Bird bowl accommodated our larger group without any hassle. We had a team get together that had 20+ people and we were able to book lane next to each other with a reservation pretty last minute. The only tricky thing is parking, but the grazianos side of the parking lot has more spots during the week. As a big party we did t get to take advantage of the regular Wednesday deal, but we were all able to bowl together and our gym outing was really a success. Plus the lane provided optimal ball weight and capacity for all of our bowlers and I was actually able to bowl well. I also appreciated the updated bar, snack stand, and reception. We waited an hour and a half to get a lane and then when we received the text they said we waited too long to check in and could not get a lane. Okay where do I begin? Last night was my first time at this place. It was a celebration for my sister's birthday. It was a Saturday night (last spring break weekend) so I was expecting a crowd. However, we only had to wait 30 minutes which wasn't bad. It was 6 of us and I paid $54 (includes shoe rental) for one hour of playtime. So the price was what I'm use to. The parking is limited for sure but if you don't mind a little walk you will find some. The facility is okay nothing special. The restaurant was still in renovation. I guess my only complaint was the bathroom was DISGUSTING! Seriously I know it is crowded and they maybe under staff but the bathrooms might as well be a portal potty or an outback. Yuckkkk! Other than that we had a fun time. There are large sections where you can game or play pool only. Not to shabby! If it wasn't so far from me I would definitely go back. read more

So this whole adventure started because I heard an advertisement on the radio saying that it was ladies night on Thursdays here at bird bowl. At my office we do this thing called team night on Thursdays where we go somewhere to hangout and have fun (let the tie loose and just hangout). So I suggested this place because of the deals. If you come here on a Thursday they have ladies night which means that ladies drink for free when they are bowling. It's 10 dollars per person per hour with shoes included. The first time we came we had an absolutely blast so we have been back a few times since that. The security guards are super nice. They just make sure that everyone is 21 and that the girls aren't sharing their drinks with the boys. The actual staff however is a hit or miss... most of the time I don't have a problem but sometimes it gets crazy because since we are a big group usually everyone pays separately but as of late they are making everyone pay together. That becomes a hassle because they can only use two cards and the rest has to be cash. So if you have a big group I suggest you tell everyone to bring cash. Also the bars only have one bartender working it which in my opinion is probably really hectic for them and it also makes getting a drink a challenge and you are probably waiting for 10 mins for a drink which sucks because the bowling is timed. It was my first time bowling at Bowling Bird. I'm visiting from Atlanta. It was a family affair, with about 12 members. We had two orders of wings, two cheese pizzas, soda and water. Everything was really good, fried really well. My main issue is with the bowling balls. The size 10L was good but the holes were to big, along with the oiliness of the ball made it very difficult for me to even hold on to the ball. The size 12L was to heavy but had adequate sized holes. Next time I'll try to bring my own equipment from Atlanta as a carry-on. read more

This place is truly a Miami staple. It has been around for over 50 years, but they've done several remodeling since then. Mind you, it's not the nicest bowling alley or in the nicest area. But at the cheap prices and fun atmosphere, you can't complain. They have about fifty lanes, so you don't really have to wait, unless it's a weekend. They have good music, and even shut down the lights to have a mini-nightclub vibe. You should definitely come to this place to have some old school bowling fun. read more

