I would have given 5 stars a few months ago. The service has gone down to the point it's almost non existent. I stopped eating there because it's too cold, (even with a sweater on) no music, and it's an empty shell of a building, maximized for profit. Food was pretty good though. Started ordering out. Now They can't complete orders on time. Often I will go in and wait 15-20 min (after the order is supposed to be ready). Now the orders are not being made correctly, so I'm overspending, and tipping in advance (would t recommend it). Last order was 50 min. Food quality is now starting to decline. The remaining waitresses are trying to keep the ship from sinking. read more

Sadly, this will be the last time I try this biscuits. I used to live by the one oh Johnson Creek which I love but moved closer and I figured I'd get similar service. Nope. I've gone about 4 times in the last 2 years. Every time trying to space out the amount of time to see if they train up their crew or turn over their current crew and get a new one. Nope. We are sat and ignored by the 3 servers that are walking around for 10 minutes before we are even acknowledged and water is brought to our table. I honestly dont even think there were 10 groups in customers seated. After we got our water we were told 2 times by 2 different servers that our server would be with us in a few minutes. We watched a man and his son get seated and drinks ordered and on their table before we got ours and had already been there for some time. When we did finally get our server over there, he was great. Which is why I gave 2 stars. The food was also good. But the coffee.. if you can even call it that.. they either are cutting costs by using half the grounds or concentrate that they are supposed to, or they are mixing it with hot water. The coffee is barely brown and tastes like nothing. Years ago, when I used to frequent the one on Johnson Creek, I used to love going there and chatting over breakfast with my coffee. If I do ever go to a biscuits again, I certainly won't order the "coffee" because its a waste of money. Its sad. I dont know what happening to the chain, but there are too many breakfast places around to settle for mediocre service and hot water that they call coffee. Stopped with friends for lunch around 12:30 at Biscuit's on SE McLoughlin in Oak Grove. . There was virtually nobody there. My wife said something to Layla (spelling) at the front door and she snapped back with some not very professional statement after my wife asked if the man in front of us was waiting on a table or waiting for a pick up. . We seated ourselves. Ordered, ate and left. A Customer walked over to our table and actually apologized for what she heard, even though she was just a customer. The tables still had dirty plates and nobody bussing the tables. Our waiter was Eric and was good and food was good. Layla never came past us to apologize which is fine. When we left, only 3 people eating. We will find another place next time to spend our money. read more

I have to say that this is one of the best breakfast spots in the Clackamas area. The food was amazing. The price and quality fall in line with the size of the food. The service was good. I noticed that when I went with my kids, it was a little busy in the morning. The ambiance was great. Large open interior and the restaurant was very clean. I don't live in the area, but I go out that way often. This is now my new breakfast spot that I need to go to at least once on every trip I come out. Keep up the great work. read more

We hadn't been into this location since it was Hale's so we decided to give it a try. It still looks a lot like the same place. They had a candied bacon Bloody Mary advertised as a special so of course we had to try them! The candied bacon was fantastic! I would come back just to order one of those with a side of toast. We also ordered a chicken sandwich and a BLT. The staff was pleasant but very slow. There were only 2 other tables occupied in the whole restaurant so it wasn't a "busy" issue. Even getting water took a very long time. Generally drink would be served promptly but I believe there was an issue with getting someone to make the drinks due to age restrictions. Overall the food was good, the drinks with bacon were very good and we would come back when we know we're not on any time restriction to wait longer than average. read more

This is your typical family breakfast American diner type of joint. They have booths and tables for up to 4 on average. Pretty sure they can move tables together to accommodate bigger groups if needed. I came here we're a few of my friends so it was fine. Actually came here for both mornings when I was in the area for the weekend. They have a hefty mug of coffee which was much appreciated. The breakfast food was alright. The sausage Pattie's were oddly perfectly round. Kind of looked like hockey pucks. Food was pretty standard. I did try the avocado toast on the second morning I was here. Came with some eggs which I wasn't sure whether I should eat that together with the toast or separately. Pretty sure it was meant to eat separately cause it was a bit messy to add it on top of the avocado toast. Overall, not bad. Biscuits in the intersection of a bunch of bad and mediocre things. This restaurant used to be Hale's, a homey little family run breakfast place that was bought up by the Biscuits chain. They stripped the interior, coated everything with hard surfaces to reflect the sound, and give it that sterile hose-the-place-out-at-the-end-of-the-night feel. If you like eating in an army chow hall, or really miss your high school cafeteria, then this place is for you. plus it is decorated with all that suburban kitsch, like the "Live, Laugh, Love" and "Gather" signage, this place couldn't be more white if it tried. The food was mediocre, their country gravy came out of paint cans, the coffee from the inside of a steel-belted radial. This is about the 3rd Biscuits I've been to, they are all like this. Nearby are The Ranch, Coasters, Stanley's Corner, and Grandma's Corner, all better breakfast places than this. The service staff was doing the could with what they had. this place could do better. They could start by getting rid of the steel misprision chairs, wooden benches, and put up something to block the clatter. They could also check out some spices, while they are at it. read more

