Environment: It was a small area but they used the space well. It didn't feel crowded. Great lighting and I loved the colors of the chairs! Staff: very friendly! Since they opened not too long ago, they wanted feedback and were very receptive and kind. They told us that they've been perfecting these dishes for numerous years before deciding to open up a restaurant. They're still perfecting it but I think it's good! They said that they buy high quality ingredients so the dishes can be as authentic as possible. Instead of taking short cuts, they simmer, make, and rather spend a bit more time in preparing the food for their customers. So heads up: most of the food is made to order in order to keep the quality and freshness of their dishes. Please be patient and you'll enjoy some amazing foods! 1. Hand beaten coffee: the coffee was rich and beating it by hand made it very smooth and creamy! It was delicious and I loved the flavor. They made it very nice and frothy and you want to encore it! 2. Milk tea: this is by far the best milk tea ever! It tastes closest to Hong Kong milk tea in Hong Kong! Fragrant, strong, rich, creamy, the tea flavor was amazing! It had a Cantonese saying "golden flavor!" Other places who say they make HK milk tea, sorry, this place wins :) 3. Roselle & Hawthorn and smoked plum tea: I didn't expect to like it as hawthorn and plum tea were new to me. However, it worked really well! It was a tad sour but it was super refreshing! Drinking this with the savory dishes paired really well! 4. BBQ Pork (Char siu): this was FIRE! I've had BBQ pork at many Asian places but this was incredibly tender! They use pork neck meat. It was fragrant, tender, and it had a nice bite and texture, too. The sauce was amazing and it created that nice 'stickiness' like good BBQ pork should! Usually pork neck meat costs more but they're willing to use this type of cut so everyone can enjoy some amazing BBQ pork. 5. Fish filet congee. The texture of the congee was lovely. It wasn't too watery nor too thick. The fish was not the typical white fish you have in Asian restaurants. It had a nice snap and it was fun to eat. It was delicious and had some dried shredded scallops in there too which added more flavors. 6. Pan fried shrimp and pork dumpling (siu gao 生煎水餃): They make the dumplings after you order. I've never had pan fried siu gao before. You rarely get to order this type of dumpling, anywhere! It was crispy on the outside and bouncy on the inside. There was wood ear inside which had a lovely texture, a little snap which was great. It wasn't mushy like some other places. It also came with cucumber salad which had a kick but the sauce was delicious if you can handle the heat! 7. Tangerine peel beef meatballs (陳皮牛肉球): This is made to order and it needs to be steamed so please be patient. Tangerine peel is a delicacy, the 'older' it is the better it gets (and more expensive). The owner used 7yr old tangerine peels so it is more fragrant and distinct. The meatball was tender, too, very different than frozen Chinese meatballs at other dim sum places. 8. Siu mai: these are also made to order and made from scratch! They have five in each order and the texture of it was really nice. It had a nice pieces of shrimp mixed with the meat. 9. Chili hand shredded chicken: this dish is usually over $20 at other places and very little portion. This place felt like you had an entire chicken (haha). There was a lot and though it was spicy for me, the flavor was good. It's not just heat and salt but it had other flavors in it, too! The purple onion added a nice crunchy texture and the sweetness of the purple onion complimented the chicken and the spiciness, too. 10. Wonton noodle soup: another great dish with great portions. They simmer the soup for 4 hours or so and it was very flavorful, even without msg. The wonton was a good size, almost like the ones you can eat in Hong Kong- authentic! The noodles were good, too, and most importantly, the soup base! The soup base had chicken, pork bones, dried scallops, etc. 11. Braised beef brisket and tendon noodle soup: same type of noodles but instead of wonton, you get braised beef brisket and tendons. SUPER TENDER! They had generous amount of meat and it had a good balance of the brisket and the tendons. Each piece was tender and good chunks, too. I'm glad I went with my parents so we could try all these foods! We of course couldn't finish it all so we can enjoy it again as leftovers! It was all delicious and I appreciated how authentic the dishes were and the quality! Sure, this place may cost a bit more but you can really taste the difference because of the authentic and high quality ingredients. I think it's worth it! I hope they keep it up with the consistency! I'm so glad there is a Cantonese restaurant in the Beaverton area!

