I started getting respiratory symptoms 6 months ago and had to see a pulmonologist, who prescribed medications for presumed asthma diagnosis. I was aware of what I thought was just " mildew" under my bed- my dog comes in from the rain, sleeps under there, little air flow- I didn't think much of it. But my cough got more severe and I was using albuterol several times a day. I was kinda freaked out about how out of breath I was. So I decided to tear the bed down and shampoo the carpet...everything got worse from there. When I shampooed I wore a mask, but the next day I went into the room and the fans were blowing all around, and I immediately had a severe reaction and was violently vomiting. I had to go to urgent care for a nebulizer treatment and steroids. I had to sleep on the couch and couldn't even go in without an n95 mask, and would still have an asthma attack afterwards. I was SO SICK! I even had to call into work 2 times. This was crazy, though, right? Just mold! What is going on? Then I read about mycotoxin illness and it's bad! So I look for mold remediation on the internet, talk to some people and ask about experiences...and come to the conclusion this is going to be an expensive chemical nightmare that only ends temporarily... So what blew my mind was how much better I felt after he was done treating! No joke! The probiotics have sort of a woody, yeasty smell to them, but that dissipates after a few hours. They don't leave a residue on windows or anything else. I even had him do my truck! Peter showed up at my house on time and told me that he wasn't planning on treating at that visit, because he had used up all his product on the previous job and would just like to evaluate that day. I became panicky- I was SO SICK! When I told him how sick I was he said he would go get the supplies and come back right away- an hour out of his way! DO. NOT. TRUST. THIS. COMPANY. They either have no idea what mold is, or they use scare tactics to separate you from your money. BiOrganics was called out to a rental property of mine by some tenants who suspected there was mold in the house. The report/estimate I received made it sound like the basement was completely covered in mold and water damage; I'm talking absolute worst case scenario stuff. The estimate to remove the mold was in the thousands of dollars and would have left me with thousands more in additional repairs from opening up walls and such. Naturally, I immediately went to see what was happening. When I got to my rental and started looking for the problem I couldn't find anything that looked like mold or water damage in any of the areas described in BiOrganics' report - or anywhere else for that matter. I figured I must be missing something so I decided to get a second opinion. The company that came to give me a second opinion insisted there was absolutely no mold or water damage anywhere in the house, and certainly nothing that would warrant the type of work that was proposed in BiOrganics estimate. Sure, mold spores are everywhere and it's a good idea to keep your house clean with healthy products, but to intentionally mislead a homeowner and recommend costly, unnecessary work is just plain scandalous. read more

Our family was shocked to realize we had a full gallon of water that had leaked onto our floor and had been sitting there wet for weeks without us knowing. We only noticed when we started to smell the dampening of the blankets that were covering the area. We pulled up the carpet and were horrified to see what we assumed to be mold on our floorboards. We had worked with other big name companies in the past for similar issues so those were the first we called. They both estimated it would be about $1000-$3000 worth of work to clean the mold, clean the air and tear away destroyed carpeting. As a new mom I was terrified of having them come in and treat our home with chemicals our child would be subject to, but I also was disgusted with the thought of mold exposure as well. I was extremely happy with Biogranic's approach. It has been difficult finding a company that provides an affordable estimate. I have mold throughout both of my bathrooms and in my kitchen, but have been unable to afford mold remediation. When we purchased our home in February 2018 the previous owners had a mild treatment done in the attic because it was extremely bad. Peter was exceptionally professional and honest in handling our situation. Last summer, we had our house tested and found mold in our attic. Peter came out right away to give us an estimate on abatement. He also warned us that his work would not last unless we changed the ventilation in our roof and attic, and he recommended we take care of that first. We ended up re-roofing the house (which needed to be done anyway) and installing new ventilation. So then we had Peter come back this spring to finally do the mold abatement. Peter arrived right on time and got everything set up. Then before he started the work, he showed us that we really didn't have a mold problem anymore; the ventilation improvements had allowed everything to dry out and the mold was gone. He could have done the job anyway and we never would have known, but instead, he was honest and saved us a few hundred dollars.
