#1. Owner of this place is a true clown. Placed an order in through Uber Eats went to pick them up. This is a truck not a brick and mortar. I get there guy in the truck has no idea about my order so he calls the owner. Apparently the owner sends the orders from his house to the truck Guy in the truck has to call "the owner" (if you can even call him that) and he tells me that my order was ready 30 mins ago (I had put my order in maybe 10 mins ago TOPS. I tell him "let's not play game just cancel the order cause my Uber Eats says it's ready for pick up and it's clearly not" he then tells me to be an "adult" and for me to cancel it. To which I replied that's not an option for me. He then tells me he's gonna call the cops after talking trash about me in Spanish and assuming I didn't understand it. I have a recording of the truck guy stating the owner never sent him the order so if he wants to dispute this he'll look like an idiot. read more

Good tacos but the people who work on the truck are dumb and useless. Don't order via seamless because they don't know how that works. The people inside kept telling me they didn't have any orders even after they told Seamless that my order was completed and ready. I'd give them 1 star but finally the owner picked up the phone and agreed to refund me. But not after I wasted 45 minutes making 2 separate trips with no tacos to show for it. This place was showing up in my instagram feed and I knew I had to eat here. Knowing nothing about birria but knowing its been a trend in NYC lately I had to stop by and get their Quesobirria. Tacos are amazing. Tacos with barrio that you could dip, even better. Although kinda messy to eat in your car, these tacos were delicious. The meat was flavorful along with the fresh veggies and cheese in the taco. Dunk all that and you got something even better. The cart is clean and the workers are alright. I wanted to love this food truck because with Birria you just can't go wrong, but I was definitely not feeling their style of Birria nachos! I wanted Birria nachos so badly after reading about this food truck on Gothamist and I did not get what i expected! At first I had very high hopes but I got so so much cheese, very little nachos and very little Birria. I actually love cheese but if you're expecting authentic Mexican nachos, these are not it. These were like identical to theater nachos. Some may love that acquired taste but it's not for me. Service was great. Friendly workers, they respond to their DM's for ordering your food on their Instagram page and the menu on their truck is detailed and simple. I was still hungry coming home from dinner in Brooklyn and thought - let me go grab some tacos. I had read about this place in the recent Eater article. I'm down to give everything a chance. I was deciding which item to get. Should I get the classic taco? The cheesy taco? Perhaps the mulita, basically a tortilla sandwich with cheese? My eyes looked at Peter's combo - done. One of each. The consommé was complimentary. There was no meat in the soup but to be honest, I didn't mind. I personally enjoy eating while alternating to sip the broth. The quesabirria was probably my favorite. A crispy thin tortilla shell, braised beef all cozied up between some cheese. It was the perfect dessert for the evening. Flavor was good, shell was crunchy enough. We love taco trucks. We came here because I saw other people's picture of a crunchy red taco from here and had to try myself. I like when the guy we ordered from understood me when I said no cebollas, and there was none in my order. THANK YOU SO MUCH. It gave the experience of a crunchy yet held its shape taco. After, trying several birria spots I've come to the realization that while I enjoy the tacos (and these are fine,) I wish that they were a little more complex. I found the tacos themselves to be slightly bland but the consommé more than compensated. I'm really all about the consommé , and tacos/mulitas etc are a vessel for me to get to my main attraction the consommé. Spicy complex with meat bits. Quesobirria w/ consome - 8/10 The quesobirria was filled with meat and cheese. I wish it was slightly more flavorful but overall still pretty good. Their hot sauce was something else, I wish I had added more of it to my quesobirria. Tortabirria w/cosome - 8/10 I really wanted to try this cause it seemed interesting. While it still tasted as good as the quesobirria, I don't think I'm as big of a fan of the tortabirria because the bread gets too soggy from the consome. Ordered it on uber eats so it might've lost its quality there but... These were just okay to me! Meat wasn't as tender as I had hoped. The consume was pretty bland and didn't have extra meat pieces like others do. It kinda felt like the food was sitting out all day and was quickly reheated. On my