So Bird Bowl. Where do I begin. It's not a bad place at all. There are certain times to go that would better suit your needs though. It was 10 of us on a normal night and to get the lane for 2 hours came out to $190. That did include shoes. That's about $20 a person. They have a very loud party style atmosphere at night. Tvs everywhere and projectors. They do lights past 10pm. Turns into a cosmic bowling type of night. The place is filled with a lot of people who can be obnoxious though. The girls who work the counter get the work done, even if lacking in the customer aspect of it. They're young and deal with young people all night so I guess it's just a routine. The food is decent. Never drank there but they do have pool tables as well and a small arcade area for anyone wanting to head into that section. It's a fun time once your on the lanes. It's a total madhouse and thankfully, there's a bar where you can throw caution to the wind and head straight for three-sheets-land. You know, where you can forget the hormone-crazed adolescents and toss back a pint with a grown up. Should you nimble fingers desire exercise, there's a full-on arcade filled with any game you've ever thought about playing. That bizarro big-kid who's way to close to being 19 than he is 12 is profusely sweating to some Dance Dance game that's more like Stomp The Yard. All the bells, whistles, sirens, and sounds of cha-ching have you grasping for quiet sanity? Drink 2. In the other room, there's a massive array of pool tables. Again, this is where the grown ups hang out. Drink 3. The lanes are good 'n' plenty, but I had trouble finding any balls from a communal rack. Did I miss it? At this point in my life, Wednesdays are a day of glad tidings and dread in equal measure. At least since my friends discovered "double-B." As soon as we entered, I felt transported back to the Midwest. The smell of bodies, vaguely obscured by industrial cleaning fluid. The sound of laughter, of sports-related smack-talk. Fat guys in small polo shirts. Scrubby girls in camouflage. If this sounds like your sort of party, boy are you in for a treat. Bird Bowl is a indeed a rara avis for Miami. But even if these things make you cringe, instead of excited--not all is lost. Wednesdays. Wednesdays are $1.50 games (not including shoes). And while it does get crowded, we never have a hard time snagging a lane (and we always go around 8pm). But wait--the magic isn't over. A guy at the (completely aesthetically displeasing) bar will sell you a blue 28 ounce mug (made in the USA, but, probably 100% BPA) for $8.00. And after that--AND FOREVERMORE--that same blue mug will get you $2 domestic refills ($3 or $3.50 for imports and craft beers). So, prepare yourself. Thursdays just got a lot shittier. My last memory included fluorescent lighting, dirty floors, and Westchester thug-wannabes from five years ago. They've since added in crazy disco lights, laser pointers and loud salsa music. While Bird Bowl is only superficially better, they've still got a long way to go. * The parking on a weekend night is impossible. I'm talking about spending a good 20 minutes parking. * The crowd has stayed somewhat the same - tons of Westchester preteens. *Expect to pay about $5 for a mixed drink or beer. Expect your drink to be very badly mixed. Expect to get terrible service from the one girl they have working at the bar. Take advantage of the fact that there are three areas where you can order a drink. * Wait time on a Saturday night to bowl: 1.5 hours. Add this to 20 minutes you've spent parking. You're not getting any younger here, folks. Sure, its inexpensive and overall not a horrible bowling alley. But if I can pay a premium to not have to endure the crowd, the wait, and the gross drinks, then I will. read more

The only affordable, old school bowling venue in Miami. There is something for everyone of all ages, so it's no surprise that they're always full, having birthday parties, and there can be a wait time for the lanes, as I discovered Sunday when I brought my daughter here to bowl on a playdate and we were told there was a one-hour wait. There were about four birthday parties going on, so it's understandable. Still, compared to the "hip and trendy" places that make you pay for the trendiness (ahem, Splitsville, etc.), this place gives you your bang for your buck. In addition to the bowling lanes, there is pool and the arcade games. My daughter and her playdate ended up playing on the arcades and kept entertained just fine. $20 bought them over an hour's worth of games. If a machine malfunctioned, we told one of the attendants and he'd give us back the credits on the game card, no questions asked. At the end of their playdate, they were each able to get a few prizes to take home. Although my daughter was intent on bowling, it was not meant to be on that day, but she still had enough fun to want to come back! This is a great activity for one of those rainy or super-hot Florida summers -- which probably explains why it was so full on that Sunday, since it was a rainy day. read more

This place has truly disappointed me, the service desk staff were some of the rudest individuals I've ever had the misfortune to come across; they gave us attitude when we asked a question, openly talked bad about us to each other while we are standing right in front of them, looking at us and laughing amongst themselves in our direction, i am so disappointed. If that's the first face and reaction i see when i come into an establishment, then this isn't the kind of place i'd want to come back to. Sometimes a great place, sometimes a horrible place. Its a bit of a hit or miss. Came here once on a Wednesday night and there was a wait of 'maybe an hour' according to the workers. I understand they can't do anything about the space or the amount of people that come in, but I ended up driving to another place instead of waiting around for over an hour for a lane. The few times that I do come here and a lane is open, it is fun and makes up for the atrocious wait times. Make sure to wash your hands after! Definitely not COVID friendly. There is no 6ft distancing. They fill up every lane so that the lane and party right next to you is not only on top of you and your party but also that party is touching all your bowling balls as well. If your looking for an outing where you can safely still enjoy while social distancing from strangers and not having them touch all your things, this is NOT it. read more

