I really loved the atmosphere! I loved out waitress Jessica P. She was amazing. I loved the seasoning of the chicken and thought the consistency of the corn bread with the sweet butter was delicious! Also the collards & coleslaw were tasty. Wasn't a fan of the Mac and cheese, I would not consider it southern. It reminded me of velveta ( not your southern baked Mac and cheese ) also not a fan of the brunch potatos. Margarita was on point! Look forward on coming back for dinner

First time at Greer and they got a vast menu that ranges from healthy bowls to classic Southern comfort food. Fried green tomatoes is a must get. I love their ranch sauce and the difference in textures of the fried coating and fresh green tomatoes that's slightly cooked from getting fried. I got their Icelandic Cod - which was cooked PERFECTLY. It tasted light and fresh with the coconut milk and saffron sauce, the fish itself was perfectly flaky.. I was very impressed as the last several times I had cod at other establishments they tend to be overcooked. Fried chicken was very addicting. Outside was so crunchy, meat was so juicy. Gimme 10 of 'em.

Staff was great, very well trained. Food was delicious and we can't wait to return to try more dishes. Beautiful interior and comfortable seating. They even have a private room for ten. So glad to have found a new favorite spot...next time we are going to try the short ribs!

I've been eyeing this spot since they opened and I finally got to try it. I was very impressed by everything! First the indoor decor was such nice ambiance and beautifully decorated. There were plenty of options on the menu. We went with briskly egg roll for app and buttermilk fried chicken entree with mac n cheese and a chicken and waffle entree. Just delicious!! I really enjoyed my meal here and would come back.

This was my second time to Greer Southern Table this month. Each time I've been, the waitstaff, hosts, and managers on duty have been extremely attentive and kind. Last night we had a girls night and Greer did not disappoint! We started with the cauliflower bites, char-grilled, fried green tomatoes, and warm crawfish dip. The bites and tomatoes were fried to perfection; crunchy goodness! For the dip, they were not shy with the crawfish; every scoop had an ample portion of well-seasoned meat. & as for the oysters, I was so happy to find a place outside of New Orleans that made these!! The best part about them was that they were HUGE!! I'm talking each one bigger than my hand! Just amazing. For my entree I decided to go with one of the specials. I had the cajun crawfish and andouille sausage pasta. My only critique was that it lacked seasoning. It felt like they relied on the saltiness of the sausage and parmesan cheese, but I found myself adding a lot of salt and pepper at the table. Regardless, I ate the whole thing so clearly it was not that big of an issue! & while we skipped over dessert, because we were rightfully stuffed, I made sure to order the thing I had been waiting for and thinking about ALL DAY; their lavender cappuccino. I had this the first time I came and fell in love! The lavender gives the perfect sweetness and aroma to the cap, and is a perfect way to end the meal. Greer Southern Table, I will be back!! Oh and thanks to our server Brian!! He handled 7 annoying ladies just perfectly!

This is my first time trying out Greer Southern Table, and it will definitely not be the last time. The decor and atmosphere of the place is very unique and charming. Service is great, our host Gabe was so sweet and accommodating. There's a great selection of drinks. But the star of the show is the food! We had fried oysters as starters, and they were out of this world. I had one of the specials, crawfish and andouille sausage pasta, and I think I licked the plate clean. Highly recommend, and can't wait to go back.

About as perfect as it gets. I stopped by here for an earlyish dinner (5pm) this past Saturday with my mother, a CT native who lives in northern Fairfield County. This was my first time, I think, in this downtown area of Norwalk, which is...an odd area. It looks like they haphazardly gentrified it five minutes ago, and no one knows it yet. I did enjoy the super wide streets and easy parking. Like a true adulting professional, I checked Greer's website beforehand and followed their recommendation to download the ParkMobile app, which is easy enough to use that you can probably just download it when you park somewhere - maybe I saved 15 seconds. But regardless, drama-free. My mother parked in the parking garage next door and reported no issues. Very pleasant atmosphere inside; airy with a lot of good lighting. I showed up first and was warmly greeted by multiple members of the staff (which I think was a coincidence; one or two extra just happened to be in the area at the time, but a nice touch nonetheless) and led to a table in the garden room by the window and POS system. Several of the cocktails looked intriguing, but I decided to go with the Rosemary Maple Bourbon Sour. Right choice. Having "sour" in the name can be a risk - I've had sours where that particular taste was just overpowering - but it was an excellent blend. The natural sweetness of the bourbon and the maple inclusion really balanced everything out. I had two of these bad boys, and quite willingly. I'd intently studied the menu ahead of time and intended to order the crawfish dip, but then saw a crawfish andouille pasta dish on the specials menu and obviously had to pivot last minute. Something tells me I wouldn't have gone wrong either way, but this was delicious. Super flavorful without being overwhelming, and a solid portion that still allowed for some room for dessert. It's a shame the crawfish are small, but that's just the burden of living in the Northeast - high taxes, small crawfish. And arguably, the small crawfish and lighter pasta allowed some room for a scrumptious dessert - I can never pass up maple bacon donuts. A delight, and very obviously made to order. I can't speak for everyone, but two of them was the perfect serving size for me but I imagine people who are less barbaric are satisfied with just one. The service was magnificent. Our waitress Sarah (sp?) was an absolute delight, stopping by regularly and providing a lot of welcome, personal input regarding various items on the menu. Just very warm and friendly, and that type of hospitality touch makes a difference. Loved her; a huge asset for the restaurant. I'm rarely in this area but it's nice to know there's an excellent option just off 95 that I can go to in lieu of one of the myriad of rest stops. Huge recommend.

