One of the best birria places I've tried so far! Located in front of True North. Perfect location if you're bar hopping in the area, stop by for some tacos! I always get the quesabirria and consome!

Nice outdoor tent seating. We got greeted at we approached the food truck. First time here and we had a few questions. They had music playing and the stereo was right next to the cashier lady that was taking our order and it was very difficult trying to talk over the music with our masks on as well as trying to listen to what she was saying. We ordered a birriamen, which was okay the broth had flavor but didn't think it was anything special. The keto and quesataco was good loved the cheesiness. Taco dorado was my favorite loved the shell that came with it. The birria meat was good and tender. The tacos ranged from $2.45 to $4.00 and some tacos are small so they could get pricey for the portion. Good place if you're a fan of birria.

This Food Truck makes some pretty good beef birria, not to mentions some pretty good quesa tacos. That being said, it was a pair a beef birria quesa tacos for lunch. The tacos were $4 a piece. The best time to come is on Taco Tuesday because you can get 3 quesa tacos for $10. The quesa tacos were well made. They meat was tender and juicy, but I thought the tacos could of used a little more meat and cheese. The chopped onions and cilantro were both good. They need to crisp up the corn tortilla just a little bit more for that excellent texture. I liked that they give you a small cup of beef consommé that the birria is prepared in. It was quite delicious. The young lady at the front was quite nice. They offer a very good amount of outside seating and it's tented right next to the food truck.

Because the customer service was good I gave this spot a 4 star. It did take a while to order my food which is not the trucks fault. I ended up just ordering 1 quesataco because it was $4.00. It was my first time trying this place so I didn't want to end up with a lot of food if I wasn't going to like it. The taco was alright. I would say I've had better. It's nothing special but also it wasn't bad. Honestly it was small and not worth the $4. I probably wouldn't come back here due to the prices. It just wasn't worth my money.

Place is decent. The seating is great. Wait is decent. Overall this place wasn't good or bad. Seating: 10/10 - Plenty of seating Wait: 5/10 - wait felt too long for not much food Price: 3/10 - birria ramen didn't have enough meat for it to be $12.00 tacos were priced decently Food: 6/10 - ramen was a pass. Tacos hard shell weren't crispy, quesataco definitely had a good amount of cheese. And green salsa doesn't have much flavor. A red spicy salsa would have helped. But no red salsa. Not bad but definitely worth a try. Just wouldn't recommend the ramen for lack of meat and value.

Husband and I were in the area so we ended up going to birria kings! This is a food truck that was parked in the same parking lot as Dennys. They have a decent sized menu for being a food truck such as birria pizza, birria ramen, taco, quesabirria etc. My husband and I both got the quesabirria with consume! The broth had tons of flavor and the quesabirria had a lottt of cheesy goodness! The meat was nice and tender which was great! It's a hot summer day and I really wanted to try the birria ramen but way too hot for that. Husband and I will definitely be back!

Be prepared to wait for your order. From waiting in line to getting our food, it took maybe 45 minutes. I don't believe the employees at the register/calling out orders have the most efficient system. They also play music pretty loud and don't have a mic to call out orders so it may take a while for people to hear when they're being called. Food was good, could've been better especially for how relatively high their prices are. $4 quesataco, $5 mulita, $4 consome. Would be cheaper going to a birrieria. The birria is tender and savory and not too heavy or rich. However, by the time we got home (10 min away) our tacos were very soggy. Wish there was a crunchy quesataco option on the menu.

My parents picked up food from here per my request for my birthday. They said it's inside of Chula Vista Brewing and was a little difficult to locate. Temperature was a little warm inside as well. Food was ready to pick up on time. We ordered tacos, the birria pizza and birria ramen. Everything was yummy, I would go back for the birria pizza for sure.

FYI, this review is based on one dish, and not the business as a whole. I may update this in the future. I want to eat here again just to be certain about my opinion, but this is my initial review for the Birria Ramen. -------- It's pretty good, but not great. I'm also a really big fan of ramen and have eaten ramen in multiple, cities, states, and countries. The ramen and birria combo don't quite work. It's really salty. It reminded me of the first time I ate pho or Chipotle - good, but not great because I didn't know how I liked all of the extras prepared. For me, I think it's missing lime. I added more to the bowl I ordered, but like I said, I think if I played with the "extras" I might be able to dial it in and give this 5 stars. However, as is, it's not the best ramen. And at $13, it's basically an extravagant Maruchan. Still giving it 4 stars though. Clever idea, fast service, pretty good (I would try again), clean, and lots of space with good customer service.

Finally was able to try this place after seeing their pics online. Came here on a Sunday afternoon. There was not much people during that time. We tried the Birria pizza and Birria ramen. Birria pizza- this pizza was really big! I really like the Tortilla crust! It had a good amount of Birria and was really cheesy. Definitely can feed atleast 4 ppl. This was really good but it was a lil messy to eat. The pizza came with consome. Birria ramen- the flavor was really good. It had a good amount of ramen and birria. The ramen was on the saltier side but still enjoyed it.

If you've never had birria before, you must try it! This Mexican stew hails from the Mexican state of Jalisco and is traditionally made with goat, but this Chula Vista-based food truck makes a beef version. "Birria King" is an appropriate name for this establishment: the chefs make creative use of their birria in tacos, tortas, burritos, and even ramen and pizza! We opted for the more traditional tacos and tortas and were not disappointed. The meat is fall-apart, rich and savory; the stock (consomme) is doused over the tortillas and bread, which adds tremendous flavor. The seating area is simple but comfortable: large tent covers several tables, seating about 20. There is even a liquor store closeby to pickup a beverage to accompany this excellent meal.

There were a couple of groups dining in and someone picking up a to-go order, but there was still plenty of seating available. The employee working the counter was friendly. They also serve alcohol, and during my visit drinks were 20% off. Options included Pacifico, Modelo, Blue Moon, hard seltzers, and a selection of canned craft beers. I ordered: * Mahi Mahi Taco: the fish tasted fresh, and I liked the crispy onions on top. There was quite a bit of sauce, which made it pretty messy to eat. While the fish was good, it felt like a very heavy taco overall. * Surf & Turf Taco: this was loaded with steak and topped with two flavorful shrimp. The shrimp had an amazing flavor, and this taco was much more enjoyable and balanced. Overall, the service was great, the prices were very reasonable, and the protein quality was excellent. My only critique is that the tacos felt a little overdone with toppings and sauces when the quality of the protein could easily stand on its own. Still, it's a solid spot for an affordable late-night bite. One thing to note: there are no restrooms available inside the restaurant.
