Went for lunch today. Multiple employees handled tortillas and other foods with no gloves, the lettuce was pink, the tins of food in the window looked old and untouched, nothing seemed fresh. The employees were nice enough and seemed otherwise efficient. I used to love this place, been ordering burritos here for years. But I think this has been my last visit. read more

Always on the search for a delicious breakfast burrito and came across here. We each got the small breakfast burrito but we should have just gotten a regular and spilt. However now we get to put whatever we want inside. No rice no beans. Bacon. Extra spicy and their creamy spicy mayo sauce I think it was called Baja sauce that was recommended by the server. Great choice! Overall, very happy with the breakfast burrito. So good that next time I'll just get the regular size! Server was great also, great recommendations and small talk. Horrible Customer service. Walked in and couldn't get a simple Hello. Not that I want a red carpet rolled out for me but with this economy I've become mindful on who I decide to give my business to. With customer service lacking in many establishments in this day in time I rather support those businesses who still prioritize excellent customer service. As a human I greatly appreciate a smile or at the bare minimum being acknowledged for walking through your doors. I walked in to place an order, nobody bothered to look up to acknowledge my presence. I waited for several minutes, I had two employees walk past me, even look at me in the eye and just disregard me and continue on. I could see everyone was "busy" but not one person bothered to even tell me "We'll be right with you" . There was a guy with an eyebrow piercing who looked poorly groomed preparing a burrito. Which his body language was dreading to prepare to the point of almost dropping it. There was a middle-aged woman who seemed to be arguing with a customer. There were two other mature gentlemen in the kitchen complaining about how fed up they were with their coworkers incompetence. I stood there exactly for 4 minutes until finally the woman working there approaches me and asks me " what do you want" . The unkept kitchen and dirty floors should have been my first queue to walk out of this restaurant. Horrible spot anybody reading my review please do not bother to come in here. Any establishment that lacks good management skills where they aren't able to properly implement proper customer service to their employees does not deserve my money. I've been coming to this store for many years ever since it opened but tonight will be my last time due to the worst and rudest experience ever!!! This white guy was the server and had the worst attitude and started by skimping on protein for both my taco and bowl. When he asked me for toppings, I asked for guacamole, and he only gave me less than spoonful for my bowl after telling me it was extra like 5 times! Not only that but he was scraping the residue at the bottom like he was too lazy to get a new container out. I told him usually I get a lot more than that But he rudely responded. That is all you get. This was the first time I've seen him working there, and I also asked him to put limes and salsa on the side but he put it on top of my bowl like an idiot. Maybe the guy was on drugs but he definitely didn't. This guy had a major attitude and thought he knew everything. To top it off he forgot to put my limes and salsa in the bag as I took it to go. They used to have the beyond meat, but no longer sell it. At least at this location they don't. They offer something called "mindful chick'n" instead and it is pretty good. Not as good as the beyond meat, but a close second. I ordered the mindful chick'n in my cali burrito. It was sooooooo GOOD! Definitely hit the spot. I added fajita veggies and passed on the sour cream. It was good. I just didn't eat it fast enough. It got soggy at the end. All good though. It was tasty. My boyfriend is a carnivore and he also ordered a burrito with mindful chick'n to try it out. He said it wasn't half bad. He ate his whole burrito with no complaints. This is my favorite spot for burritos However, the last few times I have seen a middle aged Latino employee wearing only one glove in his right hand and grabbing tortillas with his left hand without a glove on and he doesn't even care that customers are watching. Last time I saw him grab the tortilla for my burrito with his bare hand that same hand he probably uses to pick his nose or scratch his ass. Next time I see that shit I will go somewhere else. This is my go-to 5 star Chronic. I actually live closer to another location but this specific one is on my way home from work so I make a point to hit the Baker restaurant over the other. From the friendly set of brothers working the line in the evening to the others during the day diligently working to make sure your meal is exactly the way you want it, the service here is exceptional and always stands out. I always order a simple chicken burrito but the flavors always pop and I like that they use jack cheese instead of cheddar like the other spots. The biggest reason I come here at least once a week is because it feels good to support those who welcome you with a smile on their face. I cannot recommend this specific Chronic enough. The team is always super welcoming and genuine and that just makes the food taste even better! They also take great care to maintain the cleanliness of the facility by keeping the grill immaculate and the backsplash looking shiny and fresh at the end of the night. Awesome food, a welcoming atmosphere and pride in the hygiene of their kitchen: you can't ask for more from where you get fed. Doesn't look like much if you walk past this place but I recommend giving it a try. It's a little similar to Chipotle BUT I do think this spot is a better. The customer service was friendly and the food was good too! The area is a little small so parking is limited. You can park in the Target shopping center but it is a bit of a walk. Ordered a shrimp burrito from Chronic Tacos today and I wasn't satisfied with my burrito nor was I very upset with it either. I got myself the grilled shrimp & it had no seasoning, absolutely no flavor to the shrimp whatsoever. I've had grilled shrimp from other places that had some seasoning to it, but this was just so bland. I paid for extra meat and I didn't see it. I opened my burrito up (should've taken a pic) to see if all my ingredients I requested were put in and they missed on adding sour cream, and my extra meat I feel. I'm not sure how much shrimp is supposed to go in a regular burrito or how many pieces is extra, but I counted 6 shrimps. There was a ridiculous amount of baja sauce that I didn't appreciate, but the flavor of the rice was nice and along with the guacamole and black beans it was ok. It was simply put OK.