way to another place i spotted online, the truck appeared out of the blue with lots of parking and a single table and chair set. I knew I'd seen them here and there on IG, but being overshadowed by west coast birria posts and the more well-known vendors made it difficult to find them. There was virtually no line, walked right up and placed my order. The young guy suggested i get the quesabirria instead of the regular crunchy birria tacos and they did not disappoint! As soon as i decided, my order was underway! I think the guy cooking was the dad making the tacos to order. All I can say is 3 quesabirria hefty tacos with consomme for only $12? Yes, please. The delicious scent began to waft, because 2 or three guys popped and placed big orders. All three were Mexican and Central American. To me that the seal of approval i needed. My order was carefully packed and the guys politely waves goodbye. I hadn't eaten since the day before, so one taco had to get eaten immediately and let me tell you..... it was delicious! It made me think of the tender juicy birria I enjoyed in LA last year, and with the cheese and crunchy shell from the flat top oh so delicious. When I reached home, I reheated another one in the toaster oven, and it was even better! The lime, cucumbers and radishes were a great addition to the flavors. If you want a little spice, it comes with homemade hot sauce, I didn't need it at all. The flavors were there. I am not sure well this place isn't getting better reviews, it was pretty good. Food was fresh and was ready in 5 minutes! Tortabirria was bland, Quesobirria was good but their consume was really good. Add the lime and 1/3 the red hot sauce to consume and thank me later! Dipping the Quesobirria into Consume (comes free with 3 quesobirria's!) with added hot sauce and lime was a home run for us. Just remember to ask for a spoon for consume (if you're into that sort of thing). They dont auto add spoons to bags with consume. They only do CASH or ZELLE. They offer outdoor seating. Dear Yelpers!!! Boy was I enamored when I found this place! First go around it was perfect and very crunchy! I got the quesobirria order. You can't order individual tacos it only comes in orders. Unfortunately each time I went it was a different experience, just kinda got worse and worse. The last time I couldn't hold my tongue. At $12 for 3 tacos and a consume soup, the birria meat was extremely dry, the cucumbers and limes that come with it were dry and the consume soup was full of grease and fat. So disappointed! I went during the summer of 2021, the food was so delicious I order another more expensive $14 plat of large birria tacos to go. Made with love. I went again recently, zero love, ordered 2 sets of birria tacos, and they were absolutely horrible. No onions, cilantro, lime on the side, the consume didn't have it either and tasted bland. Also the guy on the flat top grill made in literally 5 minutes, no char or burnt edges indicating that the tortilla was heated and fully cooked to melt the cheese. He literally put meat and cheese warmed it up a little and folded it. It wasn't even cooked, it was WARMED up. I literally got 2 orders of a mediocre quesadilla and bland tomato soup, and paid $26 dollars. Each order should have came with 1 bowl of consume, I only got one. I am not Mexican, nor I'm an expert on Birria tacos. I've only eaten Birria taco from BIRRIA-LANDIA and needless to say their tacos are simply the best. I was in Brooklyn and saw that Peter's Crunchy Tacos has Birria tacos so I was excited to give it a try. The tacos from Peter's food cart is nothing like the Birria tacos I've tried before (in a bad way). The tacos were blend and the consume ( that came with the taco combo order) had no meat in it. The customer service was even worst than the food. The man who was taking the order had given many customers the wrong orders. I will start off positively by saying I ordered my food on Cinco De Mayo and I'm sure that it is a crazy hectic day for most Mexican restaurants and that my order arrived promptly which was really surprising. The 2 stars are for fast delivery, and prompt service, even tho one of my orders was missing a drink. It was free so I can't get too upset over it. The food however...it was mediocre at best. I got Peter's combo and my taco had more beef fat than actual meat, some cheese and some onion. There was no cilantro, no tomatoes, no lettuce, no garnishes, which made the tacos kinda boring. The tacos and mulitas were super greasy! I know this isn't health food, but even then it is still overly greasy. The consome was watery af and very bland. I didn't even bother to finish the food because it just wasn't enjoyable. I ordered here because I Nene's Taqueria had a 3 hr wait and this place didn't. They also had a buy 1 get 1 free deal too.
