$2 tacos?? I mean who can beat that? Stopped in for a couple tacos, hadn't had Birrieria Tacos before. Approached the counter not knowing what we wanted and the cashier jumped into action to tell us about the different options. They have a variety of Birrieria options, including plates. The service was quick, it took about 5 minutes to get our order out around 2 pm. Inside there are plenty of tables and booth seating available. Although the building is older the place is well kept. We ended up ordering four Birrieria tacos. Surprisingly, they were stuffed with meat and the toppings were on the side. For every two tacos they give you plenty of toppings, cilantro, lime, and onion packaged fresh on the side. To drink we had the horchata, which was a little too sweet for my taste buds. The tacos were pretty good though, especially for the 2 bucks. If you're looking for a quick lunch, Birrieria, and it being on the cheaper side. This is the place. read more

Clean, welcoming, great music and the lingering mouth watering aroma of consommé in the air. What else could you look for. Oh yeah, it's affordable and there's a robust portion size that makes it a great value. So how did it taste? Taco - I added cheese (peep the ooey gooey goodness) the shredded braised beef is well portion, seasoned and tender making every bite picture worthy as you pull away from the taco. There's a great crunch the way they sear the taco on the flat top. To my surprise, the integrity of each taco regardless the crunch or the amount of consommé, stayed in tact. The tacos come with red onion, limes, and cilantro with were a great addition and fresh bite. I've heard left and right from co workers to strangers talking about Birrieria Guadalajara, their comsume and the quezabirria on how good it was. Well my fellow readers, I had to come to this place since over the past week my friend had a baby shower and I kid you not, they had this place catering there at the baby shower. Let me tell you something, it was BOMB DOT COM!!! So I had to come to the resturant to get the freshest tacos and comsume! I would like to thank Leo, our cashier for talking our orders today, very friendly and great customer services. This is my first time here at the restaurant, we got here around 3pm on a Wednesday, before thanksgiving and the place was empty. (Which is great for me because it wasn't overwhelming to be in line) there menu is pretty simple, I ordered the trio plate which has two super cruncy birria tacos and one quezabirria with consume, a large Dr. Pepper to wash it all down. I also got a hot sauce (Very spicy but oh so good) Comes with your order is cilantro, diced red onions, utensils and napkin on a separated clear bag, although I brought some wet wipes which is a must because of the sauce. It gets messy. So thats one tip, and maybe a bib because you're going to devour this. They have many locations but mostly in OC and LA counties, just wish they open one in Mission Viejo or even in San Juan Capistrano. But today drive wasn't that bad for a day before Thanksgiving, we took the toll road but if ya'll coming from San Diego right now, its hella traffic. Trio Tacos ($12) - This came with 2 crispy shell tacos with birria inside, and a larger soft shell taco with birria and some cheese. It was accompanied with some onions, cilantro, fresh cut limes, and 8 ounces of consome (a light beef broth). I was impressed with the quantity of beef. The quezabirria (cheese and birria taco) was massive and tasted so good with all that cheese oozing out and tender and flavorful beef. The crispy tacos also hit the spot, especially when dipped in the consome. Overall I was really impressed with the birria here as well as the quantity for the pricing. The best birria tacos with a drive thru omg sooo good. It's a little on the pricier side, but you get a whole combo + like 3 tacos and a drink. Their quesa birria tacos and consome is always so good and you don't see many authentic taco spots with a drive thru, so I definitely appreciate the convenience. I had the taco trio and my wife has the ramen. I almost fell asleep while happy dancing when eating my tacos. First time trying birreria! This place is quite easy to miss, I always turn too early at the market but it actually looks very road side and has a small parking lot. It specialises in birreria items which is a pretty good business model, and everything is in a takeout fashion. I thought birreria would be spicier, savory, and oily but to my surprised it taste like a beef tomato stew. So getting multiple items ended up tasting the same. Definitely recommend extra onion and cilantro as it adds the nice sweet crunch. The ramen was pretty decent if you like consumme, the noodles are a little thicker than top ramen. The dorado tacos were just rhe meat fried in corn tortillas and the queso ones have cheese. I like the queso ones. Their hot sauce is spicy but it has a distinct smoky wasabi like flavor ( pretty sure different pepper). The horchata comes in a large cup and is very sweet but light in flavor. For birreria this place does it well I feel like, i just learned its not my preference haha. The space is large and casual! Oh my goodness were we surprised when we had lunch here today. This humble little restaurant serves a spectacular birria. You can have it as a burrito, or a taco, or a bowl. It is all the same meat. When you come here you want to order the bowls. The broth is the star of this show! Such tremendous depth of flavor! You are going to be so impressed. The other stars are the corn tortillas! I've been meaning to come here and check this place out since it converted from the burger joint or whatever it used to be. To start the birria and consume here is really good for the location. I've had better personally better tasting better spots are around the area. In my opinion they were missing some flavor in the consume as if it was that tomato taste. Can't believe it's my first time trying birria! It's delicious! This spot serves delicious birria tacos and unique birria ramen! We got their ramen birria, trio tacos, and horchata. Everything was so so good! Trio tacos: came with two birria tacos and a quesobirria which was a birria quesadilla with consome. The tacos were crispy and the meat was so juicy and flavorful. My favorite was the quesobirria because it was loaded with so much cheese and meat and the consome gave it a nice flavorful flair. Definitely try out their quesobirria when coming here! Ramen birria: this was a really unique concept of ramen in the consome broth. I loved that it was loaded with so much juicy and tender meat. To me, that was the best part of this dish. The ramen noodles itself was mediocre since it was basically just instant ramen noodles, but the broth and the meat was so good! Their horchata drink was also really good. I really wanted to love the place but I couldn't!! My boyfriend and I even came hungry and ready to eat. The tacos dorados weren't crunchy and I'm not sure if it was just my batch but the tortilla shells came out stale, which ruined the entire taco experience for us. The quezabirria was enjoyable but nothing to rave about. Meat was tender but not super flavorful and add any cheese into something and you have a decent meal. Consume tasted one dimensional; I've had it at other restaurants and homemade and usually you really inhale the spices and feel like the meat and soup have been simmering for a long time but I found myself having to add an abnormal amount of sauces and other condiments to make up for the lack of flavor. I do have to say the ramen birria is a fun concept and I enjoyed having ramen texture in the consume but I believe other restaurants now have that same dish too so I'm not sure it's anything to go crazy about here. In fact the meat in the consume tasted a little flat, almost dry. Place has its own parking lot, a good amount of tables inside the restaurant, and the staff are efficient. They provide an abundance of sauces which is always nice. There's a steady line of customers it appears but unfortunately I'll have to try birria at another spot to see how it compares! read more
