Delicious and tasty chicken. Love this spot. Outdoor and indoor seating. Plenty of options. And many types of drinks. The chicken and or chicken sandos were all full of flavor. Aides are also fabulous. Great vibe with fast service.

While I wouldn't say BirdHouse is quite as amazing/special as all the reviews suggest, it is certainly very good and popular for good reason. The menu is a bit limited (just varieties of chicken basically), and I went with the Chicken Sandwich. It was pretty standard with fried chicken, pickles, and sauce and I will say, the chicken was really nicely crispy and very juicy/tender. Also, it was only $10 - very hard to find those kinds of prices around these days. The restaurant has a small parking lot, but a decent amount of seating. There is a nice outdoor seating area, where we were sat. The staff are super friendly and attentive. The service speed is also decent. With these good prices and tasty chicken, it's tough to ask for much more from a place like this. Great choice for a chill/casual meal in Page.

This is a must try spot in Page!! The chicken is so good, and their prices are incredibly reasonable (great value!). Very cute outdoor covered patio, with inside seating as well. Service was fast and friendly (the best kind). Of the items on their menu, you cannot go wrong. I highly recommend the chicken sandwich (I had the honey butter). After ordering, I heard the sandwich with honey butter and extra spicy is a huge hit. Safe to say that's what I'll be trying next time!

Easily the best meal I've had in Arizona. After a long day in the sun exploring the canyon and Horseshoe Bend, my boyfriend and I were extremely hungry, so we were excited to find a chicken spot nearby. Not just any chicken place, but one that had been highly praised by reviewers online, so we had to try it. The chicken was crispy and juicy, the fries were well seasoned, though a little on the harder side, and the mac and cheese was one of the best I've ever had, super creamy and delicious. I really enjoyed this meal. The price was reasonable for the portion size, and this is definitely a place I would recommend to anyone visiting.

Loved eating at this local spot! The staff were super friendly and the outdoor seating had a lot of room for big groups. Ordered the thigh and leg plate which came with a side. The chicken was juicy and tender. The plate even came with an extra piece! I preferred the honey butter over the spicy but both complimented the crispy chicken well. The Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were hits at the table! Gave the donut holes a chance and they were more cakey than donut in texture but still satisfied our dessert craving. Highly recommend checking them out.

The food at Birdhouse was excellent. The fries were incredible, perfectly crispy and well seasoned. The house-made sauce really stood out and added a lot of flavor to the meal. The chicken was tender and juicy on the inside with a crispy exterior, making the skin especially satisfying. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Lots of seating, good ambiance. Overall, everything was well executed, flavorful, and enjoyable. Definitely a spot worth checking out.

Heard great things about the "famous" fried chicken and cold beer. After a long day of adventuring on the lake and in the canyons, this did not disappoint. I had the half bird and did part spicy and part honey butter I had the broccoli salad as my side. The chicken was juicy with a great crunch / crisp. I also liked the ranch / honey mustard sauces. They have a select number of beers to choose from. You order from the counter and then they will bring it out to you. Fast casual type of service so you have get up and get what you need. Seating outside is really nice. Definitely recommend as a good meal to refuel.

I really enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich from Birdhouse! But what especially stood out was the honey butter flavor that I got for the chicken. I felt like the sauce was the standout. I also like the portion as well! I had it with the fries as well, but didn't feel like the fries stood out.

Stumbled upon Birdhouse while passing through town, and I'm so glad we did. The chicken at this rustic, walk-up-and-order spot was fantastic. We tried both the original and spicy chicken tenders, and both were excellent. Also, don't skip the crispy seasoned french fries -- a must. Can't wait to stop by again.

Very moist fried chicken, and you can see that most clearly in the chicken breast piece. Chicken stays crispy for quite a long time. Though I still think New Orleans fried chicken is better. They have 3 flavors: chili, original, and honey butter, but original and honey butter taste the same imo. Their house sauce is good, has a hint of honey mustard. Fries is okay but mac n cheese is not good. Their individual piece portion actually has 2 pieces, at least for thigh and tender.

