BBQ sounded amazing and I've never had a platter like this before. I couldn't turn down the 3 meat platter to try everything that peaked my interest. Starting with the hush puppies, fried, sweet, and savory. Yum! The brisket was so tender and juicy. The ribs were also tender and fell off the bone. The andouille sausage had cheese throughout it and I felt like it was too oily and fatty from that, but that ended up being my husband's favorite. We devoured the sides too. The beans and mac and cheese were a must. If I had more stomach space I'd eat a dozen more hush puppies. Outdoor seating allows your furiends. Order at the counter and enjoy! If you want a quick, laid-back meal, this is a great spot. Service can be a hit or miss, the girl taking the order wasn't great, but the people who brought out the food and checked in on us were really nice. I really wanted ribs but at 7pm they were all out. Kind of surprising to not be able to get this at a BBQ place but, got the pulled pork meal instead. The pork itself was very well done, and delicious. And really liked that they put all sauces on the side for you to pick and add as much or as little as you want. But nothing in the menu, the website materials, or anything else indicated that there was jalapeno in the macaroni and cheese, and we were counting on our children eating it so we could enjoy the smoked meats and nice drinks. Just to preface my review I am not a fan of BBQ however I can recognize if food is good or bad. I personally adore tri tip and brisket. That's just what we ordered along with macaroni and fries. Overall I'd personally rate it at about a 6/10 the food fell apart nicely but it was a little more on the cold side when we received it and it lacked a bit of flavor. Judging from that being the only things I really like from bbq I probably wouldn't go again. My girlfriend liked it as far as I remember. My friend loved the brisket and thought the pulled pork was okay although a bit dry. The chicken was fine, also a bit dry but they give you several sauces. The cornbread was nicer than the hush puppies, unless you really live hush puppies and have to have fried food; they're fairly small, and don't come with honey. The Mac and cheese was nice and cheesy, but not crispy and did not have bread crumbs, so not perfect. The Cole slaw was more vinegar-ey and not super thick, which was nice. In the back of the restaurant is also a regular bar area (21 and older) if you're looking for something more quiet without children. They have quite and expansive menu of BBQ items to enjoy. Our favorites were definitely the ribs and the tri-tip beef. Both were so meaty, juicy and flavorful. There's an assortment of sauces on the table to top it off with. I recommend the cheesy grits and the hush puppies for a side dish. The cole slaw was okay but not a little too dry for my taste. It's a filling portion of food but so worth it. The server was nice and since she realized we were sharing she made sure to put we needed extra plates and utensils with our order. We got the smoke fired chicken wings, 3 from the Pitt, and a Cesar salad. Our sides were Mac and cheese and the French fries. Our meats were the trip tip, brisket, and the sausage. My favorite was the brisket, it was juicy/tender. They have 4 sauces: hot bbq, house bbq, mustard bbq, and Alabama white. My fave of the sauces was the Alabama white which I didn't expect! It's a pretty chill spot, the outdoor patio welcomed dogs and everyone was friendly. Before we left we even came back to use the bathroom before our long drive back to SLC and our waiter saw us and waved. Our last night in Moab was spent at the Spitfire Smokehouse. To start, our server was awesome - he was the bartender, but when we were placed in his section, he happily waited on us. He was willing to help us choose and was very attentive to us. - The food was hit and miss. I ordered the three meat option. The brisket was superb and was the only one of the three I would probably get again. The chicken was ok, but way too stringy. I understand that it is "pulled" chicken, but it was so fine that I felt like it negatively effected my enjoyment of it. The tri-tip was probably the weakest of the three options. It was just too dry and less flavorful - which should not be a surprise when compared to a fattier meat like brisket. The meats also came with two sides and cornbread. The cornbread is a huge pass - the bottom was also wet in nature - and I wish I would have gotten the hushpuppies instead. For the sides, the mac and cheese was good and the fries were ok. The food came out in (I kid you not) less than 3 minutes. Nice if you are starving, but definitely a sign that all of the food was simply warmed up and not very fresh. For my sides I got corkscrew Mac and cheese which was soft, tasty and not too goopy, as well as Coleslaw which was nothing special but still fresh and perfectly fine. Plates also come with a pair of fried hush puppies which were a welcome addition. Prices feel pretty average, not cheap but you get a nice portion for what you pay.
