Small size inside limited tables. Service was good. They also have kiosk to order. All veg options and do not close in afternoon which is big plus. Meetha sp pan - 5/5 - pan bar which makes pan love really good. Made it less sweet for my taste. Bombay sandwitch - 4.5/5 - good taste Batata bonda - 4/5 - more like potato vada Vada pav - 3/5 - not fan of big bread and need better lasan chutney Street chaat options so little limited on what one can eat.

Just couple sandwiches, there was much more, just didn't have time to take more pics.

First time at Paanwalla. They went above and beyond, not just the service but the food was fantastic, happy to spread a good word for this new place. If you're in the area, highly recommended place for locals and outsiders. I drove almost an hour away to get the food taste. It met the the expectations. Hope they keep the quality going. So far so great

This place has become my recent favourite and go to place for snack/dinner. It is quite small to accommodate multiple groups, though I have always taken pick up order. The staff are very kind and friendly and remind me of paanwalla/ bhaiya in India and once they were generous to give us a free paan while waiting. My personal favourites here are the Chilli cheese toast (newly added item last week and the best ever ), veg hot dog sandwich and the Bhel puri. They also added aloo tikki burger recently to the menu. The burger was great but could have little more cheese and the sauces. Hope they keep up the standards and continue serving well.

    Sweet Paan!

When I look at the menu, I try to look for dishes that I've never had. I know our waiter suggested butter chicken and chicken tikka masala, but those are the most popular safe dishes for non Indians. I say safe dishes because your average American that walks in, is not going to order something that he/she doesn't know what it is. We ordered chicken 65, kashmiri naan, spinach chicken, kadhai lamb, and tandoori shrimp. Just a FYI, the water bottle(s) that come to your table are $2 each. They're not free. Portion sizes are average. Prices were fair. Service was great and attentive. Usually, there would be parking in the front and back. However, for some reason they were both full and there were barely any customers inside the restaurant. You can also park at the nearby parking garage (top level). That's a 2 min walk. -chicken 65 5 - this reminds me of a Chinese dish but I can't remember. I'm talking about the texture when you're eating it. As an Indian appetizer, it was delicious and would pair well with rice. Very addicting to eat. -kashmiri naan 5 - it has a mild sweet taste that is good with savory dishes. A mixture of dried fruits, coconut, and maybe nuts. -spinach chicken 5 - chicken was very tender and the sauce was flavorful. Very safe dish to eat if you're not that adventurous. -kadhai lamb 5 - the sauce has a more bold flavor than the spinach chicken. The lamb was very good. -tandoori shrimp 5 - Just a warning but this is kind of spicy especially for those that can't handle spicy foods. I like that the shrimp are prawn size and they were very tasty.

The chickpea stew, puffy bread, and samosas were my favorite! The sauces were all delicious as well. What a wonderful little gem! I wish I lived nearby. I would be here every week. We had the opportunity to meet the chef. He was so humble and friendly. We told him how much we enjoyed the food, and he seemed genuinely pleased to hear it. They have absolutely no intention to satisfy customers, ambiance is well just tables and chairs with some posters. I have been to many restaurants where food is not that great but the customer service is top notch and for that I give them credit, but at this place they turned out every small request we made for food for our small kid, we didn't ask for anything for free, we asked to customize, which they straight turned down, they have nothing that is kid friendly here. The man working there was friendly and knowledgeable, and the restaurant was clean with plenty of open tables to choose from. My only suggestion for improvement is that I'd love to see additional paneer options for the lunch special- I would have absolutely ordered 2 different paneer entrees, but I had butter chicken for my second choice and it was also delicious! Tip: parking in DT Wheaton can be crazy sometimes. If you're planning to arrive here at a specific time, definitely give yourself extra time to find parking and walk.

Parking can be tricky especially during weekends but, there is plenty of street parking and garages close by. The place was empty but we did come in for a late lunch. We did see a few people coming and going for carry out orders too. The restaurant is kept clean and staff members were very helpful and kind. They did try to upsell items but were respectful when I declined. I decided to go with 1 of their quick combos, Combo B. It comes with 2 entrees, rice, and naan. For ~$13 this is a great option to try a variety. I tried the chicken tikka masala and the saag paneer. It was flavorful and delicious. Portion is generous and I could have brought home left overs but couldn't resist. I ate everything in 1 sitting.