This place wasn't bad. Was open late. The chicken was nice and crunchy! I got 2 of their house made ranch, and they were good!! The fries were a bit sad, the chicken comes out crunchy but the fries were not crunchy at all. The donut holes were awesome! The warm jelly is the best dip IMO. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in town!

Like many folks, I was in Page, Arizona to visit Lower Antelope Canyon and the tour group I joined had selected BirdHouse as our lunch stop. I did look them up before getting here and am a fan of chicken sandos. Since I was there in December, our tour guide phoned in our orders ahead of time so he can grab the food for us to eat in the van as he continued to drive in order to maximize daylight as we still needed to hit Horseshoe Bend after Antelope Canyon. But, still got the try both the honey butter and spicy chicken sandos. Wish we had fries too but the sandos are a good size and I'd say that the honey butter was better tasting than the spicy sando.

If you find yourself in Page and craving some seriously good fried chicken, Birdhouse is the spot. The chicken here is awesome-- juicy, crispy, and packed with flavor. You can tell they take pride in their seasoning; the rub had just the right blend of spice and depth without overpowering the meat. And that crisp! The skin had that ideal crunch that stayed light. I also really enjoyed the broccoli salad -- fresh, lightly dressed, and a great balance to the richness of the chicken. On top of that, the food came out quick, hot, and fresh, even during a busy period. Overall, Birdhouse hits all the marks: quick service, incredible flavor, and some of the crispiest fried chicken you'll find in northern Arizona. Easily a must-stop when passing through Page.

    Look for this chicken.

We decided on Gone West Family Restaurant based on their solid reviews and we thought that American food (especially with a Western theme) would be the way to go. When in Rome! We stopped by on a Saturday evening for dinner. Parking is easy in the complimentary lot they share with several other businesses including a Chinese restaurant right next door. Ambiance (4.5/5): Pretty much what I was hoping for. Gone West is a spacious restaurant with one large dining room and another large dining room. The difference? The one in the back has a stage where they play live music. So, if you want a quieter atmosphere, choose the first room. If you want to enjoy some live music while you dine and drink, choose the back room. We sat in the back room. A band played various covers while we were there which we enjoyed. The decor is also awesome with a lot of Western and country decor including John Wayne, Johnny Cash, and more. Service (4/5): The hostess was super nice and accommodating which was a nice way to kick off the experience. Our waiter was pretty solid. He could have stopped by a little more frequently, but overall, did quite well. Drinks (4/5): I went with an Arnold Palmer (they only had pink lemonade unfortunately) so not a lot to right home about. With that being said, they have a decent beer list and several cocktails. Food (5/5): I went with the Chicken fried steak sandwich with spiral fries. CFS on a sandwich?! I couldn't say no. Country fried steak is one of my favorite Southern dishes, but I've never had it on a sandwich before. Check out their concept: breaded steak on a bed of mashed potatoes topped with green onions, gravy, and a fried egg with your choice of side. This was a great sammie! It was quite messy, but given how delicious it was, I didn't mind. The fries were delicious too, and it was a generous portion. The type of portion where you can easily have leftovers. Everything I was hoping for and more in this dining experience. While the food options in Page aren't vast (and as impressive as larger cities), Gone West should be at the top of your list!

