Our favorite Mexican place! Always good when we come. I get the queso appetizer with a side of rice and beans as my meal. More than enough to fill me up. Partner always likes to get the molcajeta. He likes the variety that comes in it.

Back again!! This was my 7th time the past 2 years with my travels into Oklahoma seeing customers. I ended up stopping here last week for lunch right before the 3 o'clock cut off and had the lunch special. Everything was hot and delicious. I'm kind of partial because my last name is the same as the restaurant.

If you are looking for a hole in the wall with great drinks, food, a friendly staff, this is the place to go. The food is always delicious! You will get full and probably have leftovers. We have eaten here several times and it never disappoints! The prices are great and you definitely get what you pay for. Highly recommend.

I give the food 5 Stars. Service today was a 3. No one at my table received a refill or was even asked. I tried many times to make eye contact and let someone know that we needed refills. At one point, I was trying to get the attention of a worker but he was distracted, texting on his phone and he was only feet away. It felt like eternity before he finally got off his phone. I get that at moments the restaurant was very busy, and I was very patient. I waited. And I waited. And I waited some more even at times when it slowed down, our table was neglected. Not to mention, we specifically asked for a margarita, frozen and it came out on the rocks but I didn't want to add more to the stress of things so I let it go. Also we had originally asked for a sweet tea, that never came. The only reason it was finally brought later was because we reminded a different server. But the food was good.

Some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. Beans are delicious and fresh. Birria was very meaty and hearty. Consumme was spectacular, super flavorful. Prices aren't that bad considering the portion sizes. This place is a must try for anyone passing through okc. Service was fine, there were plenty of waiters around. I would make a reservation though if you need to eat at a certain time. The restaurant is not huge but there's parking around the side and more behind the building.

    Double Molcajate

I have eaten at many Mexican food restaurants, but first time to eat here, going in thinking all Mexican food is the somewhat the same, but after eating here, not true! The double molacajete with homemade tortillas was amazing! We also had a botana and cantaritos. All amazing! If trying to decide which Mexican food place to choose - look no further you will not be disappointed.

I always check reviews on yelp and decided to visit this location since they had better reviews than the location nearest me. I'm visiting OKC on business and I'm really happy to have stopped in. The service was exceptional! Server, Paul was so welcoming and attentive to my needs and his dimpled smile added to the ambiance. They were experiencing air conditioning issues but were more than accommodating to ensure customers were in the most comfortable spot. I was ok with the ceiling fans going and focused on the amazing and authentic food, exceptionally prepared, and simply delicious! Owner, Ricardo was also attentive, ensuring I was well cared for. Great job! I'll definitely be back to this pot.

Came here for brunch on a Sunday at 2:00 without a reservation. We arrived and I completely didn't realize we could have made a reservation on Yelp. Note to self - make a reservation! We ended up waiting 30 minutes for our party of 6. A party of 4 was able to walk in and be seated immediately before us. The restaurant was decorated with authentic decor and spacious. Definitely a busy place! Out of all the things we ordered, everyone enjoyed their dishes. The parrillada was awesome and even if it only is supposed to be for 2 people, it could definitely feed at least 3-4. The fajitas were fresh and sizzling. The shrimp a la diabla was very flavorful. Actually ALL of it was! The only item that was just okay was the birria tacos. Granted the consume was there and helped but the meat was dry by itself if you didn't dip it in consume. But otherwise, there was lots of flavor. Would recommend!

My wife and I were shopping in the area and decided to give it a try. Wasn't extremely busy or fancy at all but it was clean, the staff were very friendly and the service was great! I'm not exaggerating when I say that it was the best Mexican food that I've had from any restaurant anywhere. Authenticity and freshness were second to none! The drinks were amazing and the appetizers and meals arrived steaming hot ! It was well worth the drive from Midwest City. We will definitely be back soon!

Nothing forced about it, just a good vibe. I got a vermút and the goat cheese sandwich with fig jam. The sandwich is on the smaller side, but it hit the spot as a snack. The bread was noticeably fresh, which made a difference. My drink came out fast; the food took a little longer, but the kitchen looked tiny so that made sense. What caught my eye on the menu was the conservas section. You don't really see that around OKC, at least not at places like this. I didn't try any this time since I was already eating, but I want to go back for that specifically.

Just don't go here…read more I've lived here for 5 years and by far the worst restaurant experience I have had in Oklahoma, and if you see my other reviews I'm pretty forgiving and tend to give spots the benefit of the doubt. This is a place worth an absolute flaming of a review.... But they already wasted enough of my time and energy today so I'll just summarize. No management on scene, no hostess, one server, two bartenders and a restaurant at 50% capacity on Mother's Day at 1 p.m. From walking in to having our orders taken, 30 minutes. 45 minutes later our order of roasted vegetable salad, steak eggs Benedict, and sourdough toast arrived. Salad was very well burnt but my mom was trying to be nice and didn't want to walk out. Eggs Benedict came out with two eggs boiled through, a hollandaise sauce with a sour smell and cold steak. I didn't eat it and no one seemed to notice, had it removed from my bill easy enough, but again zero F's given and no management showed daylight. Wife's toast actually arrived 5 minutes after the 'rest' of the food and the only thing hot and delicious. Toast here is $11, so there's that. No one cares here. From the health violations and poor food safety I saw in the kitchen, the multiple tables I witnessed sending back food to the multiple parties puzzled as to why they weren't being sat or once they were entirely ignored... it was so wildly bad I was embarrassed for everyone else having the same experience. Again, don't go.

The salad was simple but delicious, steaks were bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The Mac and cheese was a little dry for my liking but was good. The Burrata appetizer was a mush of ingredients. Spinach salad was overdressed and the add on of a single $7 scallop with the diameter of a nickel hidden in the mess was laughable. The shredded string carrot were never ending like a slinky. I had the Halibut as an entree on top of overcooked bucatini swimming in lemon oil. The fish was chewy, 1 inch thick skin side up and over oiled. It was garnished with curly stem on parsley. My sister ordered the Mac and cheese side, which waiter had to be reminded of, and it might as well have come out of a box. Watery to boot. The bar experience looked intriguing but I won't be back . I'm in town from Vegas.
