La Chabelita Taqueria has quickly become one of my favorite, hidden gems in Beaverton. It is tucked inside of a Mexican market on a random street aka you wouldn't be able to find it on your own unless you really went looking for it. The front of the market sells a lot of Mexican related products and towards the back has the taqueria. You can find the seating and menu in the restaurant section but you actually order at the front with the cashier. I only see female workers (cashier and chefs) when I go and they all happen to be very sweet. What I love most about their food is that not only does it taste amazing but also very fresh and clean. I've been to other places where I just get grease at the bottom of my burritos but this place always does it right. Their burritos are a solid choice and I've also tried their enchiladas. I make it my goal to try something new each time I go because I'm never disappointed with any of their dishes!

Thanks to my fellow Yelpers, I discovered this gem! Wanted a fast lunch while running errands in this area and searched for great street tacos. Without Yelp, I would never know La Chabelita existed because it's tucked away on a backstreet that I would never drive down. The front is a small market with a well stocked pantry of Mexican staples. Since I Cook Mexican cuisine, I was already happy! In the back is a small dining area with a view 8th the kitchen where the ladies are doing their magic. The large menu is on the board and covers tacos, burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas, tacos birria & consommé, chilaquiles, tamales, sopa and more! Sides of roasted jalapeño, rice and chips & salsa also available. You order and pay at the market side which is a great idea. This way the cooks don't have to handle money which Requires constant hand washing. Food is fresh and delicious! Since it was my first time there I went with carnitas tacos and ate there as I wanted to eat them while they were hot. Served on two freshly made tortillas, which makes all the difference, the meat was tender with those signature crispy bits. Topped with chopped onion, cilantro and a wedge of lime, they were perfection. I ordered three and two would have been fine for lunch but of course I managed to get the third one down! I'm in this area a lot and will definitely be back to try out more menu items.

This tiny restaurant is hidden in a small square beside all the hoopla of Cedar Mill crossings. You enter into a store selling a lot of Mexican snacks - chips, candy, drinks etc. Further in is a small restaurant with 6-7 tables. The kitchen looks really big though and the menu is pretty big too. You place your order at the store front check-out and then take a seat in the restaurant out back. You bus your own tables. We ordered some tacos and flautas de Papa. Tacos were delicious. The beans and rice that came with the flautas were some of the best I've ever had. Place is clean, service is quick. I'm going to spread word about them for sure.

I can't tell you how many times that I had passed this little market and the taqueria and wanted to check it out. However I always ended up forgetting about going after running a bunch errands around town. We googled the market to check the menu for the taqueria inside and found out it had pretty strong Yelp ratings. We decided to make a trip to try it out on a cold and rainy evening. The market is divided into 3 sections. When you enter, you will find the grocery section with a small variety of Mexican ingredients and some produce. As you continue, you will see the kitchen, and finally the surprisingly spacious dining area around the right side. If you are unsure about what to order, you can go to the dining area first to check out the big menu at the kitchen counter, but then you'll need to head back up to the grocery check out counter to place your order. Because was cold and raining, we decided to order Caldo De Res (beef soup) and Quesa Birria tacos with consommé. Both items tasted really good, but I especially loved the Caldo De Res as it was piping hot and super delicious. The beef was tender while the soup broth was savory, flavorful, and filled with hearty vegetables like carrots, cabbage, zucchini, radish, and other greens. It was so tasty, I kept sipping the broth even though I was getting quite full! The ladies running the market and the taqueria were very friendly and sweet, which made me less intimated while dining in such an authentic setting. Overall, we were impressed with this this little gem and we will be coming back soon!

There's something about a restaurant located inside a grocery/convenience store that gets my attention. They are usually pretty good and worth a try. I'm glad that I came here as the food is great and the prices are also reasonable. I enjoyed my birria soup (a good portion with a good amount of protein) and assortment of tacos. The portion size and quality of flavors were all there. The interior is a bit small, but that's ok. They also have some outdoor seating. Overall, it was a place I would come back to very soon.

Some of the best Mexican food I've had! The restaurant itself is located in the back of a market and you'll order your food at the register of the market. So far, I've had the chicken enchiladas and carne asada burrito and they were both fantastic. Don't let the name fool you! Their menu goes well beyond just tacos. The shredded chicken is particularly flavorful and all of the vegetables taste fresh. Service is always prompt and the staff are kind. This will soon be a regular spot for myself and I can't wait to try their other menu items!

La Chabelita is a little place in the back of a grocery. The menu offers pretty much anything in the Mexican food category you could think of. There are a few tables, but not upscale at all. I had the fish tacos which were the best I've ever had and the biggest I've ever had, packed with fish and condiments with an excellent sauce. They seem to do mostly takeout, which I will do next time. There is no table service. You go to the back to look at the menu on the wall, go back up front to place your order then when it's ready you pick it up at a counter at the kitchen. Great for a quick, casual meal.

Yummy Yummy and beyond Yummy! Appearances are not always what they seem especially given it's surrounding, but I will leave it at that. Small Mexican convenient store with a hidden food restaurant with seating inside and outside to serve delicious authentic Mexican cuisine. Pork carnitas tacos with onions, cilantro and green salsa... makes mouth water thinking about the 1st bite. AND their customer raved favorite Quesabirrias con Consomé braised beef seasoned nicely and then dipped in their consomé before each bite! You need to try it! - would love to hear if you like it.

    These are their fajitas

Had food delivered from this place and the food was awful. The fajitas were just dried slabs of meat with iceberg lettuce and beans. The shrimp tacos reeked like it had been sitting out for days and rotting and the chicken tacos the same. Only took a few bites of the meat before I threw everything out. God I hope I don't get food poisoning.

weird little hole in the wall in the back of the Mexican market, but amazing food! they have a huge menu, including fajitas, tacos, burritos, etc. I had Carnitas, Asada, and El Pastor tacos... They were all good but the Al Pastor was the star of the show ! My husband had the Asada burrito and said it was one of the besties had. I can't wait to go back and try more things.

Small place, in back of a little fiends. Great food and terrific people. Great value. I'll come back and try more, but I enjoyed the sope de pollo and quesabirrira I had today. PS. The habanero salsa is the bomb!

I wanted pizza. He wanted a burrito. He had mentioned wanting to try this food truck so I looked it up on Yelp (obviously!) And got the address. We pulled up and there was one person ahead of him so I figured it would take a while. He got a Carne Asada Burrito. He got two different salsas a red and a green and he got a side of pickled veggies. Which were jalapenos, carrots and onions. He got his order super fast and I said that's a small burrito lol but it was just the side of pickled veggies. But when we got home he said WHOA this burrito is huge!!! He couldn't eat it all in one sitting. He ate the green sauce and said it was one of the best hot sauces he'd ever had. I licked the lid and he wasn't wrong. The flavor was so rich and there was heat but it wasn't overwhelming the flavor. Very very good. He didn't try the red sauce so I didn't get to try it. The pickled vegetables though. OM*G they are THE BEST I've ever tasted. Such good acidity and flavorful as *^%# YES this stuff was amazing. He said next time he's going to pack the box full of them lol. Frankly I'd go there JUST for those veggies and hot sauce. He said 5 stars GREAT value and great flavor. So we will absolutely be back!!! Oh and next time (sorry y'all) I'll get pictures!!!