The biscuit was hard on top and bottom but still doughy in the fleshy part and gravy had it been over heated and 'broke' or clabbered as mom called it. I ordered the Original breakfast:2eggs OM perfect!,Turkey bacon 4slices!, hash browns(shredded), biscuit fluffy(I hollowed it out, it was super fluffy and I don't want to be.) my husband ordered the SW Omelet. Neither of us could eat even half of our serving. Agree on a meal and split!! But don't pass on the cinnamon roll. Ask for butter and if they don't have any they are not a real biscuit house. Food was alright, service wasn't bad. We tried to order online, and it kept cancelling our order after we'd finish it. So I called them and they said their online ordering basically doesn't work so it just cancels an order when someone tries to order thru the website. So we called and ordered, went to pick up the order and payed and got the food! When I payed I had it text me the receipt. I go to look at the receipt, and it's not my order it has lunch menu items and all we got was breakfast. I call them up and the manager I believe his name was Eric says we did get charged the wrong tab but the tab we paid for was cheaper then the food we got originally so acted like it all good. I had him text me the actual receipt! And he literally had lied to me, it was 11$ more than our order that we paid. I tell him I just want a refund for the difference and he proceeds to explain to me that the company is unable to do that with how the banks work.... But offers me a gift card instead. I was driving down McLoughlin and looking for somewhere for a late breakfast. There were not a lot of cars in the parking lot so I decided to stop. The moment I hit the front door I was greeted warmly by a young man. He seated me promptly and provided me with a menu. The restaurant was about half full at this time. Everything was very clean and newer condition. After about five minutes my waiter showed up and I ordered coffee and the fajita omelette which comes with hash browns and a choice of bread. I chose the English muffin. While I was waiting for my food I was watching the other meals go bye and noticed that everything seemed large portion. Nice! My food arrived within 15 minutes. The omelette was huge end it was stuffed with grilled chicken, peppers, onions, mushrooms, olives and topped with cheese. It came with a side of salsa/ sour cream. The hash-browns were cooked perfect...a bit crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The English muffin came with a side of strawberry jam. Everything was absolutely delicious! Upon ordering I was made aware that they were out of vegan sour cream so I asked if I could have avocado instead. I appreciated the notice and they accommodated the substitution at no cost to me. My wife and I generally like the food at Biscuits, great for breakfast, brunch and lunch. This is our first visit to this location after they purchased/remodeled the Hales location. I'm happy to say the service here is definitely better than our last couple of encounters at the Canby location. They still have some room to go however definitely worth the extra distance to visit again. I had the almond crusted French toast. It was the hoped for crusty goodness. The bacon was ok, don't expect the thick premium bacon you might find other places. The wife went for the pick three, taking the two eggs I didn't want with a chocolate pancake, fruit and ham. Her first decaf coffee was only warm, to their credit, the next two refills were hot and fresh. I appreciate their regional manager checking in with us. I think this is the key to a well run place, a manager who is in the room checking in with the customers. It was clean and fully Covid compliant, something you can't cut corners on these days. The next bite, unbeknownst to me, included a piece of plastic. When I removed it from my mouth, I found about a 2" strip with a serrated edge. I very quietly brought this to the attention of our server, Eric. He was dumbfounded as to what it could be. I asked that he bring this to the attention of the kitchen and didn't ask him to remove the plate. When it came time for the bill, I was thinking they might have comp'd me on that item. I was so excited that this place finally opened up at the top of my street!!!! Today we ordered breakfast consisting of kids junior pancakes with berries and my all time favorite BEAST Benedict. Order was ready within 15 minutes and they placed our order in the trunk. Hollandaise sauce came on the side and there was lots of it. Berries for the pancakes also came on the side to prevent from being soggy. And portions oh my are insane huge and our morning meal was absolutely delicious!!
