If you ever want to stir up an argument about good Mexican food in Edmond, definitely recommend Ted's. I don't understand the haters and no, I've visited California, but I've never lived there.... I've also been to Mexico and I know this isn't Mexican food... but it is damn delicious. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. We are big fans of the street tacos, the fajitas, the asada fries, the kids burrito is a great deal, and yes, you do want the complimentary relish and the spicy salsa and the regular salsa and the queso and the flour tortillas that they will offer along with the chips. Prices are definitely up a bit compared to a few years ago, but when you fill up on chips and all the appetizers they bring, you can take half your food home and have a fantastic breakfast the next day. My only disappointment is they no longer send home a free set up to go- bring back the free set up, please! It was a great way to make date night feel less guilty by bringing the kids chips and salsa when we get back, haha. Service is really always great and the environment is exactly what you'd expect for a Tex-Mex joint. We've been coming to Ted's for over 30 years and it is our go to place for celebrations, date nights, or a random lunch date. read more

WOW! INCREDIBLE! The food was out of this world. I got the chicken Monterey and the tortillas with butter is just unforgettable! Austin was our server and he was incredible. Always checked up on us and made sure we had what we needed. It was crowded but shockingly we weren't packed in there like sardines. First time there. It was packed but we still got our seats pretty quick. Food was great!!!

Ted's is one of our favorite places to visit. We live near Tulsa but were in the area and decided we needed some fresh tortillas! It was a Friday evening so they were pretty busy, but we were able to get immediate seating at the bar tables. The food was delicious as always, our favorite is the fresh tortillas, chips and all the dips. Our service was just okay, yes they were busy, however, we had a hard time getting refills or finding our server. We didn't feel rushed even though it was very hectic sitting next to the kitchen. Overall, we left full and happy. read more

Food and service was awesome. Started with draft XX in frosted mug with salted rim and lime pulp. Excellent. Served us sautéed onions and jalapeños which tasted great on their hand made tortillas. My first visit to Ted's so I selected my staple TexMex choice, taco salad bc I love lots of salad with my TexMex. It was excellent and couldn't eat it all bc I was leaving room for Sopapilla. Don't know how they can get that much sugar and cinnamon on their Sopapillas. read more

The food was hot and tasted amazing. The kids love the table games that keep them occupied while waiting for food. We went on Sunday after church with a fast waiting list. Kids ate well. This place was just ok. was not thrilled with the menu choices. the food was good, but not great. They have fresh made tortillas etc. that is kind of the only thing that was impressive. Our waiter was great, his family came in and sat to the table next to us. we did cut up with them a little because he nearly dumped a dish of pico de gallo in my sister's lap. I had steak quesadilla, my meat tasted much better than the beef my daughter ordered with her rice and corn. my sister said she always gets the nachos. my go to at any restaurant is rice with chicken, queso and pico de gallo. that was not an option on the menu- which now I'm grateful for as their queso is horrid. looks and tasted like it came out of a can. it is not the creamy white queso that we always get at Mexican places. the salsa was ok, very MILD. we asked for hot and was brought some kind of chunky stuff. all we wanted was what we had but spicier. so, i ended up taking just a little of the hot and adding to the salsa we liked. I can't put into words how strange the whole experience was, did not seem authentic Mexican to me. (not even the typical American version). not even the ambiance said Mexican to me. the next day when we heated up our leftovers for lunch my daughters queso solidified after only 30 seconds in the microwave, bleh. I don't live here so i definitely won't be back. Many areas could be improved so the 2 things that were great was the tortillas and our servers personality. read more

Don't eat at Ted's is the best advice I can give. We ordered 2 Perfect Margaritas to start. They were absolutely TERRIBLE! The menu said they're served with a reposada tequila, Grand Mariner & Cointreau. They were so tart we could hardly drink them! They were all ice and tart margarita juice, no tequila, much less reposada, no Grand Marnier, no Cointreau! At $12.99 each, Ted's should be ashamed! The cheese enchiladas, topped with chili icon carne were served on a hot plate, however the cheese inside was not melted.The guacamole was fine. The beef tacos were not hot either and everything we ate had no flavor, completely bland! We hadn't been to Ted's in Edmond for a long time, we now remember why! We won't be back. Try any other restaurant just don't go to Ted's, it's not good, in fact it's highly disappointing!!!! read more