Good food all around! Lots of variety for fussy eaters too:)…read moreOnly draw back...no dining room some food is meant to be eaten when it comes right out of the kitchen.

Shocking... I have ordered from them for years. In recent years I discovered a favorite thing to…read moreorder is an appetizer platter because it's a little bit of everything - fried shrimp, spring rolls, BBQ pork, crab puffs, and short ribs. I also order their lobster puffs which are a wonton wrapper purse filled with lobster, crazy good sauce and a touch of shredded carrot. This time I was in shock. All the meat was so overcooked that the pork was gray. The short ribs were almost charcoal cinder... the burned meat was next to all the other appetizers which, well, ruined the entire thing. So, I figured at least the lobster puffs were separate and looked amazing. I bit into one and it wasn't foul... it was just very confusing because it tasted completely different... I looked at the other half and was like wait... that's not lobster... that's a shrimp... so, I thought maybe it was an accident one off... nope, so apparently they switched to shrimp and are still charging for lobster... WOW. Let's say the restaurant ran out of lobster... I could completely see letting a customer know. That was not what happened here and as a customer, I am not a fan of being lied to especially in a world where people have allergies to proteins. Thankfully I'm not allergic to shrimp. I am allergic to being lied to.

I was surprised how big their menu is, and that it spans from Cantonese dim sum to Sichuan spicy dishes. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. The dim sum is your typical standard fare. They make a good pan fried noodle dish and congee. Of the dim sum items, I think I liked the har gow the best. The rest of the items I think they could use some better seasoning. Service wise they do need a few more carts going when it gets busy. The last time we went, my mom just up and walked over to the cart that was on the other side of the room to get some items. Or just switch to the "pencil and order on demand" method. Saves some of the service hassle. There are some nice banquet sized tables towards the back of the dining room, with lazy susans and such. If you're not looking to go east side for dim sum, this is a suitable place.

It felt very traditional, especially with the lazy Susan's and being able to eat family style Chinese dinner. Every dish we ordered was large and perfect for a large family. Very flavourful, too! This Saturday morning, we went for dim sum with a few friends. I loved that they had carts going around. We arrived right at opening with many other guests, but were promptly serviced. We're all from more Asian areas so it's so nostalgic to sit and speak Cantonese. I was impressed with all of the food. They don't have as many options as other restaurants, but they do have all the basics (har gow, siu mai, cheung fun) that you need. And they were incredibly tasty!! The egg tarts especially were so perfect and flaky. I'm excited for them to become more popular.

I went over to get their Hamburger Week special from last year that they had on for just three days on their menu again. It is a delicious burger, Angus beef with crispy fried onion rings and a Hong Kong-style pepper sauce. Just every bite so delicious that it doesn't even need any cheese! Go and say hello to your new neighbors and or just drive from the other end of town to show them some love. The rice was seasoned and on top there were lots of the green onion and ginger sauce. There were also 2 other sauces too, one was spicy chili and the other was soy sauce. The chicken was nice and tender but they shouldn't have poured the green onion and ginger sauce on top for customers because it was TOO SALTY! And it made a pretty big puddle of oil between and at the bottom of the rice bowl.

There are booths where you order food to come cooked, and then the hot pot tables where you order the ingredients and cook them yourself. It's very interactive, and they have plenty of meats, vegetables, tofu, dumplings and noodles. You can choose the broth you want at the beginning and they'll bring out the pot. Each pot is split in 2, so you order one regular broth and then a spicy broth. They also have a veggie broth, which I really enjoy. You can grab things from the salad bar, and they have different sauces/oils you can take and add to your soup. You're able to really customize the experience. It's a fun little experiment you get to do with your friends and family. The space itself is busy with customers walking around and staff brining drinks and food, but it's not crazy. We joke that the steam from the soup is a nice facial treatment. Lol. You can end the night with an ice cream cone and lollipop in the waiting room. I've been a few times, and I will say the first time is overwhelming with trying to figure out what to do, but after that you get more confident and interested in curating a soup that's to your taste.
