I'll admit I very rarely ever eat Mexican food. As a matter of fact, Mexican and Spanish food in general are my least favorite cuisine. I know I will get persecuted for saying this. :D So when an acquaintance suggested Mexican food, I Googled and came across this place. He got a burrito and I ordered the fajitas mixtas and the camarones quesadillas. The quesadillas were alright. One of the things I won't ever get used to about eating tacos is how messy it is. It's one of the things that comes with the territory. The quesadilla didn't really have much flavor. On the flipside, the fajitas mixtas was very good. I was pleasantly surprised when my brother told me this. The beef was a bit dry and the beans made the dish drop a star but otherwise, it was very flavorful. I would like to try more of the food they serve here. I will mention a couple of things that can be improved upon. For one, the tortillas were too hard. Anyone who lives in Sunset park knows this restaurant is nothing short of a neighborhood institution. With flexible long hours and fresh food at reasonable prices, there is so much to love about this neighborhood staple. Nestled right by the 45 St R train, this place has been dishing out succulent delicious tacos and I am absolutely here for it. Their truck on 5 Ave is a neighborhood gem but I also love coming here for the sit down experience. This time around I ordered chips and spicy guacamole- loved the flavors in the guac but the serving was a little small. My friend ordered tacos and their birria is my favorite. I love that they added the cheese option as well now, so do good! I went for the quesadilla trio because I heard a lot about it. My only complaint is that the quesadillas could have more cheese inside, but the beef was absolutely delicious and chock full of meat and a total dream. Their chocolate mousse cake is my favorite dessert in the neighborhood- but it always arrived frozen rock solid whether you deliver it or have it in the restaurant. They really need to stop storing that in the freezer, it completely ruins the dessert. Other than that I love that service here is always no frills and that they're open late. Guacamole is 9/10, I would've liked it a bit spicier. Birria tacos were very good, the consume was on point, 8/10. Bistec encebollado portion was very small but the steak was tender and flavorful, 7/10. The waitress was meh, not very familiar with the menu. We were on our way from the Sheep and Wool Festival and one of my knitting buddies asked if we would be interested in getting dinner before heading home. I decided to take her up on her offer. She lives in the area and has been to this establishment. There was a slight wait but it was not a big deal. I liked the atmosphere--casual and relaxed. My friend ordered the taco al pastor and the bistec taco. I ordered the fish taco, chicken taco and taco al pastor. Since I ordered the regular-size chicken taco, I was able to get a side of guacamole. This place doesn't serve alcohol so I decided to get the juego de tamarindo and my friend got the jarrito soda. I thought the service was really good and the tacos were delicious. She also picked up some tacos for her husband. All in all, the bill came up to $20 for everything. The meat was dry and didn't have as much flavor to it when compared to the other tacos I got. - Torta barbacoa * when I first tired it, my stomach reacted poorly and I think that was due to the variety of flavors I tasted that were mainly coming from the the jalapeños and avocados that were on it (note: I'm not a fan of avocado). * once I removed those 2 toppings its was more tolerable but it was just okay. Bread was decent and the meat was average. Overall, my experience was okay but nothing special. I also wouldn't completely write it off as they do have many other dishes outside of their tacos & tortas that could be significantly better. The "just one more" feeling is gone after three of these. This is a pit in your stomach that is going to be accompanied by heartburn 2-3 hours from now. What saves this review is the pretty waitresses that work here and the fresh, homemade guacamole that is prepared. It tastes awesome. A lovely silky texture that would taste good even in the shower. The free chips and salsa are nice but add absolutely nothing to the experience. The salsa is watered down and the chips have next to no flavor. Keep in mind this four star review is with trepidation. They offer other Mexican offerings so if I return I will try one of those. In the meantime this four star review is a judicious one. The search continues. Or maybe I should just give up. read more

My favorite was the Al pastor. The pork was tender and flavorful the pineapple added the touch of sweetness. It's definitely a popular taco truck a lot of people were outside eating and ordering. First time coming to this spot but i heard yhat they were an amazing taco spot and it was sooo true. We got a total of 12 tacos of 4 different varieties. Tacos that i got were: Bistec Tacos - 5/5 delicioso and simplicity that i will always order the steak tacos Pastor Tacos - 4.5/5 i really enjoyed the pineapple but not how the taste was with the guacamole Suadero Tacos - 5/5 the beef was so tender and easy to eat.
