I placed a DoorDash pick up order that was suppose to be ready at 12:37pm and I had to wait an extra half an hour and still didn't get my full order. The last time I had visited this place was over a year ago when it was much smaller and served a limited menu of fair Indian food. Well it has changed a lot! They have expanded in size by taking over the spot next door. The menu is now very extensive including north and south Indian items as well as indo-Chinese favorites. They also serve a daily lunch buffet that seems to be the biggest one in the area. If the crowds are any indication of the popularity of this place, its the favorite Indian restaurant in the area. I haven't tried the buffet yet but the food I ordered to go was delicious. The lady at the counter was very nice and willing to answer all my questions. To say it was busy is an understatement. Went back and forth between 2- and 3-star for this place but based on the fact that we wouldn't go back I'm going with 2. The people were very nice, and the food was prepared to order and we didn't get sick... But I'm trying to come up with other pros and I just can't. We ordered 2 appetizers, Mirchi Bahji and Veg Pakora, and both were inedible. Thick rock-hard batter over barely anything, almost impossible to find any veg in the thick batter, fried until you literally could not bite or chew it. We threw both appetizers away. I ordered a plain dosa, and they put it in a styrofoam container which I opened as soon as I got the food but the dosa was already completely soggy and nasty. With it came a decent chutney, no complaints there except just the one kind, I'm used to getting 2-3 different ones with a dosa. Ordered idli sambar and the idli was fine but the sambar was watery and bland, yuck. Ordered butter naan and cheese kulcha which were the only things I liked out of our entire order, those were good. Hubby ordered chicken tikki masala which was okay but bland and came with lumpy dry rice. To add insult to injury, this place is like 2 blocks from Chennai Masala, which has EXCELLENT food in a nice sit-down restaurant and the prices are about the same. Highly recommend that you skip Biryani Corner and go to Chennai Masala instead! read more

A friend of mines suggested this place for Indian food and I'm glad she did because it was delicious! Large portion size (one plate is enough for two people) and very flavorful. We ordered a mango lassi, masala dosa, and chicken dum biryani. The mango lassi had a very good balance of sweetness from the mango and sourness from the yogurt. The masala dosa was crispy, flavorful and just melts in your mouth. The chicken dum biryani was spicy, savory and full of spices! We are definitely glad we came here for dinner! read more

Based on some good experience of their food at a friend's place, I decided to try them again. The food is good Except they decide what you should eat irrespective of what you order. Ordered a saag paneer dish and was given whatever yellow paneer dish they had available at that time. Saag paneer is supposed to have saag bit it was a yellow template Indian gravy dish. Food tasted good but was not what I asked for. When I called to see if this was a mistake, the person on the other end pretty much hung up on me. So taking away a star for the stellar customer service. I really want to give this place a good rating given the food quality is quite good but unfortunately it doesn't matter if you don't get to decide what you are eating. After a long wait, we headed to much talked buffet in town from Biryani Corner. This possibly is the biggest buffet spread in an Indian restaurant most likely. We reached there early which helped as the lunch crowded started to rush in soon after that. Fish tawa fry, chicken Vepudu , chilli chicken and chicken kebab were the non veg starters for the day. All of those were good. Fish (I believe it's pomphret) especially exceeded expectations. Chicken Masala was awesome. Biriyani and other curries were okay.. roti/ naan could have been better. I was eating my chicken tika masala with rice when I felt a weird crunch and tasted something I've never tasted before. I immediately spit it out and began inspecting it. It looks like a shell/back of a cockroach and legs. I'm assuming it's a cockroach because of the shape and size of it. I googled it to be sure and now I am convinced. Very mediocre food. After being used to the quality and variety of food in the SF Bay Area, this was severely lacking. Tried the chicken 65 biryani, butter chicken, saag chicken and garlic naan. The biryani was bland but tasted better the next day after it had soaked in the flavors. Also, it didn't come with any raita and salna/ curry. We only tried one thing (Schezwan Fried Rice) from here but it was great! We called ahead and it was ready to go when we got there, but it was an off time so I don't know if that's the norm or not. I think this place has new owners. The buffet is bland. There is not enough salt and the chicken curries were watery. Yuck. There was this lady that every time she wanted a piece of the dessert, she will stand and take it with her fingers. The buffet has a note that says" Wear a mask when in the serving area". No one was wearing one when they were serving themselves. We came here because it was the only place with a buffet but it is NOT worth it. We miss the previous owner's delicious recipes. This place has hidden gems that you can only discover if you try out enough of their dishes. There is no doubt their biryani is amazing. But the two other hidden gems are: Chicken Lollipop - Haven't seen these babies on menus of Indian restaurants. The lollipops are amazing. Only complain is the chutney served with them needs to be more authentic and not Ching's Schezwan Chutney. Andra Goat Curry - This is absolute perfection. The food was good, but what we noticed was that some of their popular dishes like the curry leaf chicken, tandoori chicken, tandoori roti were just not being replaced. The trays were empty for the entire hour we were there. And their vegetarian options were extremely limited, and the most disappointing thing was that the price was same for both veg and non veg options - $19!! We ordered paneer masakali and veg biryani. Paneer was hard as a brick, biryani was mostly rice with traces of carrots and potato. Raita amount was good enough for maybe 1/5th of the biryani amount. Salna was decent. Food quality has gone down drastically compared to earlier days. That was my last order from this place. read more

Biryani House is by far the best place for Indian buffet. So much of variety for veg and meat lovers! You definitely can taste fresh halal meat. Super flavorful gravy. Salads fruits were fresh and served well. Loved all the appetizers .. Three types of dessert and all three were really delicious . Went for the first time on New Years as I was visiting the area. Pretty fast service. The samosas were delicious and came with two sauces. The tikka masala was spicier than I expected (I thought it would be creamy and sweet) but there was lots of chicken and rice and paired well with the garlic naan. Got lots of food for the price so I'm very pleased. read more
