Lobster Mac and cheese - great flavor
    Dawn K.

Came into Birdy's with so much hope, and it started amazing. The space is beautiful and the staff, our waitress, were beyond great. We started with the house made sourdough focaccia, and 3 different compound butters, and holy wow!! This bread is incredible! Came out soft and hot, and all the butters were amazing! Strawberry, blackberry, and a garlic chive! I will dream of this bread! We ordered the lobster Mac and cheese as an appetizer, and it never came out. When we were halfway into our entrees our waitress came to check on us and we reminded her of the Mac and cheese, she apologized and brought it right out. The flavor was great, creamy and Smokey, just needs more lobster. For our entrees: Steak - was cold not cooked per our request. It was expensive so we were disappointed Open fave short rib sandwich- just okay Veggie plate added salmon, this was delicious Overall, food was good, but expensive, both steaks were not cooked well and was cold. Not sure we will be back, unless I can talk my husband into going back just for the bread.

Birdy's was such a treat to find in Moab. When we first arrived, I wasn't expecting really any fine dining spots, so I was shocked to see this one. I was very impressed with the ambiance considering this used to be an old Denny's. We came in on a Saturday night around 7:30 to eat dinner. The food was incredible from start to finish. Everything tasted fresh. We especially liked the misto salad, the short rib and salmon. Our waitress spaced out our dishes well. The drinks were very tasty and perfectly balanced. I would have liked them a little stronger, but I think that is unfortunately just how Utah is. The service was very good and personable. At one point, our waitress was tied up with another table for 15 minutes and they comped one of our appetizers as a thank you for the patience. While Birdy's is new, I do think this will be a staple in Moab going forward. It was refreshing to have a spot worth eating at while visiting. Definitely recommend.

Food - Amazing Service - Amazing Ambiance - Amazing I have never been to Moab so I didn't know what to expect on food options. This was our first stop and it was just so yummy. I recommended it to everyone that I know, that goes to Moab.

Everything about this place screams delicious, screams, ambience, and top-notch service from Sierra and overall. I've tried most of the restaurants in Moab, which are good, but I keep coming back to this one Which is truly exceptional

We were passing through on our Mighty 5 road trip and were not disappointed to have our first dinner in Moab at Birdy's. The restaurant was pretty busy but not loud. The decor was memorable and very well thought out. It is exactly what you imagine when you hear "Finer Diner". The chicken was super tender and delicious. The only complaint I have is that the service was a little slow and that there was very little tzatziki served with my food.

One of my favorites after a long week in Moab. The decor was super cute. Great attention from the staff and they had great recommendations on the menu. The harissa carrots were probably my favorite but it was so hard to choose because everything looked great.

Swanky vibe, interior and music. Little shop with unique and eclectic books, foods, jewelry, and Knick knacks. The menu is limited, but the food is outstanding. Beautifully plated, generous portions that were delicious. Homemade desserts. Our server was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.

BEST RESTAURANT IN MOAB This delightful, vibey upscale diner that used to be a Denny's was fantastic. Jordan was such a great server and the food was excellent! The Green Chile prime rib sando was to die for.

Excellent food, excellent cocktails. The best meal I've had in Moab by a mile, and one of the better ones I've had in Utah.

On the drinks: the cider (Betsy?) was a total win. The hard lemon tea was decent but didn't quite hit the same. On the food side, the fries were great and the pretzel was solid but nothing special. The chicken wings were a little inconsistent, a couple came out undercooked, which was a bummer. The real highlight though? Our server, she was from Mexico City and was just so warm and genuinely kind. Service like that makes all the difference. Worth the stop for sure. We'd pop in again next time we pass through Moab!