This was a fun brunch! A waiter told me there's no charge for parking on Sundays, but perhaps do a bit of research yourself. I got one of the 7 or 8 spots in the Greer lot for a Sunday brunch. There's street parking and a garage nearby. Parking is quite a business operation in Norwalk. My wife and I tried Greer brunch to pass some time and it was delightful. Fresh atmosphere, good service and good food. The mimosas for $23 were great. While they aren't bottomless, they allow you to have 5 total pours. 1 + 4 refills... And they make them nice and strong. It's a good champagne to orange juice ratio. We stopped without needing the last refill. The crawfish dip was tasty, liked by both of us and we finished the whole platter. It comes with house chips that are swamp dusted. Overall, warm, yummy and addicting. The shrimp and grits was a little bland, but ok and maybe my wife didn't care for it much because we just scarfed another creamy dish. The bacon that comes with it was delicious!! My thigh high chicken sandwich was yummy! Crisp, juicy, flavorful and just a nice filling choice. The service here was great, very attentive and even after paying, the maitre'd offered us more Mimosa without even knowing how much we already had. We declined as we had over an hour drive home. If in the area, I'd certainly return. It was just a nice, cozy, enjoyable brunch.

This place is so cute. This is my second time here. The inside is so adorable and homey. Great vibe for southern food. The service is friendly and professional. They are great with giving advice on what to order too. The food... delish!!! The Shrimp & Grits were amazing. So much flavor it was out of this world. The chicken wings are also so crispy and flavorful. Brussel sprouts are also a must!

Dessert menu, we got the home made maple bacon doughnuts...I would so you a pic but we gobbled! Delish!!!!

Ok, this place is crazy good. Service was fantastic (big thanks to Chris and Alex)! The food was so good. My son and my husband were both so happy! I love this spot and have no idea how I missed it! It's a must! The fried chicken is fantastic! The cocktails (both non alcoholic and alcoholic were fantastic). The key lime martini was a dessert in a cup! A++++ I will def be back and the banquet rooms are gorg. I look forward to having an event here!

I stayed in the Norwalk and Stamford area for almost two weeks for work, went out to dinner every night, and this was the best place we tried. It is a bustling, loud, giant dining room and bar area. The food ranges from very good to fantastic. The service is on point, and the wait staff is well trained. If a server does not know the answer to a question, they say so and step out to run the question by the chef or manager and give the answer promptly. There were a couple issues with food temperature on a fish or two, and truthfully their self-stated signature dish - the fried chicken was bland, one guest in our party asked for two types of bourbon that both had about an ounce left in the bottle, but on the third try they had Knob Creek... but overall this is a very very good restaurant with an impressive cocktail menu made by skilled bartenders, an inventive southern inspired menu, and courteous and attentive servers. What more could you ask for?? There is a very small parking lot on the side, and then a giant parking garage just a bit further. Make the stop here.

What an excellent place to grab a bite to eat. We stopped in for brunch and had a great experience. For starters we had the brisket egg rolls which were absolutely delicious. A very nice sized portion. For our entrees I had the brisket French dip and my son had the chicken and walked. Both of our meals were absolutely delicious. Great flavor and the playoff was very good. The service was excellent, they did a great job of taking care of our needs and not being overwhelming.

Absolutely loved my experience at Greer Southern Table. I came here for my birthday and enjoyed everything. Firstly, the space is beautiful and service is spot on. For food, we ordered the beef short ribs and the fried chicken. Both 10/10! The fried chicken was definitely the star of the show. Highly recommend getting their house made habanero peach sauce to add on the chicken -- game changer! We also loved the friend green tomatoes and cauliflower bites. Looking forward to returning to try more of their menu items!