As for service, our server was very to-the-point, not quite friendly but not rude. It was okay for me because I was ready to be done for the day, but most of our party didn't feel welcomed by our server's attitude and we're all generally easy going. We paid our bill with cash, when our server came back with the receipt he dropped it with us and left with the change. I try to make a point of tipping generously, at least 20% but I'm not really okay with someone helping themselves to a 40% tip. He came back after a few minutes of us sitting there (wondering if he forget or really took off with our change) and gave us our change- we still left 20% for him because maybe it was just a forgetful moment... Basically, it's a really simple mix of flour, sugar, salt…read moreand lard that's deep-fried and topped with all manner of sweet and/or savory ingredients. Created around 1864 by the Navajo people using the meager ingredients given to them by the US Government at the time. The bread quickly spread to other tribes throughout the country, and is usually just referred to as "fry bread," but in AZ it's always preceded by the prefix "Navajo." My first encounter with it was in a church parking lot at San Xavier del Bac (aka The White Dove of the Desert), where Native Americans had food stands selling fresh fry bread topped with honey and cinnamon-sugar, as well as savoury toppings like ground beef, lettuce and tomatoes in what's popularly referred to as a Navajo Taco. Fast forward to our recent trip to Page, and we stopped into a little restaurant called Steer 89. It came recommended by a local--and I always take local recs seriously. While perusing the menu they had an item called a Navajo Burger ($15) and my curiosity was piqued. Essentially it's a giant hamburger sandwiched between two fry bread "buns," and I really have to say it was easily the most unique thing I've had all year. The burger itself was terrific, as it was seasoned well, had good beefy flavor and cooked expertly. And it was "run through the garden" with all the veggie accoutrements I demand. The hand-cut fries were also a treasure to behold and were everything a fry should be: fluffy, yet crisp and just a bit overly-salted. Of course, we had to get a Navajo Taco ($12), as well, and it too lived up to the hype of the originals I'd had in that church parking lot. While it was nothing fancy, this was probably one of my favorite meals we had on our recent trip and definitely worthy of multiple repeat visits next time we're in the area.

The navajo taco is basically a piece of the navajo bread, which is a thicker, chewier, airier flatbread topped with taco toppings you'd expect from a taco bell, things like shredded lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, onions and chili. The navajo taco was pretty good if you came in expecting that. It is pretty much an american taco with navajo bread. Overall not an interesting find, but nothing too spectacular or mind blowing.

We shared calamari and we are calamari snobs. I wasn't expecting anything great but it really, really was. The crunchy (fresh?) batter was cooked perfectly crispy and the squid meat was not tough. They served it on top of sliced pepperocini, which we kept using throughout the meal. The sauce was delicious too. Now any chef/cook can have an off day, but if the oil is the right temp and they stick to a prescribed fry time, you should experience the same great result. My husband had the Reuben, and he is a Reuben snob. The thickly julienned corned beef made for a little bit of messy eating, but he said it was good. His sweet potato waffle fries were crisp and not too sweet. They stayed crisp throughout the meal. I believe these were frozen but they chose a great product to offer for one of their sides. No shame in a good, coated, crisp, frozen sweet potato waffle fry. I had the desert dipper (French dip to many of us.) It was topped with sauteed mushrooms and onions and the aus jus was really delicious. Not too salty and with a rich flavor without being oily. Again, a product which I would be shocked it if wasn't purchased, but they made a great choice! It doesn't rely on salt, which many chefs turn to to cover less-than-stellar food. My side was a side salad. Mixed mesclun lettuces (with the occasional wilted, icky looking leafs) that made either this batch of lettuce one day past it's prime or needed to be gone through a little closer. The salad was topped with a generous portion of very fresh cucumbers, carrot shreds, cherry tomatoes, cheese and croutons. I was pleased with the overall quality and presentation of that simple side salad. In our previous trip my husband had the quite-curated turkey sandwich and he said it was very good. We ate and looked around, we couldn't see the chef and the bartender had gone to deliver drinks to a people on the outdoor deck. Oddities: 2 salad dressings avail: Ranch or Italian? Cheese on salad was chopped sandwich/burger type. Overall: Limited menu with the basics of what you'd want to quickly grab - burger, a couple sandwiches with a wrap option, chips or fries, and this garden salad. People we encountered were not friendly nor unfriendly, we were unknowns in the golf clubhouse. It was all even toned ride while we rode the wave. All was cool.
