I didn't take a before photo.... sorry! But imagine you have a beautiful dog who gets really sick on a light beige carpet. It was like green bile. I had spent 40 minutes on this stain. We needed the carpets cleaned anyway, but I was shocked and amazed Kris got that stain out. He made our old carpets look fresh and clean. (Yes, we'd like to replace them but it's not in the cards for a while.) Kris also has a positive, empathetic attitude, but if you're a work from home, he'll let you be. Finally another value this company provides is that the extraction he does gets the water/cleaning solution back out of the carpet much more thoroughly than other companies we've hired in the past; this means that the carpet dries in a much more reasonable time--within hours to maybe a day. If your HVAC offers a whole house fan on switch, that will speed it up even more. read more

Had Mr. Steam out a couple weeks ago after a broken backwater valve caused a mess on our downstairs carpet. Chris did a fantastic, thorough cleaning that restored life in the house back to normal. Particularly notable was how Chris walked me through the problem before starting, setting realistic expectations about what he can and cannot accomplish in one single cleaning with a mess like that. Sure enough, about three spots reappeared that resulted from the cleaned but wet carpet wicking up some more dirt from the concrete floor underneath. So Chris made another stop to spot clean those stains, and everything now looks as good as before the back up. Chris is a good man and I enjoyed some friendly conversation with him. They did a fantastic and thorough job, the best that we've ever had, which is saying something, especially in light of the fact that we have two chow-chows that are constantly cycling through shedding gobs of hair. I've lived in my house for almost 9 years and have always rented commercial cleaning systems from Home Depot...until yesterday. After reading the reviews and doing some research, I thought I should hire a pro. Kenneth from Mr. Steam swung by and cleaned the rugs/carpets. The eco-friendly process was very quick and the result was awesome, better than any of the chemical cleaning machines I've used before. He helped move the furniture, checked out all of the stains beforehand, made sure everything would be done right. When I mentioned that my partner had asthma issues, he took the extra time to make sure that everything being used wouldn't trigger a reaction and also was very helpful in offering insights on how to reduce allergens in the air. When I first called, I asked about the Yelp deal being offered , which he said he'd honor and that I could work with him direct instead of purchasing through Yelp. After cleaning the entire house as well as a few rugs, he ended up charging me even less than the stated offer! I'll never go back to the rental machines again. I called later in the day last Thursday you let me talk about my washer and that it broke and dumped so much water on my carpet in the hall I didn't even feel rushed talking to the person on the phone.
