Another thing helping its case was that it wasn't too far a walk for me from the Bridgeport Station, so it was a relatively straightforward travel to get here. Tonight was finally my night to go. I will start by saying Saira knows exactly what she is talking about with this place. The owners and employees are friendly people, they do give you fast service, and they do an excellent job packing your food. You can eat inside if you've got the time, but I had to get takeout on this one. I still had to walk 20 minutes back to the station, so eating in wasn't much of an option in my case. As you might have noticed however, I did have to take off a star. Why? Well, to put it this way, if you have problems with your vision, bring a friend with you who can read the menu! The lighting made the overhead menus difficult to see, so I did have to get the man behind the counter to grab me a handheld copy of the menu. This was much easier on the eyes. Now, usually, I do also normally take off a star if the place is a cash only place because cash only makes a return visit more of a longer shot, but luckily I had already known about this before coming after reading some other reviews, and there is an ATM in the Baghdad Mart next door, so it wasn't a huge deal this time around. Now for the food, they do heat food in the microwave as I watched with the biryani that came in my order, but this was likewise not a big deal. Why? Because when I got back to the station to try the food, it was indeed tasty! For my order, I did a Beef Nehari and Garlic Naan, and it came with a salad that had a spicy salad dressing to it. It was a large bag of food too! Wanna know how much it was? $25! That ain't bad, and the food is worth the price! That naan was melt-in-my-mouth delicious. Even though the rice was microwaved, it was cooked just right. The Beef Nehari was spicy for sure, but the meat itself was tender and flavorful. The spice did not overpower the flavor here, and that can be a make-or-break deal depending on your relationship with spice. If they only started accepting card payments here, I'd gladly come again whenever I have time between trains. But yeah, even though the food and service is worth the full 5, the one thing I can't overlook is the difficulty reading the menu.

The original cart off Little Neck Parkway was always a go to, and we would be back and forth between Hamza and Mecca (the cart next to it) for best in town. I always felt that Mecca had the highest ceiling (when it was on, it was ON best ever). Hamza was always a steady second, but in recent years Mecca has fallen off a bit yet Hamza has remained steady. It's good to say they have additional locations too now throughout the island making them a better option then Shahs which many default to. Between the portions, the mix, the sauces, and the quality, this is the closest you can get to the top NYC street meat halal on Long Island. Consistency is key, and Hamza and Marina have maintained their high quality even through expansion. As always... extra white!

While the restaurant is located in a strip mall, you'd never know it. The ceiling is covered in cloth coverings that you know are authentic. Chuchvara, Lagman, Shurpa, Achik-Chuchuk, Various Kebabs, Beef Tongue, and most importantly Cheburek. The only dish that can go wrong like a puffer fish. Underdo it and it's inedible, overdo it the same, wrong oil or too much oil and your customers will run screaming for the hills. This was actually done so well we went for seconds, light and crispy on the outside and nice and juicy inside. I'm drooling just writing about it.... A great place to visit, service on the slow night could've been a little better but I can't really complain.
