Exceeded my expectation!!! Joseph was phenomenal in recommending spice level and popular sides. Friendly staff, very clean and great food. Shake mac and cheese, shake cheese fries, hot honey sandwich, classic and sando were our favorites. We will be back!! Forget chick fil this is the new spot!

The chicken is good - just a little bit pricey! Note that the chicken can get pretty spicy (even though we got the lowest level of heat!

Amazing service! It was our first time and Jansen, the General Manager, walked us through the food. It didn't disappoint. I had the salad and my husband the Sando, medium spice. Good crisp, very juicy and pretty nice heat. Pretty good spot, worth the stop. Glad we stopped here to eat dinner tonight.

Three of us descended upon here on a hungry Friday. The local HS football team also made an appearance before we did, so it was a gaggle of teenagers scarfing sandos amongst families this evening. We ordered tenders with fries, Sando combo, and kids meal. Seating was interesting - steel top tables were built into a center dividing wall, with similar tables along a back wall as well. Graffiti really drew your eyes up into the tall ceilings. Really funny as the building used to be an HSBC bank branch. It's fast casual so you can roll up to order and wait for your food at a table - they call out your name and bring your food to you. We had to wait 20 mins but not too bad; not the restaurant's fault that they had to feed an army (of teenagers). I'm a fan of spicy, so my mild chicken sandwich was tasty and flavorful. Loved how the chicken was battered and crispy on the outside without being dry and tasteless in the middle. I got a legit sized chicken breast in my sandwich. Slaw and pickles balanced it out nicely. Hubby and seven year old got the "country" style with no spice and enjoyed their chicken as well. Kiddo scarfed the nuggets before I could take a photo so I think it's a good vote. I would've appreciated having napkins and utensils available for grabs at a communal counter or something - we had to go up and ask for more of both as the chicken was a bit messy to eat. Cheese sauce was decent and comeback sauce is spicy/tangy/sweet. The comeback is... Sriracha? Sweet chili sauce? Something like that with a creamy texture. Will be back to try the Mac n cheese and more chicken. Hopefully without the bottomless teen army next time.

mild chicken sandwich, fries, medium spice tenders, oreo milkshake

UPDATE (6/4/2025):…read more This is an update to my review for this Chik-Fil-A, a review I had done less than a month before I first became an Elite on Yelp and was my 38th review overall. I make this review because there are a few opinions I have had that changed this visit albeit my number of stars given to the place does remain at a 4. Here's the thing. At first I did not like how the place was renovated. I didn't like how I couldn't just come here when I could the Christmas season before last because it was closed down for the changes. But once I came in here tonight, I've found that they have grown on me so to speak. I had found myself at how impressed I was at the organization of the place as a whole. UberEats has a separate they can enter through to pickup deliveries which is something I have not seen in a fast food restaurant before. Also, this is a clean Chik-Fil-A that actually cleans up after itself. This proves that you CAN be a big franchise and keep a well-functioning restaurant without trashing it to oblivion. Chipotle can seriously take some notes here. Where my opinion has lessened a bit is the waffle fries. You can still taste salt on these, but they're unfortunately not as flavorful as I remember. You know how there's a saying "if it ain't broke don't fix it"? Well, that should have applied to the waffle fries here cause they weren't broke before. But they're still good enough that I can't be too mad at it. Everything else I said in my previous review still stands. And the people working here are friendly, especially for fast food service workers. And yes, I still love coming here after REI trips for a nice treat for dinner. Oh, and don't skip the Dragonfruit Lemonade this summer! It's quite refreshing!

