After going to BN&BB as a loyal customer for almost a year, today will be my LAST day of giving them my business! I experienced an unfortunate situation of being humiliated, accused of theft and defamation of character. During my visit, a customer came back hysterically looking for her sunglasses. It so happens that she was sitting in the chair next to me before I was seated to get serviced. The nail tech kindly stated that they did not see a pair of sunglasses left behind but that they would check the cameras. Instantly I thought this was a great idea, as 1) I wished for her to find her sunglasses and 2) that I would NOT be accused or associated. Unfortunately, the staff continued to hover over my shoulder and laptop bag throughout my service making me feel extremely uncomfortable. The owner even went as far as sitting in the empty seat next to me, pretending to take a call, placing his head on the table (kind of what you'd do if you weren't feeling well or cheating on a test). Yet, it didn't stop there. I took the liberty to go to the restroom after my manicure, leaving my laptop bag on the floor unzipped as I just knew they wanted to peek inside my bag. Low and behold, I see the owner through the door reflection, opening my bag without permission. A complete invasion of my privacy. As it left me feeling uncomfortable and disrespected, I made it a point to mention it to the owner and staff. What initially started off as discrediting what they did wrong, they later agreed to their wrongly accusing me of theft. Did they see the sunglasses in my bag, you ask? Absolutely not. However, the lack of professionalism on how this was handled has permanently affected my impression of the salon, and I do not plan to return or recommend it to others. Beauty is pain ?? I'm new to getting my nails done and got the dip mani and gel pedi and didn't realize how painful it was going to be ! I think it was because the lady was literally on FaceTime for the whole manicure ! At one point she was literally filling my skin (Bottom middle finger) She just kept using the green oil to hid the blood so I couldn't tell how bad they were until I left. My nails came out nice, but my fingers look like they went through a wood chipper ! Later that day I went to the gym and had tennis shoes on and my toes hurt so bad because she carved away at those too ! The 3 pictures are how they looked the day after. This place is extremely unprofessional, do not go here. The lady at the front has an attitude, and the workers have an attitude as well. They have their times listed as closing time 8pm, but that's also depending on their mood. I went in at 6:30 for a simple regular nail polish. Not gel, no dip, just polish and nail cut. The lady at the front already had an attitude upon my arrival, then she said I'd have to wait to be seen. I said no problem. After waiting about 10 minutes. One of the nail techs, I suppose the one that was gonna be assigned to me, came up to the front desk and very loudly went off on the front desk staff complaining that I had been added to the schedule. Completely unprofessional knowing I was listening. Then she came to ask me what I'm getting done and proceeded to say that she has plans and to bad so sad. Not a "sorry" not a "you can get your service done with this person instead" nope. Just I have plans , screw you. I understand everyone has their own plans and life, but if a salon has a listed closing time of 8:00pm, I don't see how in their right minds they think it's acceptable to turn away a paying customer at 6:30pm. With such unprofessional ima on top of that, as if the mail the plans are my problem. If the closing time is 8pm, you should have a nail tech available. This review probably wouldn't have been written if their attitude was at least apologetic or professional but they are the most unprofessional, immature group I've ever seen at a salon. read more

Only give it a try if you don't mind having your time utterly wasted. My second time trying this place. The first time I got a really unexperienced nail person and only came back because my best friend suggested a specific tech, Laura. I made an appointment on Friday for Monday and arrived 15 minutes early bc I had to drive 45 minutes to get there. I sat for 15 minutes which is no problem since I was willingly there before my appt but my appt time came and went and no one even suggested to soak my feet for my pedicure until I spoke up. First time going to this salon and I was pleased with my manicure but did not have a pleasant experience due to the following: 1) We are in the midst of a pandemic and they did not follow the social distancing guidelines. My hands were already soaking in acetone and another customer was sat right next to me. I didn't ask to be moved since my nails were already being worked on. There are glass walls that cover one another from the shoulders up but there was 5 other empty seats that she could've been sat at. 2) The professionalism was lacking as well from the receptionist. He was clearly agitated upon arrival. I came in 15 minutes late due to not being able to find the parking lot. He proceeded to make a physical gesture of strangling me. What I gathered from this gesture was that he wanted to kill me for being late. Not the best first impression from this being the first time I go here. 3) My appointment was for a dip powder manicure but I wasn't notified upon arrival that I wouldn't be allowed to get any extra services due to their time crunch. I asked the nail tech to put tips on my nails and the receptionist came around saying I should've arrived on time and maybe they could've been able to. Not pleased that I was denied a service I would've paid extra for being a first time customer. Mind you the guest that was sat right next to me was getting a full set done and the salon wasn't even full. The receptionist tried to be nice after my manicure but that did not mend this experience for me. My manicure is alright but I will not be coming back due to this experience. read more