It was the first time in 18 years I had been to anything funeral-related, but harkening back to my childhood, we'd have food after funeral services to celebrate the life of the lost loved one, so it was a piece of me I wanted to share with my friend. Another thing that contributed to my wanting to come here is that this is a place I've been wanting to come to ever since this restaurant opened, and it went doubly so when it was named the Best Restaurant in Connecticut for 2024. The fact I finally got to go in of itself was a blessing, and I have to say that I am glad we came here. We were seated immediately upon arrival, and service was quick from start to finish. Our waiter was excellent. He was great making recommendations in effort to get us to save some money, took any questions we had with a smile, and made ordering an easy-peasy affair. Ambiance was very casual, great for any occasion really. If I ever had a date and this was where they took me, I'd be wanting a second date already. They're great for family get-togethers too. Oh, and the bathroom walls made me laugh with their witty one-liners like "Don't be a Gherk" or "Just Dill With It". So based on the recommendations we were given, we shared both of the appetizers we'd ordered: the fried pickles and the biscuits and fix-in's. The fried pickles that this place is known for were really good, very comparable to what you might get from a true Southern state. It comes with a spicy mayo, and paired together, it's divine! The biscuits & fix-ins are two large biscuits accompanied by four types of butter: salted, maple, vanilla, and the strawberry. They were all good, but we both agreed that the vanilla one was out-of-this-world, and the maple one had an authentic Vermonter taste to it. The strawberry one tastes like a strawberry cream cheese which is a good thing here, and even the salted butter was good. We each also got an entree, and I was the only one who ordered a drink. My friend had the Classic Mac & Cheese, and I had the Southwest Meat Platter as well as a Dirty Aphrodite. I love me some good ribs when I eat Southern food, and having the meats all in one, I couldn't say no to that. If I'm being honest, I came close to picking the Kentucky Porch Sipper for my drink, but the call of the Dirty Aphrodite was too big to ignore. And boy oh boy do they make the combination of pickle brine and vodka work with this drink! I don't think I've ever had vodka quite like that before, but Jacob's Pickles does it so well here! The entrees were also great. I saw the cheese pulls as my friend ate and I could tell I probably would have enjoyed that version of the classic dish. As for my dish, the ribs were tender and fell clean off the bone, tasted like a true BBQ wonder. The pulled pork was succulent, ratioed perfectly so nothing overpowers in the dish. The sausage tasted superb. The Nashville Hot Chicken was crispy, juicy, spicy without being overwhelming. The Pickle Slaw was some good Slaw. Is it the best I've ever had? No. But it's competent and definitely deserves to be called a slaw. Jalapeños and corn were great, and I even got another buttermilk biscuit to use the remaining butter we didn't use on our appetizers. All-in-all, one of the best outings I've had in a while. I mean it when I say this: Jacob's Pickles is a MUST-GO! It's that good! You won't regret it.

Normally this is fine. But it was terribly presented lonely on a metal plate. I've had smash burgers before that had way better presentation (see Bar 140 in Shelton, who does this job on point). 2) Drinks. Terrible IPA selection, but at least they put Maine Lunch in a normal pint glass. The biggest issue is my wife ordered a couple Old Fashioned. The first was a "normal" sized glass (see pic) from my experience. She ordered a second drink that came out in a "mini" glass. It was ridiculous. It was the size between a shot glass and a normal Old Fashioned glass. I asked about this, see below. 3) When I asked about the smaller glass size on the second drink, the manager came over and said "the small glass is the normal size, you should be lucky they gave you that larger glass by accident" ummmmmmm hellll noooooooooo. I should feel lucky?????? No sir. The first glass was a NORMAL Old Fashioned sized glass. No way in helllll that second glass was "normal" size. She gets these drinks all the time and they all come in size of the first glass. So don't bullshit me..... The way the manager guy approached this is why i am giving a poor review. There is absolutely no way the second glass was normal size. I just can't accept that. It was a ridiculously small glass. Being put down like I don't know anything is not the way you treat people. The chicken was solid- same as the Sandos, it could use a bit more seasoning but overall decent chicken. My biggest gripe was the wait and the fries. It took quite a while for my order to be ready and the restaurant wasn't that crowded. Maybe 4 people in the store and possibly a car in drive-thru lane. Yet, when we received the fries they were cold. I went back in and the team was nice enough to provide newer fries and they were warmer, but not much better. My last issue was the sheer amount of fries provided. There are so few given to the customers. When you look at the pictures on the site they show a healthy amount of fries, but what was provided in the order didn't even scratch that surface. I didn't take pics of the fries-too underwhelmed, but... Please do better.

It's a little noisy with no carpet or drapes to muffle the sound, but well worth the visit.