Family dinner time and Mom likes this spot, so I gave it a try. They start you out with a table full of salsa, chips, and warm queso. It's hard not to get full before the food arrives. The chips are really good. Our server was awesome and checked on us frequently. I had the chili rejelleno and it was huge with great flavor. It was stuffed full of meat ( shredded chicken) and was worthy of returning. The kids even liked their chicken fingers, but loved the tortillas. I can see why this place was busy. It's a cute colorful decor with typical skulls and margarita glasses everywhere. Nice family dinner spot. read more

We have been big fans of Ted's since we moved here in 2001. We go about once a month. It's our favorite Mexican Food place and has been for 20ish years. Our go to location is the Edmond (Danforth) Ted's. We even got pretty well acquainted with the management. We couldn't wait for them to reopen after the kitchen flood. A few months ago we noticed that our manager friend wasn't there. We figured he was just taking time off, but he hasn't come back. Lately things have gone downhill. The last time we were in there (about a month ago) we didn't get chips and queso, etc. until we were almost through with our meal, which was very slow in being delivered. Our server kept telling us chips were coming, but they didn't. Finally a manager brought it and said he was going to give us a discount on our meal but he didn't. Also, my order was not right. I ordered a shredded beef chimichanga, but got ground beef instead. It was the worst experience we've had at a Ted's. Today we went in again. We noticed several things that were slipping. Servers were bringing the chips and queso setup instead of the server helpers who had done it in the past. Servers all seemed to be overloaded, not spending as much time at tables, moving faster, more disjointed. We've been there enough to know what normal service feels like. Yes, it was Sunday and it was busy, but that's our normal time to go. We're very familiar with the Sunday rush at Ted's. Another "weird" thing they were using styrofoam "cups" for some of the setup items. My wife got her salsa in one of them, but I got mine in a regular black ramekin and we both got our queso in the black remekins. We saw several around where we were sitting. Don't know if the kitchen just wasn't getting things washed quick enough or what. Our server did a good job, but was running from table to table like she was serving too many at a time. The food came out in a normalish time, and was hot and correct. However, my wife's quesadilla was scorched. We were seated next to a table which had several problems with their service. At one point we heard one of them say they weren't ever coming back. I can't argue with them. On the way home we discussed finding a new place to get Mexican food. On our way out we noticed Ted's has changed the sign that shows the manager of the restaurant. We miss the old management and so does this Ted's. read more

Let me say first they out server at the bar was fantastic. Great personality and was certainly nice. This was our first time back since they reopened. We had the chicken and shrimp fajita combo. The chicken and shrimp was very bland. We ordered the black beans for my wife and the steamed pinto beans for me. They both tasted like they came out of a can. No sizzle at all and were only luke warm. The best part of the meal was the flour tortillas. We both ordered "perfect margaritas" and they were not good either. Sorry Ted's but this was not near worth the $100 we spent! read more

When you get a to go order they charge for their atomic sauce but if eat inside it's included. The next time we went inside we had leftovers to take home so asked for the setup that has always been included but now they charge extra so to even it out I will not tip their anymore if I ever decide to back. read more

Best waiter I've had at a restaurant since I can't remember (Indian guy with a dangle earring) and besides having the kids chicken strips over cooked everything else was perfect. We've been here a bunch of times, but we're at the point now where we're just done. The best thing about this place is the chips, guac, queso, salsa, tortillas, and the sopapillas. The beef tacos are also usually good. The service is pretty awful, aside from 1-2 waiters. Also, every. single. time. we visit this restaurant, at least one of us has dirty silverware. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. And the plates are often dirty as well. Just statistically speaking, I don't even understand how it's possible to ALWAYS get dirty silverware. With the flaky and inattentive staff, the dirty silverware and dishes, and the fact that a lot of their dishes are just meh, we're done. There's just now pull to go here anymore. We took a break for years after they got rid of some of the dishes we liked. We came back for a handful of visits and they still don't have it together. We're just done. And the sad part is, once upon a time, this was the place you could go and get excellent service. It was so good that your drinks, chips, etc. never went unfilled/empty. They were Johnny on the spot. Honestly we were disappointed when we went for lunch. The portions were good however the flavor was challenged. The table set and sauces were lacking compared to other locations in Edmond. And frankly the prices for what you get compared to others were just pricey. read more

Ted's is always delicious. I gave never had a bad meal there. Our family loves the tortillas.

