I was stopping by to visit some friends, and dinner time just hit, so we figured we should grab some food. Since they lived in the area, they recommended this place. It's a super small shop, so there was not much more than a few tables. This just means the food is good, right? Since it was my friends' recommendation and I figured they'd been here a few times, I let them handle the ordering, and I had no regrets. Everything was delicious! The menu is pretty minimal, which is always a good sign that they specialize in what they serve. We got a few things: tacos dorados de birria, chicken flautas, and soft tacos. The highlight of the meal was definitely the chicken flautas; they were just so good! The cheese, lettuce, and all the toppings really made it an experience. It was a refreshing change from the heavier, more meaty, and greasier options we tried. I'm not saying the other dishes were bad, but after a few bites, they did feel a bit heavy. The consommé and the red and green sauces helped balance that heaviness, and the chilies provided were perfect for cutting through it. They were a wonderful addition to the meal. The restaurant was small inside, with some really cool paintings decorating the interior. (very cultured) Love it! However, there was no restroom available, but that's beside the point. The temperature of the food was COLD , we had to warm our plates up in the microwave, we got no condiments and one of my coworkers had to drive 10 miles to go pick up the missing plates. By that time our lunch hour was over. This type of service is unacceptable and I definitely think we deserve some type of refund , at this point an apology just wont do. I used to think maybe she was having a bad day, but every single time I've been there, she answers with an attitude. The food is good, but the service is getting worse. Particularly I have to quickly call out the older woman with glasses who works at night. She has blondish hair. She insist on talking to me in Spanish when I clearly don't speak & talk to her in english I am a frequent customer at this establishment, and every time she serves me, she is as rude as can be. They come with a roasted jalapeño, salsa and a small cup of consomme (broth).The tortilla had a perfect crisp while having the perfect amount of meat, cheese, onions and cilantro! They also give you a side of freshly made tortilla chips and salsa and boy was that spicy! I did not expect the salsa to be that hot but I was pleasantly surprised! For drinks they have assorted canned coke products, bottled water and they have horchata, jamiaca, and several other agua frescas. I got their horchata and it was super refreshing and tasty! It brought down the heat from the tacos and salsa! I definitely want to try the burrito and fluatas next time I'm here! The inside is quite small and they only have a couple tables inside with maybe 1-2 outside. They are located next to the El Super market so there is plenty of parking available.
