menu is very limited. I got the beef-lamb shawarma. For 6 inches, it's not a ton of food but it's a fair amount. There was a good amount of beef and lamb which was cooked really tender, and I liked the combination of sauce and vegetables they used. The taste wasn't overwhelming and I don't think it needed anything additional. They even have Sriracha sauce on the side which I used and it added a nice flavor kick. Definitely will be back when I want something small, good value and convenient.

He shared that he's from Syria, which I really respected due to the authenticity.

I love a good sandwich, but a lot of sandwich places have sandwiches that never seem to be enough food for me LOL. Ggiata's does the job! Ggiata's sandwiches are very hearty! My favorite is the Classic Italian. My wife's favorite is the Prosciutto Panini. FYI - For those who don't like thick bread, you may not like the grilled sesame baguette. But you can totally ask them to replace with the grilled ciabatta! Parking in my opinion just sucks all around Highland Park in general. There is a parking lot at the corner of Meridian / Ave 51 around the corner, but we've never had any luck getting a spot in there so just expect to have to find street parking.

While the menu is the same, the Highland Park spot on York Boulevard has more ample seating (with a diner-style setup along with some sidewalk tables), and I've also found the service to be more welcoming than the other Ggiata location. While both locations manage a lot of to-go orders, I've found that my orders are completed promptly when I've ordered in person at this newer branch. During my most recent visits I ordered the crispy chicken Caesar wraps, and my experience has varied. While I enjoyed it the first time I ate it, the filling ratio was off the second time (with an inordinate amount of Romaine lettuce compared to chicken). While I would not go out of my way to order at Ggiata, it's a decent option if I'm in the area and craving a sandwich.

I tried the Chicken Caesar Wrap and the Margherita Pizza. My most candid thoughts: Margherita Pizza: This resembled more of a flat bread than a pizza. The sauce they used tasted like tomato pasta sauce from a jar and not necessarily pizza sauce. The dough tasted somewhat undercooked and thick, and the sauce and cheese did not stick well to the dough. Very bland in flavor. Huge portion though for the price. 5.5/10 Chicken Caesar Wrap: Very underwhelming as the chicken tasted dry and rough. I really liked the Spicy Caesar sauce though. It really spiced things up and added more flavors to the bland wrap. Portion was great and lettuce was fresh. I loved that they added avocados. However, it was definitely not the best Chicken Caesar wrap I've ever had and I would most definitely not be dying to order it again. 7/10 Parking is convenient as there is a free lot nearby.
