    PDX Sampler
    Deborah W.

Stopped by in a group of three to get some items to go on a Friday around 12:30 PM. There weren't too many people in front of us waiting for food but because it seems like there was only one person working, service was quite slow. I tried the PDX SAMPLER. I loved the variety of the birria items. The flavor was great and I love how the consome was served in a little coffee cup. The items were quite heavy so the sampler ended up being more items than I could eat in one seating. I also ordered a HORCHATA which was delicious and help to cute down on some of the oiliness from the food. All in all, a great option for birria around the area.

This is still my go-to spot for birria tacos. The sampler is always a must order for me. I have been enjoying the birria nachos as well. I don't think I've had anything bad from here.

This was the PDX Sampler (Online) soggy and nothing like the images shown don't do your customers like this.

This was super disappointing. My food was just thrown into the box, with everything spilling out. The tortillas are normally put on the grill to add texture and help the tacos hold up, but unfortunately that didn't happen. Everything was soggy and falling apart. I'm not sure what changed, because the food used to be wonderful.

We got breakfast burritos to try out and they were actually tasty and pretty affordable! Jamaica was good too, just a bit tarte. Breakfast burritos $7/$8 depending on meat, I got a chorizo burrito and they have hashbrowns and eggs, cheese. I personally think they're missing sour cream or frijioles, and a good salsa verde, but that's my opinion. They only do red salsa here and I'm not a big fan. The service was friendly, and you can take your food to go or sit out on the benches outside since it's a food truck. Overall the food was good so we will definitely come back to try the birria in many varieties!

The tacos, in a mystery liquid which I can only assume is the consome I ordered but didn't receive

Not worth the money at all. I paid $34 for 6 quesatacos, 2 drinks, and a small cup of consome. I didn't receive the consome. The tacos were tiny and flabby and sopping wet. I had to ask for the drinks after I received the tacos because whoever was working there forgot them too. Don't waste your time or money going here, just go to Walmart and buy some ramen instead.

So my wife and I have been coming here since early this year (2026) and they have such good food. We have been addicted to the queso tacos and birrieria! We're from California so it's difficult to find delicious Mexican food that's "worth it" but,I've been eyeing this place ever since we moved here a few years ago. We finally had the chance to try the food (thank you wife!) and omg we've been missing out! The food is delicious, juicy, cheesy, and irresistible! Thank you guys for providing delicious food and s/o to the Horchata as well. It's the only one that feels authentic and made on site 10/10!! idk why the bad review saying it takes fake/unauthentic? Because it's anything but, out here in the streets of Beaverton. We will absolutely continue ordering from here. Thank you guys for the amazing food and quick service. Also shout out DoorDash, they seem to have deals with them quite often but, it's obviously cheaper if you walk up. Overall, a must buy if your craving some birrieria quesotacos & horchata

Clock wise. Spider taco. Vampiro and crispy.

Finally got to try this place. It's pretty legit. Traffic on 217 sucks so we were way late in picking up our order. I appreciate they took it over the phone. I hate it when places don't do that. I'm good for it. Come on. So let me take you on a journey of what we got and how it lasted the trip. Vampiro. So delicious however I can tell there are combos of textures that are just better fresh. A lot of the uniqueness gets lost if it's sitting. Not recommended if you aren't eating right away. The crispy. This held up better than I thought. Still delicious and crispy after sitting. Up there with one of the best crispy tacos. Spider taco. This was my favorite and I think if withstood the long wait the best. The tacos aren't cheap but they are definitely delicious so worth a splurge. Not sure where you're d get them otherwise. They also have fun drinks but check what's available.

I first learned of the wonderful magical thing that is Birria a few years back. To find this food cart named after this magical food - the ULTIMATE find. And it lived up to the hype. It's worth noting, it's a food truck in a Chevron parking lot. But they did a great job with the tables and mobile fire heaters! We ordered the PDX Sampler and an extra quesotaco (so we could each have one). The flavoring on the birria and consome was very well done. Not spicy, yet rich in layers of flavor. Cheese was liberally used, so I wouldn't recommend if dairy isn't your friend! But overall, it was a very tasty experience - highly recommend this food truck adventure!

Consome in a cup. And a great logo.

"It's the red food truck in the gas station parking lot on TV Hwy." Need I say more? Even on a cold, wet November evening, this spot was hopping, and pumping out steaming hot servings of hearty consome and a wide assortment of offerings including quesatacos, machetes, vampiros, mulitas and even ramen noodle birria. The PDX Sampler will give you a taste of their menu and leave you wanting more. Note: the pickled onions have some kick with habanero peppers mixed in. That will warm you up!