I came here for lunch and dinner and every visit was consistently excellent. The food, service, and…read moreatmosphere all made this place an easy favorite. My first meal was the Caesar salad, which was outstanding. The poached egg was cooked perfectly with that soft, medium‑boiled center I love. The Parmesan was fresh, the dressing was balanced, and the grilled chicken was a generous, well‑seasoned portion. Simple, clean, and delicious. The ambience is a huge part of the charm -- a cozy, wood‑cabin feel with a great bar setup. You can get full service at the bar, enjoy top‑shelf drinks, and watch the TVs without it feeling like a sports bar. It's a comfortable mix of locals and travelers, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Benny behind the bar was great, and he made the experience even better with fun conversation and excellent service. For dinner, I tried the pasta with sausage, which was flavorful without being overly salty. You can tell they use quality ingredients. The mussels were a standout -- the broth was clean and delicious, with a white‑wine base, a touch of tomato, fresh herbs, and just the right kick from jalapeño. One of the best mussel dishes I've had in a while. The wine selection was also very good and paired nicely with the dishes I tried. After several meals back‑to‑back, I can confidently say this place delivers every time. Great food, great service, great vibe. I'll definitely keep coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a consistently excellent dining experience

So I've actually debated whether or not to include this UberEats delivery review. The first time I…read moretried to go through with it, I just couldn't really figure out what to write. I only ordered it on UberEats this past Friday night, so it's not like I actually went there. However, the more I ate and thought about it, the more I realized something. This is the 4th year in 6 I've done a pre-birthday send-off UberEats order, and this is my 3rd year in a row doing so. In 2021, I had Edo on the last week before I turned 30. 2024, it was Boatyard at Smokey Joe's in Stamford, ordered on April 18. Last year, I did the Norwalk location of Elm Street Diner on April 24. If we want to take that into consideration, then that would be reason enough to sum my thoughts up together and get something down. So to send off age 34, say hello to Walrus Alley! If I'm being honest, I always wanted to have a barbecue right before my birthday of this year of all years. It only felt appropriate for 2026. Originally, I was going to have Wire Mill Saloon from Redding delivered using Yelp, but one of the items I'd ordered was out of stock, so that got canceled and I turned my sights here and ordered what I would have gotten from Redding. This was a half-rack of ribs, an order of Mac & Cheese, side of cornbread (this one came with coleslaw and pickles), and an a la mode chocolate bourbon pecan pie. The pecan pie was the only change since if I had gotten the Redding order, I would have had a key lime pie a la mode. I also put in some Alabama sauce because it does ribs a new flavor to play along with. I had everything over the next three days, hence why I am writing this review now. I will start by saying the ice cream did not make it without melting, but that's okay. I wasn't expecting it to since my driver did have to make a bunch of stops along the way, making my order take over an hour to deliver. No fault on the driver or restaurant there, and I ended up drinking the ice cream anyway, and it was still refreshing, so c'est la vie. The pecan pie it came with was actually really good. I found that it's better if you let that chill off a bit. Don't use plastic silverware for this one for the pie will break them, but delicious and sweet all the same. I'd love to have this in an in-person visit. In contrast, the cornbread should be warm when you eat that. It's buttered and soft, but it might be too dry if you try to eat it cold. The pickles are more of the spicy kind. I prefer sweet pickles, but I don't mind them being spicy either. The coleslaw I will say suffers the same fate that befell the one from Boatyard: it doesn't taste like true coleslaw. They should take a bit of inspiration from the Smokies (think Eastern Tennessee or Western NC) to learn how it should be done. It's lacking that mayonnaise component that truly makes it coleslaw. If they added that, then we might be talking! I decided to leave the ribs and Mac & cheese for last in the review because they do provide reheating instructions for those who order take-out such as myself. The Mac & cheese was actually eaten very late on the first night. The instructions given for Mac & cheese were spot-on, baking at 375 for 10 minutes before I dug in. It was some damn good Mac & cheese. Cheesy, love the breadcrumbs, and very satisfying overall. The ribs were the last to be finished. I will say I did also follow the instructions for the ribs as they were written; however, unlike the Mac & cheese, the ribs were still cold in the middle after 20 minutes in 375. You need the microwave to finish the job here. The ribs themselves were good. They weren't the best ribs I've ever eaten, but they were tender, the BBQ sauce was tasty, and the meat fell right off the bone. I will say that for this meal it needs a healthy amount of Alabama sauce all on it to really elevate it, but other than my experience reheating them this was my only criticism. Overall, a worthy BBQ meal. I'd still pick Hindsight BBQ over this if faced with deciding which CT BBQ to go with, but this will get the job done and then some if you need good BBQ. I'd love to come in-person one night and experience this place firsthand.

Delicious food! Cozy restaurant with good food options and nice cocktails…read more If you enjoy mezcal, get their murder on the rocks dish - strong and good! For dinner i had their smash burger with fries. Burger was good and filling but ive had better elsewhere. My brother had their chicken sandwich and it was huuuge!! And he said super good. For dessert, we had their apple crumble dessert. This dessert is big enough for 2-3 to share. Warm apple pie crumble with vanilla ice cream on top. Mmhm!