We came here for a day of family fun, and we had such a good time. Bird Bowl reminds me of a nicer version of Cloverleaf, a bowling alley that used to be in North Dade. Older bowling alleys are dying and places like Lucky Strike and Splitsville are popping up everywhere, but for a family of 4, bowling there is over $100 for a few games/hours. Bird Bowl came in around $40 for 2 games with shoe rentals for the 4 of us. You can't beat that. We also played a few games of pool for $10. There are tons of lanes here, and all of them were filled. We played pool for a while before they had a lane ready for us. They also have a decent sized arcade and a restaurant. One thing I saw that was really cool was a metal slope that allowed small children to bowl. When the little girl next to us wanted to bowl, they pushed this metal slope in front of the lane and she set the ball on top of it and then pushed the ball. The slope would give it enough speed to get down the lane. We heard they remodeled, and you can see that they work to keep the place up. With so many kids running around, I was shocked at how clean everything was. The staff was friendly, and even though they were so busy, no one seemed flustered. They were really nice, and it the happy vibe was contagious. Everyone in the place was having a great time. Even though Bird Bowl is far from me compared to other bowling alleys, it will probably be my first choice next time I go bowling...probably won't be too soon, though because I'm a horrible bowler! I called Kaila to get information for a group event. She was very friendly, polite and accommodating and made planning the event very easy. We arrived on Sunday at noon and it was empty. The check-in was fast and the shoes are pretty descent. Everything was really clean; the floor, balls, tables, chairs, etc. They even asked if we wanted a table set-up for the group. There are staff walking around to help get set-up. You can switch the bumpers during the game and they have a bowling ramp. We ordered pizza, mozzarella sticks and fries which were all pretty good and fairly cheap. The food literally takes a few minutes to prepare. They will even provide pitchers of water instead of paying for bottled water. The arcade has a lot of fun and varied games. The have 2 air hockey tables, 2 dance stations and 2 roller coaster simulators. I thought it was reasonable priced as well, 30 credits for $5. A great time when we were but it did get packed by the time we left late in the afternoon. I'd definitely do it again! read more

If i could give 0 stars, I would. The general manager is extremely unprofessional. We came to Bird Bowl for my birthday with my family. We were put in lanes that did not work and waited half an hour for them to service us and finally change our lanes and gave us free game passes. They changed our lanes and the new ones also malfunctioned. An hour and a half passed and we were not even able to play half a game. We spoke to the general manager for a refund and he refused, he was very rude and had zero regard for the situation. After persisting he finally returned the money and told us we had to return the passes. ZERO customer service. Came to have a good time with my family and was extremely disappointed. Will never return and DO NOT recommend this bowling alley. read more

Where do I start? Unless you have kids (and want to take them bowling) don't come here on a Friday! The place was beyond packed. Kids and mayhem was all afoot! Could hardly walk through. It took 90 minutes to get an open lane. We just kept staring at buzzer they give you, waiting for it to light up. At least the bar kept us company. Our lane was nestled between two other lanes packed with people. The one to our left had 8 bowlers and at least another 8 people in their party. They had their stuff strewn about our chairs and tables. They constantly walked through our lane, and when we did herd them aside it was only momentarily. We bowled quickly, and this time kept looking at the clock waiting for our time to be up to get out of there. This establishment very much needs to invest in more personnel to keep things more orderly. More attention to what people are doing would go a long way. 50 dollars for 4 people for an hour with shoe rental was not a bargain. Next time we will definitely try Splitsville. read more

Yes, this place gets packed. Yes, there are a lot of young kids, teenagers, families and serious bowling teams. Yes, the place is old and loud and far out west. But this is the best bowling in Miami and the only place where you don't have to worry about anyone in your party being of age to bowl after a certain hour. They always have some kind of promotion going on every night. They lanes are not short and you don't have a maximum number of games that you can play. Unlike, STRIKE this place is casual, entertaining and reliably fun. There are plenty of food options and decently priced booze. Make it happen people! Break a leg! XXX read more