We really enjoyed heading to the Eastside to go here, got thrilled when they opened up on Hawthorn and mind blown excited when they opened on the Westside Birria is the French Dip of Mexican food and I am a total fan. I have had Birria at multiple places so far and by far I think this place has the best variety and version of it. The broth is hands down rich and flavorful and just deserves repeated dipping over and over and over and over until it is gone. I love the variety of Birria items they have from tacos, burritos, quesadillas, keto tacos plate or bowl options to pick from to keep things different but still get your Birria fill. I still have not tried the ramen which for sure I will next visit which should be soon. The staff is really friendly and the food is always quick. The prices are decent and the quality is top of the house. We have a lot of Mexican food carts in Portland but Birria has been a next level event in eating for me. P.S. you cannot miss their cool looking rigs they kind of stand out.

Spoiled carne asada meat. I got sick

Ordered through Uber Eats and i was missing half of my order. Not sure if the workers forgot it or the uber eats driver took it. Carne asada meat on my burrito was spoiled and i got sick. I dont know if it was the driver or the food truck but my tacos were missing.

One of the nicest taco trucks I've been to in the Portland metro area. Delicious tacos, a clear menu, no trouble communicating while ordering, lot of space to sit and eat and even for kids to run around nearby (under supervision- it's a parking lot but quite open). Will be our go-to truck for sure!

After seeing rave reviews on Yelp, we decided it's time for us to pay a visit since we are a big Birria fans. We have been sampling delicious tacos in the Beaverton/Hillsboro area for years, so we came with high expectations! The taco truck was in a Chevron lot, and was super visible with bright red exterior decoration and lights. We saw a covered sitting area with two heaters and decided to dine in since Birria tacos don't travel well. The line was understandably long, and we waited patiently to place our order. When we headed to the covered area, we found out both heaters had just ran out of propane, and everyone was huddling with beach towels or whatever they could find for warmth, especially for their little kiddos. We asked if they could restart the heaters but no action was taken while we were there because they said they were out of propane. (They were right next to more propane at Chevron, but ok) The wait time was decent, but it felt like forever in the bitter cold. Thankfully the food was ready just when my toes went numb, so we decided to finish it quickly that we can wrap it up. The food was decent. Everything was quite rich and loaded with spices. My horchata was creamy, it was delicious but I couldn't finish it. The Birria PDX sampler came with four different styles of tacos in almost anyway that you can imagine with Birria on/in them. Some crunchy, some soft, some loaded with cheese, but all are a juicy and yummy messy. As a Birria lover, I always bring some wet napkins to keep things clean, and I'd recommend you to do the same~ Overall, we liked their food. However, taking everything in consideration, we both agree we still prefer our go to taco spots because we felt more welcomed and the food suits our palates better. However, plz give it a try if you haven't, I'm curious to see how others' experiences compare to ours.

There are quite a few Mexican themed restaurants and food trucks within a mile or two. There is a large Mexican population living here and Mexican workers are all over the place. So to stand out a business would need to really separate themselves from the herd. That is, they need to stand out in a positive way. This place is a massive fail in that regard. I happen to enjoy Mexican cuisine a lot. I always appreciate being surprised by an amazing, tasty, reasonably priced, filling Mexican restaurant. There are several nearby neighborhood Mexican places that provide that experience consistently. This is not one of them. You will find unremarkable food here. Indifferent wait stall. A boringly average menu. Smaller portions at premium prices. Nothing to see here folks. This restaurant has had coupons in the local shoppers every week for decades. So when I decided to check this place out I showed up with one of those coupons. If I recall it was a coupon that took a dollar or two off the meal price if you spent more than a certain amount and ordered a specific set of items. So at checkout time they declined to accept the coupon because I ordered a medium drink and not a large. Huh? Rare for a business to use coupons to completely alienate new customers! Do I care about the two bucks that they chiseled out of me? No I do not. Would I ever patronize a business that is this out of touch with what good customer service is? No. Never been back. Never will. What the heck, Mazatlan has an unlimited supply of new customer prospects coming by so they don't need me, right? What a shabby outfit. YMMV.

He got two different salsas a red and a green and he got a side of pickled veggies. Which were jalapenos, carrots and onions. He got his order super fast and I said that's a small burrito lol but it was just the side of pickled veggies. But when we got home he said WHOA this burrito is huge!!! He couldn't eat it all in one sitting. He ate the green sauce and said it was one of the best hot sauces he'd ever had. I licked the lid and he wasn't wrong.