We visited earlier this week against our better judgment (The last time was bad.) and we were met with the same bad experience. Teds has lost its magic and it's because they've obviously changed their previously top notch training and performance expectations. Teds used to care what we thought of our meal. The servers would ask us every time if our meal was excellent (because it was!). Now its like any other mediocre restaurant; they don't care to ask and its probably because they just don't care and because the food isn't nearly as good as it used to be. It isn't oven hot nor is it really tasty. Even the salsa(s) (to include atomic, which wasn't spicy hot, darnit) don't taste the same. The "cheese" sauce is really just coagulated chicken soup. To be balanced, the tortillas are still great. The $12.99 specialty margaritas are fairly tasty, but, golly, they don't have alcohol in them (This wasn't the first time.). We might've just had a cheaper, non-alcoholic lemonade instead. The servers and bussers often stood around chit chatting about non-business happenings with what appeared to be a manager. To top it all off, and this is pretty bad, one of the bussers watched a patron walk away from his table and then he, the busser, proceeded to quickly sit down at that table to fill out the customer satisfaction survey on the tablet that the patron hadn't closed out of. Yes, it happened. All good things eventually come to an end. We'd just hoped it wouldn't be Teds. We drove away agreeing that we'd never return. read more

45 min wait due to us having such a big group. 16... And a Saturday night.... Got seated and chips and salsa were delivered promptly.... Taylor took great care of us. All the food came out tasty and hot! The food came out relatively quick considering the busy night. The only qualm was that a mistake on my nephews order but they got out a replacement quick!.... While waiting I got VIP service from Hana at the bar...she made the visit more enjoyable...cold beer she poured -oh so yummy. If in the area in the future I would definitely visit again. Terrible! I was looking for a place for takeout for my son and myself. Drove past Teds a number of times and thought I'd give them a try. I pulled up and was greeted by a nice employee making curbside deliveries. He told me he could bring a menu to me. While I waited, I tried to order it online but couldn't be because the location is not on the online list. He brought the menu to me and suggested I go in to place the order. I was directed to the "To Go" area. Before I could order anything, I was told by the pretentious girl working there that she was going to get me a wait time. She "gleefully" returned and told me it was going to be an hour wait. I ended up going to Boomerang down the road. It was cheaper, but the customer service was outstanding. I get it, she probably doesn't care if I spent my money there and that the restaurant will be just fine without my order. I'm also sure she could care less if I ever come back, but come on. You don't have to be happy about the wait time. Also, Yelp states the staff wears masks. I clearly did not see this girl with one on. read more

Served by Sam. Very busy when we visited, but the hosts were extremely kind and quick. They got us seated within 10 minutes, and less than 2 minutes later, people brought out chips and salsa/queso. Sam was very kind and knowledgeable on the menu. He even chatted with us a little bit about our days and plans for the weekend, even when he was packed with tables. Heard he started around a month ago, but we couldn't even tell. Props to him for his outstanding service at peak hours! The ambiance was great. We loved the decor and the music, as well as all the positive attitudes. Food was great at well. Nothing bad to say about it. Definitely will be coming back for more! read more

We had a mostly great experience at Ted's last week. Our server Toby was attentive and super quick to refill drinks and chips and everything. The food was good and hot and plentiful. We were seated immediately when we got there. The only negative was that on the table was a device used to pay your bill. Apparently it also had games that could be played for a fee. We weren't notified of this in any way until there was a $2.99 charge for the games on our bill. Shame on us for not fully investigating, but a warning ahead of time would have been appreciated. read more