Look for the Marina's bar and restaurant We searched it out for a Friday lunch, found the door open and no lights on inside. No heat either Chef / Host Lewis gave us a verbal menu of what he could prepare and had on hand. He never did turn on the lights or the heat. My wife had the Vegan plate w a nice curry, plantains, brown rice medley and steamed mixed veg. I had the Oxtail stew and the same sides, but Mac & cheese instead of plantains Both dishes were great, huge portions and about $22 each. The curry was not too spicy nor my stew too hot. Overall, food good, atmosphere not. Lewis needs more signage and must find a decorator. Meantime, stick w DoorDash or takeout

Was actually gonna leave because there was no sign outside the door but we ran into 2 other people looking for the same place so we were thinkin it must be good. We directed them down the hill and decided to park... Then we walked down the driveway/hill and saw the other ppl walking back up. We tried to enter but the door was locked so we walked to the back of that building and there was an open door. We started to walk in and with a nasty attitude the guy said "You cant come in that way" you have to use the other door. There was no one in there and the other door was locked. He went to open the front door but as we walked back around we just kept walking back up the hill to the car. Did it really matter which door we entered? He clearly didnt want our business and He wasn't really trying to make any $$$. He lost out on $money for 2 different couples just trying to eat out on a Monday night SMH

Damn what a night this has been!…read more So a friend and I decided to come eat here after going to a funeral visitation for a co-worker. It was the first time in 18 years I had been to anything funeral-related, but harkening back to my childhood, we'd have food after funeral services to celebrate the life of the lost loved one, so it was a piece of me I wanted to share with my friend. Another thing that contributed to my wanting to come here is that this is a place I've been wanting to come to ever since this restaurant opened, and it went doubly so when it was named the Best Restaurant in Connecticut for 2024. The fact I finally got to go in of itself was a blessing, and I have to say that I am glad we came here. We were seated immediately upon arrival, and service was quick from start to finish. Our waiter was excellent. He was great making recommendations in effort to get us to save some money, took any questions we had with a smile, and made ordering an easy-peasy affair. Ambiance was very casual, great for any occasion really. If I ever had a date and this was where they took me, I'd be wanting a second date already. They're great for family get-togethers too. Oh, and the bathroom walls made me laugh with their witty one-liners like "Don't be a Gherk" or "Just Dill With It". So based on the recommendations we were given, we shared both of the appetizers we'd ordered: the fried pickles and the biscuits and fix-in's. The fried pickles that this place is known for were really good, very comparable to what you might get from a true Southern state. It comes with a spicy mayo, and paired together, it's divine! The biscuits & fix-ins are two large biscuits accompanied by four types of butter: salted, maple, vanilla, and the strawberry. They were all good, but we both agreed that the vanilla one was out-of-this-world, and the maple one had an authentic Vermonter taste to it. The strawberry one tastes like a strawberry cream cheese which is a good thing here, and even the salted butter was good. We each also got an entree, and I was the only one who ordered a drink. My friend had the Classic Mac & Cheese, and I had the Southwest Meat Platter as well as a Dirty Aphrodite. I love me some good ribs when I eat Southern food, and having the meats all in one, I couldn't say no to that. If I'm being honest, I came close to picking the Kentucky Porch Sipper for my drink, but the call of the Dirty Aphrodite was too big to ignore. And boy oh boy do they make the combination of pickle brine and vodka work with this drink! I don't think I've ever had vodka quite like that before, but Jacob's Pickles does it so well here! The entrees were also great. I saw the cheese pulls as my friend ate and I could tell I probably would have enjoyed that version of the classic dish. As for my dish, the ribs were tender and fell clean off the bone, tasted like a true BBQ wonder. The pulled pork was succulent, ratioed perfectly so nothing overpowers in the dish. The sausage tasted superb. The Nashville Hot Chicken was crispy, juicy, spicy without being overwhelming. The Pickle Slaw was some good Slaw. Is it the best I've ever had? No. But it's competent and definitely deserves to be called a slaw. Jalapeños and corn were great, and I even got another buttermilk biscuit to use the remaining butter we didn't use on our appetizers. All-in-all, one of the best outings I've had in a while. I mean it when I say this: Jacob's Pickles is a MUST-GO! It's that good! You won't regret it.