Moab is notorious for its predictable, shallow tourist traps that roll out the same uninspired menus to captive crowds, so skipping the main drag nonsense for Proper Brewing felt like the right call. It is a bit of a quirky setup inside. The decor hits you as slightly odd and dated right off the bat, giving off an old-school aesthetic that does not quite line up with modern taproom minimalism, but it functions well enough when you just need to cool down. The service was a bit on the spotty side and carried a rather peculiar vibe, though the kitchen and the bar kept things moving quickly enough for a shorter visit. The real saving grace here lives in the taps and the coolers. Finding a spot in this town that treats classic styles with genuine respect is a rarity. The SLC Pils is incredibly clean with a crisp, snappy noble hop finish that immediately cuts through the midday heat. We leaned into the hoppier side of the list with the Concerning Hops, a beautifully simple and dank West Coast IPA, and the Leisurebrau, which kept the clean drinking streak alive. For something a bit more aromatic, the Blizzard Wizzard held its own, but the standout for me was the Yacht Rock Juice Box. It brings a great tropical, hazy profile that does not fall into that sticky, cloying sweetness trap that ruins so many modern versions of the style. Before heading out, hitting their to-go section is an absolute necessity. They have a killer selection of tall boys ready to go, which is exactly what you want when stocking up for whatever adventure waits just beyond the town limits. We kept the food order simple and focused on the appetizer menu to fuel up after swimming. The Proper Nachos arrived fully loaded with all the standard fixings, including a decent avocado spread and pickled jalapeños. Honestly, they were completely fine, just your textbook, dependable bar nachos that hit the salty craving without reinventing the wheel. The Proper Poutine stepped things up a bit with a rich brown gravy and real cheese curds, layered with an unexpected hit of herbed cream cheese and bacon that added some serious depth to the plate. Dessert, however, turned into a tale of two completely different kitchens. Skip the banana split entirely. They make it with vanilla soft serve instead of traditional hard scoops, which just feels weirdly cheap and results in a melted, sloppy texture before the dish even settles on the table. Truth be told, you need to redirect that attention entirely to the bread pudding. It features chunks of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups baked right into a warm, dense, incredibly rich base, finished with caramel and whipped cream. It is absolutely excellent and easily salvaged the sweet portion of the meal. Even with the quirky atmosphere and the eccentric service, the quality of the beer and the standout dishes make this one of the absolute best options in the area. I would easily drop back in next time I am rolling through Moab.

The nice young waiter took us to a nice balcony with two tables, and said it would probably be 20 minutes before the kitchen opened back up for lunch. (We were fine sitting on the balcony enjoying the view.) We ordered ice teas and just relaxed after the drive down Unaweep Canyon. We both ordered the "Street Tacos". Now I have eaten street tacos for decades, and if streets were lined with gold, these might be the tacos they'd serve. Everything was perfect. The pulled pork was smoked and succulent, the carne asada was moist and flavorful, and the wild mushroom--yep tacos hongos!--were inventive and delicious. They piled them up like they assumed we were going to require a considerable energy expenditure in the near term. In other words, great good, and great portions at prices a resort in the middle of the desert needs to charge to turn a profit. I need a reason to pass through Gateway again.

It feels a bit outdated, but it's what makes this place its own kind of unique. I enjoyed it It's unfortunate how unstaffed this place is because it has a lot of potential. When we were here, there was only one waitress serving everyone. We felt so bad. But she still made her rounds and got us our food, just not as fast as we'd want it sometimes We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast! It wasn't always consistent. Sometimes we would order the same items, and different things came out with it. One instance, we tried some grain bowl and the first day it came with two pieces of toast, one with jelly and the other with peanut butter, but the next day both pieces of toast had peanut butter. Minor, but something you'd notice When we first received the breakfast menu, each side of the menu displayed the same card, even though my partners had different items. Just small things that added up to show the kitchen and staff maybe weren't that organized. The worst part of the restaurant is when we ordered food to go to eat in our rooms. We ordered two burgers, and I honestly thought the kitchen heated up a Big Mac. It tastes exactly like one, and even the buns had those sesame seeds like McDonald's. It was absolutely terrible It's really unfortunate, because the place has so much potential, but you can almost feel that the kitchen doesn't care.
