The food and staff were excellent, and I had the best taco Birria of my life. You definitely have to try the taco with cheese and the ramen made with birria broth. They're absolutely amazing. The homemade spicy sauce elevates all the flavors, and the broth you dip your taco into brings everything together perfectly.

Birria burrito loaded with meat, it's great

Super quiet inside on a weeknight, so if you're looking for some comforting birria-based meals for lunch or dinner, this is your spot! Birria was very savory and drenched with that beautiful, tasty consomme. The chunks of shredded meat goes so well with just onions and cilantro, but they also provide some sauces that add a bit of kick. Kinda messy but worth it. Interior was clean enough for a fast food place. The ladies behind the counter were patient in answering our many questions. Parking lot was small but pretty much empty; it wasn't busy at the restaurant, so I'm sure that helped. The area itself is slightly janky, and we saw transients walk by or plop right next to the front door, so be cautious of your belongings and surroundings.

This has become a regular stop for lunch when I'm working in the area! Great bang for your buck!

A BIRRIA chain!! Get out of here!!! Totally fell in love with this establishment the moment I walked through the door. Clean, welcoming, great music and the lingering mouth watering aroma of consommé in the air. What else could you look for. Oh yeah, it's affordable and there's a robust portion size that makes it a great value. So how did it taste? Taco - I added cheese (peep the ooey gooey goodness) the shredded braised beef is well portion, seasoned and tender making every bite picture worthy as you pull away from the taco. There's a great crunch the way they sear the taco on the flat top. To my surprise, the integrity of each taco regardless the crunch or the amount of consommé, stayed in tact. The tacos come with red onion, limes, and cilantro with were a great addition and fresh bite. (I appreciate them not taking shortcuts here) The horchata - for $4 you get the fastest styrofoam cup you can grip with one hand. I'm a hot day, with spicy consommé (I added hot sauce) it was the perfect refreshing beverage with just the right amount of cinnamon. A must have!

Alright, let's get down to writing this review, of course as always, this isn't a paid review, this is genuine from me. I've heard left and right from co workers to strangers talking about Birrieria Guadalajara, their comsume and the quezabirria on how good it was. Well my fellow readers, I had to come to this place since over the past week my friend had a baby shower and I kid you not, they had this place catering there at the baby shower. Let me tell you something, it was BOMB DOT COM!!! So I had to come to the resturant to get the freshest tacos and comsume! I would like to thank Leo, our cashier for talking our orders today, very friendly and great customer services. This is my first time here at the restaurant, we got here around 3pm on a Wednesday, before thanksgiving and the place was empty. (Which is great for me because it wasn't overwhelming to be in line) there menu is pretty simple, I ordered the trio plate which has two super cruncy birria tacos and one quezabirria with consume, a large Dr. Pepper to wash it all down. I also got a hot sauce (Very spicy but oh so good) Comes with your order is cilantro, diced red onions, utensils and napkin on a separated clear bag, although I brought some wet wipes which is a must because of the sauce. It gets messy. So thats one tip, and maybe a bib because you're going to devour this. They have many locations but mostly in OC and LA counties, just wish they open one in Mission Viejo or even in San Juan Capistrano. But today drive wasn't that bad for a day before Thanksgiving, we took the toll road but if ya'll coming from San Diego right now, its hella traffic. I'll be coming back but not this week, but it's on my list of places to come again if I'm craving Birria tacos.

Still great service! They have a $2 taco now and rice and beans. Delicious, as always.

Birrieria Guadalajara is a restaurant that specializes in birria (stewed beef cooked for several hours). They offer their birria with various options including ramen, in tacos with or without cheese, as a torta, etc. I went with the trio tacos option. Trio Tacos ($12) - This came with 2 crispy shell tacos with birria inside, and a larger soft shell taco with birria and some cheese. It was accompanied with some onions, cilantro, fresh cut limes, and 8 ounces of consome (a light beef broth). I was impressed with the quantity of beef. The quezabirria (cheese and birria taco) was massive and tasted so good with all that cheese oozing out and tender and flavorful beef. The crispy tacos also hit the spot, especially when dipped in the consome. Overall I was really impressed with the birria here as well as the quantity for the pricing. The restaurant is clean inside and they have several booths to sit at. They also have their own private parking lot, which makes parking a breeze.

