Was really looking forward having brunch here but wasn't impressed with the food. Ordered some biscuits and gravy, but the biscuits they use definitely are not biscuits they're more a cake which is already moist so adding gravy to it just made everything soggy. So I had never heard of this place until my friend recommended for our monthly visit. She had heard about it so we figured we'd try it out and we were very happy we did!! It's a little hole in the wall and you could miss it if you didn't know where to go. We had ordered a sweet and a savory to split and for our sweet we had the cinnamon roll pancakes which were to die for good!! Savory was the breakfast quesadilla which was good but a hard follow up to the pancakes. Normally I love pancakes but not the super sweet ones but these were amazing. Pancakes were fluffy but had the crisp edges that I love. If you are a pancake fan you have to try these. Breakfast and Brunch are it for me!!! This place is a guilty pleasure, I wish I could pick it up and drop it in every city that I visit. The Blueberry french toast were to die for, they aren't your typical french toast and are a meal on its own if you ask me. The creme toping with the fresh blueberries makes that calories all worth it. I doubt I can just be ok with regular french toast after having these. Overall the food was worth the wait and the hype. A lot of time we go places because they are popular but end up disappointed. Let me just say that I was pleased. My only wish would been for me to be able to eat there but the wait was long and they stopped taking reservations due to the time. We visited this restaurant on a whim when I got hangry after shopping at IKEA. This was my first time dining out in months and I was pleasantly surprised at how well they are handling social distancing and sanitation. There were no tables available so the hostess took our name and phone number, she asked that we wait outside until a table became available. We only had to wait about 5 minutes while the waitress cleared and sanitized a table for us before our phone rang. We sat down and were immediately greeted and offered menus and beverages, their coffee came out hot and delicious! The menu isn't huge but offers a variety of sandwiches, breakfast classics, omelettes, skillets, soup, and pancakes. I opted for the classic breakfast (eggs, potatoes, bacon, and a fluffy biscuit), my husband got the western omelette with potatoes and a biscuit as well. I figured if we were at a place that had biscuit in the name we better get that! A huge plate of pancakes walked by so I had to get some of those too, I'm a sucker for carbs. Our plates of food came out in under 10 minutes and it was obvious that I over ordered but I was determined to eat as much as possible. The eggs and potatoes were fantastic, the biscuits fluffy and soft, and the pancakes!!! Crunchy edges, soft and pillowy in the middle served with powdered sugar and a generous pat of butter. If you're in the area, and even if you are not, stop by and experience one of the greatest breakfasts in the area. Be sure to tip generously as the service there is top notch. I have only dined here for breakfast. They have enormous biscuits and gravy, various pancakes, potatoes, and egg dishes. Although nothing is stellar, nothing is bad. The portions are large. As I unfortunately see at other places as well, some servers were wearing their masks only over their mouth, and not over their mouth and nose. My favorite brunch place in Canton!! I know that Ikea is just next door, but please please skip their Swedish meatballs just this once to give this fantastic place a try!! You gotta order the biscuits and gravy if you're going to dine at a place named after their signature dish. The biscuits are dense, yet have a fluffy and kind of layered exterior. Buttery and warm, they taste even more wonderful with the gravy on the side. The gravy is creamy, well-seasoned, and contains small pieces of sausage. I ordered the classic breakfast, and even though the dish doesn't seem to normally come with their signature gravy, the server was kind enough to provide a soup bowl size of this gravy on the side without any additional cost. The pancakes and French toast are also amazing!! My friend and I split the cinnamon raisin French toast the last time I came. The dish was pretty to take pictures of and also humongous. We could not finish and had to take leftovers home. I highly recommend this place. As an added bonus, Ikea is next door if you need a place to walk off your post breakfast food coma :) read more

I love this little place. It's the perfect breakfast spot I drive 30 minutes just to come for breakfast.

