It's sad to see how these small businesses are being overshadowed by delivery services and people not eating out anymore. We stopped in for lunch while in the area and I was sceptical because of the low rating, but the food was delicious. One man who came in for a doordash order was giving bad attitude because the kitchen was taking a little longer than anticipated. I say give them some slack. Going back to the food, we ordered butter chicken, naan, a mango lassi, and chicken tikka. They were delicious. So flavourful, and we've tried dozens of Indian restaurants in Chicago. The mango lassi was very sweet, slightly tart with the signature yoghurt taste, it was delicious. The naan (regular) was buttery, squishy, and so flavourful. The water is self serve, so are the other drinks in the fridge. Overall, very nice place. Some folks don't like when restaurants aren't fake-over-the-top-nice, but the workers were quick, and gave us an extra naan on the house. We were the only ones dining in. It seemed quiet, like not many people stopped in during the day. Only a couple delivery driver people to pick up to-go orders. Come eat here, it's quiet and delicious. It's worth it! read more

I could have sworn I'd reviewed this place already, but stores do tend to move in and out of this strip mall. They have a menu board and a three or four page menu; I'm vegetarian so I ordered from that section. The mango lassi is self-serve, so I got hijacked by the kheer and Double Ka Meetha (bread pudding). I asked what spices were used (cardamom?) and the server had no idea, telling me it to check the menu. I also ordered vegetable samosa and vegetable aloo gobi, requesting mild (I'm non-Desi, used to Indo-Pak cuisine but thought I remembered this place being spicy). Ambiance is basic; there's no one at the counter until a customer walks in, and they were playing someone reciting the Koran on the television (could be soothing or annoying). The aloo gobi was a bit spicy for me: it was tasty enough, generous on the cauliflower, less so on the potato, and is often the case, generous to serve for more than one meal. The rice was very generous, probably a cup and a half, long grain and appeared to have saffron in it. The kheer was bland, not unpleasant, and a little gummy, with no discernible rice grains; the pudding was extremely sweet. Service was fast, though they forgot my samosa. Quite serviceable, though more of a spot for a quick bite, and do check your takeout orders. read more

This is an INCREDIBLE biryani spot!!! Truly authentic Hyderabadi biryani, feeling like home cooked food. The chicken was perfectly cooked in the rice, with a nice kick to it and the eggplant and raita on the side was to die for ! The customer service was excellent and they were very attentive. The restaurant is a no frills hole in the wall that will give you a great meal, at a decent price. Portions are HUGE and well prepared! We are in town visiting and expected a "Biryani Pointe" location to be reliable but food was terrible, we got kadai chicken curry and palak paneer. Palak paneer had very bad flavor like mustard seed was burnt. Both were very salty. With a couple sides and DoorDash this was almost $75, I wouldn't eat it again even if it were free. Also they advertise $1 naan side but don't have option in DoorDash to add naan on most of the curries so you get stuck paying $5 or $6 for it, it's false advertising. read more

So we decided to go here because the mister stated he'd been with a friend and their fish was delicious. I'm a big fan of fish, and I really wanted to try it so we landed here. The food we ordered here was excellent in taste. Every item we ordered, from the fish fry to the dum gosht were excellent. The dum gosht was flavorful and rich, and tasted excellent with the buttered naan. But the fish, OH THE FISH, was phenomenal. The masala (blend of spices) on the fish was absolutely delicious, and it was fried to a crispy perfection on the outside without the delicate meat of the tilapia drying out. The meat was beautifully cooked, and glistening inside. The chai was apparently quite good (I didn't have any), and the Ras Malai was on point, however, it tasted wayyyy too similar in taste to Nanak's Ras Malai for us to believe it was made in-house. Overall the taste was good, however, I took one star away for portion size, and more could EASILY be done (with minimal expense) to spruce up the insides. Overall, good experience. read more

I called the restaurant with my concerns and was passed around to 3 different employees and was told they are fasting so they cant taste the food..They asked I bring the food back and I explained I live 30mins from there and if I could get a refund, they insisted I bring the food back, I told them i will bring the food back on Friday when I go back to work,, I was told no since the food will be bad at that point, With no resolution and the employees being extremely rude, they hung up on me. We ordered the Butter Chicken (After years of hearing how good the dish was) Shish Paneer Masala & the Bread pudding for dessert! These people are ridiculous I spent 73 dollars in a family pack chicken 75 biryani through Uber and it has a rotten smell and taste there are tiny bubbles forming clearly it's extremely bad. I called the resturant and the owner had the audacity to say we don't replace or refund next time don't order. This is so unprofessional, for last two years I've been a consistent customer getting the same order every week and this is what he said. I would highly recommend and advise the viewers of this review to not done there, having to take money and sell rotten product is unethical and unfair earning free money which we work hard to make and buy food is not worth. Unlike previously, food standards and taste is going low day by day. The biryani I ordered was to my shock dry white rice with almost no masala and chicken pieces in it had no meat, as if skeleton. I had also ordered gravy but it was also tasteless. on the contrar, their prices are higher than other high scaled Asian restaurants in the area. They do not even give rice with gravy, or onions / limes on the side. Instead on asking, owner gave me rude answer that they need to meet the markets' rising prices. I'm sure owner doesn't want to save his expenses by giving depreciated food standards and taste to their customers. That too with comparatively higher prices than other restaurants in the area.