I eventually called him out because there was no reason to treat a paying customer that way. Everyone has stressful days, but that's not an excuse to be rude or mock customers for placing an order. The food may be good, but customer service matters just as much. I hope management addresses this because no customer should feel embarrassed or disrespected simply for ordering food.

We ordered two Baja Fish Burritos, what was supposed to be two California Burritos, and a churro. There was a mix-up with our order, but the staff was incredibly nice and ended up comping a California Burrito. In my eyes, the customer service was impeccable. The employees were constantly cleaning tables, picking up after guests, and helping everyone who came through the door. The atmosphere is very casual with a street-food vibe. If you don't want to wait for a seat, takeout, eating outside, or even enjoying your meal in your car are all good options. They also gave us complimentary churros in exchange for a review. The flavor was good, but the texture wasn't quite what we're used to. The inside was a little chewy and soft, whereas we prefer a crispier, hollow-style churro. As for the food, the Baja Fish Burrito was excellent--crispy fish with plenty of fresh vegetables. The California Burrito was also very tasty and packed with generous chunks of steak. The size of the burritos are pretty big. For the price point, service, and food quality, we would definitely come back.

Affordable price points - I understand this is a tough economy - HOWEVER I have heard the pricing can fluctuate between this gentrified version and other locations throughout traditionally lower socioeconomic areas - which is fine -- I get it - it's a nice flagship store - you're capitalizing on the nuances and novelty of it all- which again. Whatever -- I do however notice in the few weeks - as a regular weekly customer - the same exact items that I get have DROPPED IN QUALITY while simultaneously INCREASING IN PRICE!!! And we aren't talking about small cost of living increases - these are dabbling if not diving full fucking head first into price gouging. EG - my favorite Vanilla shake & mini churro combo that used to save me a dollar on if I buy the items individually ( I think it was $12-)15?) UP TO $17. No more mini churros. I don't even think I saw them on the menu anymore -- aka you're forced to pay for larger sizes and prices. . . Which one would think ok ... that's somewhat fine -- BUT NO. The smoothie I've been buying for over a year and a half now - ALMOST on a weekly basis - is so fucking WATERY. It's ricidiculous. It used to be so thick and cream and decadent. I've been wondering for the last month wtf is it a new employee -- has my shake been sitting here melting away the last 4-5 weeks? No. It's fresh off the blender and just thinner across the board. Such a shame. Same thing for my lovely Chicken Asado Verde Soup - WAS FUCKING AMAZING !!! And the price point was something like 32 ox for $12. I used to rant and rave with coworkers and friends that this soup is spectacular and although pricey at "$12" (for me) - I went it again over the months - and thought I want some delicious soup that taste like grandmas. I ordered it - I noticed the new slew of containers. Didn't think much. Glances at the prices - said I'll take the large - WHICH IS A NEW "family style" My $12 portion - SAME SIZE NOW - $32 (yes) THIRTY EFFING TWO DOLLARS. Call me a fat ass - but that CANNOT feed - maybe an Ethiopian or anorexic family - but for one moderately high BMI - American. Which I get everything is fucking super sized - but to see price points increase SIGNIFICANTLY - while decreasing quality - seems like a quick recipe for distaste that I hope whomever is managing the restaurant presto side of things - really advocates for the quality and fair price points that made this flag ship a store to love. I hate to bitch and moan - and I'm sure my volunteer group won't want to change our flexible situation - but I've began to notice people just bring outside food in - and have their meals with us. Which is fine - I might have to do the same - because come on - upping pricing. Lowering quality. It's like Matilda's father throwing sawdust in the engine. Be better. Anyways heed my warning - at those price points for *certain* premade items - just take your ass to Erewhon - at least I expect my ass is going to hurt when I leave.