The list of prices is in front of you. Use it to hold techs accountable. Random things are written on that receipt paper for checkout. If something looks off, ask about it. Get an explanation. I have. It could be a simple misunderstanding from a language barrier. It happens. Simply inquire and they're happy to sort it out. If you over pay, it's on you. I'm not the first person to complain about this. Something tells me, I won't be the last. 2. They do dry manicures. Except it's not Russian. It's Neanderthal style. It's traditional clippers, hacking away at sensitive cuticles, then drilling over them with the large drill, the small drill, nail filer, buffer ALL HITTING THE SAME DAMN PAINFUL CUTICLES! No water. No cuticle remover. No moisture of any kind. Oh, the pain is SO real. I wish I were exaggerating. I am not. Again, I'm not the first to complain about this and highly doubt I'll be the last. I just do not understand when this became a trend... I've had REAL RUSSIAN MANICURES before and let me tell you, they're quite pleasant. What. Is. Going. On? We are not mowing the lawn people, we are doing nails.... Gentle, beautiful, nails. I just... Idk what to say. I paid a premium price to be in pain and I'm speechless. Oh also, of course not all techs are created equal. Some will polish amazingly, but file your nail so crooked, it's competing with the leaning tower. Others will file properly but not place the product evenly, or they may kill your cuticles. REMEMBER, you're paying a premium. These services are not cheap. The manicurist cut my cuticles and made my fingers bleed. The mani girl was very unfriendly it was past 4 I guess she was tired. Ms hungry. It was painful too very painful ... i bled see images I finally got fed up of this and I was in a big pain from my cuticles being shaved so I asked her to remove the 3 tips she just glued. The owner charged me for a service I decided not to get anymore because I didn't feel comfortable doing it (dip powder) due to the pain. About the pedi w/ calluses removal and paraffin, the manicurist rushed it. I was hoping to relax and I felt rushed, stressed from the manicurist bad vibes and the rush. When it was time to pay the owner or manager presented me the bill without any explanation just the total amount ( pricey) over $100. Be aware, they will harass you if you don't tip them. It was ok - felt rushed, ask for acrylic and got bulky nails. I was quoted 80+ tax but ended up being 98 with tax - then I was told out loud that my ten dollar tip was low and usually people tip more. If I felt like the person did a good job I would gladly tip more- you are not entitled to a big tip if the customer is not satisfied! After looking at multiple salons who do nail sculpting and dip powder I decided to come here. I booked 2 appointment for sculpting with dip and pedicures. When we walked in no one greeted us and the reception was empty. We sat and waited until one of the techs asked if we've been helped. Finally the guy at the front desk cane and we told him we had appointments. We were seated in the pedicure station until the nail techs became available. By now we were offered water, coffee or wine. I opted for a deluxe pedicure, the charcoal one which included a massage and hot towels. The pedicure was okay. I would of rather the regular one. When I was seated for the manicure portion of the visit, crys was sat 1 seat down from me although the seat next to me was empty. Eventually some one came in and was having services done in that seat so we couldn't really talk because it's kind of rude to shout over someone so whatever, fine. She started my nails and after talking she realized I wanted tips so she went and got them. I got tips to make my nails longer and didn't get the sculpting which is what I wanted initially but whatever I was ok with it. I showed her my shape and how I wanted them but what I got was completely different. I noticed at the end she put a top coat and told me to let it dry but crys was getting the same service done and her tech put gel on top and had her dry them in the UV light which makes them nice and glossy. Her tech also gave her a mini manicure with water and removed her cuticles. I didn't get any of that. I left the salon so upset I cried because I hate my nails. The tech was nice don't get me wrong it's just her technique is not the best. I booked appointments for something and the techs had no idea so there's a miscommunication there. On top of everything my nails look like normal polish because they all have streaks and chips and it's just a mess. Super cute place but I won't be coming back. read more

I was looking for a new nail place, when I noticed an ad for Biscayne nail and Beauty Bar on Yelp. Decided to make an appointment and I'm so happy that I did, I love the way my nails came out and I also love the ambience and the look of the salon. The salon is very modern and chic, they also have a lot of nail polish color options. I don't remember the name of the nail tech that attended me, but she was very sweet and gentle/careful when cutting my cuticles. I did gel manicure ($32) and just a regular polish change on my toes ($10). I absolutely love this color, Looks great for the springtime. The price wasn't bad, but I really love how chic and luxurious the feel of the salon has. Deff will be coming back! :) read more