I wanted to treat my kids to a special breakfast on a random holiday I had from work. We were seated right away around 8:30am on a Wednesday (got the last open socially-distanced table). Lots of people doing take-out while we were there. We ordered drinks (chocolate milks) that took a solid 15 minutes to come out. Meanwhile, we still hadn't ordered our food. The server explained that after she made the chocolate milks, she realized that the milk had gone bad and had to remake them... I'm glad she did remake them, but that long of a delay on a Wednesday morning with only 6 tables in the restaurant is a bit frustrating. There was some sitting-around-chatting time for her during that 15 minutes that could have been used to take our food order - we ended up being seated about 30 minutes before our food (pancakes and biscuits, nothing complicated like a Benedict) arrived. The kids' chocolate pancakes were excellent. They each got a scrambled egg on the side and they loved the texture and flavor. My biscuits and gravy were good-not-great. Since my last visit here, something happened to this dish - the biscuit was oddly sweet, like a cake, and super crumbly. It fell apart midway through my meal and became a crumbled-biscuit-and-gravy soup. Biscuits should have a tiny bit of chew and I should be able to break off a bite and poke it with a fork, not have it crumble and fall apart. The gravy flavor was still very good, and I loved the sausage pieces inside it. I ordered cheesy grits to go for my wife and she said they were good, but needed quite a bit of salt. And she is generally a "easy on the salt" type of eater. I will return, and I keep wanting this place to be *THE* rock star breakfast location in Canton that I can't wait to share with friends, but it just hasn't quite lived up to its reputation on any of my visits thus far. Let's me start off by thanking Diana Nelson for turning me on to this place in one of her FB posts. I found myself in the area so thought I would give it a try. I consider myself a bit of a biscuits and gravy expert. I have eaten B&G I many states and even I'm forgiven countries. The evaluation always starts and ends with the biscuit. These were fantastic, light and fluffy. I could have simply enjoyed the biscuits with butter. Then comes the gravy. This was spot on traditional sausage gravy. We were watching a movie in Canton and needed somewhere to have a late brunch. BF found Biscuits & Gravy on Yelp and the menu looked good, so we chose it. We arrived at around 1:00pm and were given a 25-minute wait time. They will take your number down and call you when your table is ready. I really appreciated this, as we didn't have to hover outside waiting for our names/numbers to be called. We took a walk over to the Bed, Bath & Beyond a few doors down to kill some time. We opted to split an order of their House-Made Biscuits & Gravy, since it is what their namesake is. Neither of us are huge fans, but we thought it was pretty tasty. I probably wouldn't order it again, as the rest of their menu is so appealing, but it was pretty good. I had the Lox Eggs Benedict, which is an English muffin topped with cream cheese, smoked salmon, onions, tomatoes, capers, poached eggs, and hollandaise sauce. You get a choice between potatoes, cheesy grits, or tomatoes as your side. I opted for the cheesy grits, but in hindsight, I should've went for something lighter like the tomatoes or the potatoes to soak up the sauce. The grits, while good, were too heavy for the dish. I really liked the hollandaise sauce they use here. BF even wiped the plate clean with his fork! BF had the Tiramisu Waffle, which was huge! It was also really good. The waffle really tasted like a tiramisu. I ended up eating the strawberries and whipped cream after he finished his waffle. Mmm! Service was attentive and we were in and out within an hour, which fit our timeline perfectly. I'd probably come back the next time we're in the area for a movie - except I'm definitely going to try their blueberry cheesecake French toast bake. Holy fat pants. This place wants to roll your ass out the door after brekkie. That is if you can still squeeze through after you nosh on the massive portions they sling out to you. They have pancakes the size of hubcaps. Daunting but delicious. Share them. They do not reheat well and there is no way you will finish all of it solo. My husband ordered the cinnamon swirl. They are crack like. Too sweet for me to eat much but my husband gave it the old college try and was not able to defeat them. He did also have a side of bacon that he did finish. I had the lox Benedict which was awesome. Uber rich but happy. Good salmon with all the nice accoutrements. The potatoes were made better with egg yolk and hollandaise drippings to boot. I had to take some of both items home which really were not happy reheats either sadly. So either waste food or share. It is delicious first run. The other reason it's not five star is two fold. The hours suck and it is always packed the hours I can make it here (weekends). This makes it frustrating and annoying. Other than the three issues mentioned it is five star. read more

I hope you read this: PORTIONS ARE HUGE. I however did not read before we went and it was a bit of a bad choice. We couldn't decide - per usual - so we figured let's share. I did the cajun benedict (I believe that is what they called it)- it had chorizo, was mildly spicy and a good choice. He went for the biscuits and gravy, topped with scrambled eggs. A rare choice for him- one of those once a year or so dishes. The promise of it being homemade is what drew him in. It was good- I thought the sweetness of the biscuits was a bit odd and offputting- but that's just my opinion. Then, we also ordered the cinnamon pancakes. Five people could eat these- no joke. One order is the size of a small cake. It was really good, but only for about six or seven bites or so. Super rich and again with the portions it was all just a bit much. The real problem I have is that one dish can easily be split by three adults. None of what we ordered is something you could take home and reheat.. so basically it goes to waste- which bothers me more than it probably should. I mean, unless you can eat this much of course, no judgement. Also, because of the size and the fact one can only eat so fast, the dishes get soggy very very quickly. We hadn't been here in a couple years, and their biscuits and gravy were calling to me, so we drove past our usual breakfast spot and headed here. The 35 minute projected wait turned out to be only 20 minutes of wait time, which was a pleasant surprise. The seats in the booth were a surprise too. They were sunken, kind of lumpy, and uncomfortable. Time to replace or re-stuff them. We ordered 2 biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs and an order of pancakes-- all of which we swapped out halfway through breakfast. The biscuits were smothered in so much gravy, you couldn't see them. The chef could easily use half the amount of gravy and there would likely still be too much gravy on the biscuits. Sadly, the gravy has changed in the past two years. Previously it was homemade and wonderful. Now it looks identical to the boxed gravy served at my husband's old work cafeteria, but this gravy has a little bit of their delicious sausage mixed in. Unfortunately, there's not enough sausage to mask the mediocre flavor of the gravy. The biscuits had a somewhat sweet flavor, and were almost a cakey consistency, breaking apart and crumbling into hundreds of small crumbs like a dry, overcooked cake would do. Their biscuits and gravy need to go back to the homemade gravy and biscuits that are more traditional with a slightly crunchy, saltier exterior, and a soft interior that pulls apart nicely with a fork. On another note, as you may be able to tell from the picture, my pancakes were deformed. They flipped one of them over wrong and let it cook folded over on itself so it was heavier/denser than any pancake should be. They tried to hide this by sandwiching it in the middle of the stack, not considering that I'd need to pull it out to spread the giant glob of butter rapidly melting on the top pancake. As far as size goes, if you're hungry, still order a short stack. Only someone with an enormous appetite could eat three of these pancakes. So . . . all in all, it was an ok visit. Decent service. Ok food. A bit pricey compared to our favorite local coney island breakfast. So we'll be returning to our go to restaurant when we want to go to breakfast next. This place is really tiny on the inside, we had to get on the list and waited for about 35 mins. The cool thing is that they will call you on your cell when your table is ready. While we waited we did a little shopping in the strip mall until we received a call. The service was good and the waitress was attentive. I had the chicken and waffles with pecans. The chicken was good and the waffle was ok ( it could have had more pecans in the waffle). My niece had the cinnamon swirl pancakes (AMAZING ) I found myself kept eating my niece food.
