This place was super cute inside and had a ton of yummy options for food and drink. There is so much more I'd like to come back and try. We ordered two different toasts and split them between two people. Ordered the braised beef toast (add egg) and the smoked salmon toast with avocado. I preferred the braised beef but both were great. The picture presentation doesn't look great but we ordered to go and ate outside because it was busy when we went (a Saturday at 2pm of Memorial Day weekend), so the presentation probably would be better on a regular plate. My Greek Wrap & Jasmine Green Tea were delicious! My friend had the Havarti Turkey Apple Sandwich with sweet potato fries and she said it was super tasty. Lola's has a full bar & happy hour, Grab 'n Go food for those in a hurry, coffee bar and a gift shop. Oh yes, they serve breakfast all day! Their menu is quite extensive and for this first-timer, it was challenging to decide what to order since so many things looked and sounded awesome. Even the list of coffee drinks was long! I ordered my Greek Wrap with falafel and the wrap was stuffed with romaine lettuce, feta cheese, red onion, tomato, kalamata olives, pepperoncini, drizzled with a Greek vinaigrette all wrapped up in a spinach tortilla. The Havarti Turkey Apple Sandwich Sliced was made with roasted turkey breast, havarti, bacon onion jam, arugula, apple slices, pesto mayo, and was served warm on toasted ciabatta. The sweet potato fries were perfectly done. When the server discovered that I was celebrating a birthday, she returned with a berry scone that had a lit candle poked in the center. The food is always amazing, presented amazingly, and the coffee is warm-your-soul good. I love that they serve breakfast all day, and that their menu is so inclusive of all day parts (morning, afternoon, and even dinner!). The servers are always friendly and are starting to recognize me because of how often I come here lol. My food comes out quicker than I realize. The ambiance is also one of the reasons I keep coming back. I love the cozy booth seating, and the high top bar that has outlets. They also have a "grab and go" section that's awesome if you're just looking to get something on the way to work. They have free wifi, which means I could sit here all day and work on homework. I really wanted to like Lola Café Bar because the food was actually quite good (except side salad being so wilted) but the service from our waitress completely ruined the experience for my friend and me. She never introduced herself, barely checked on us, and had an attitude from the moment we politely asked to change an iced coffee to hot and switch falafel balls to chicken--changes we made just a few minutes after placing the order. Throughout the meal, she ignored us, and when we were ready to leave, we waited over 40 minutes just to get a box and our check. She was focused on a larger party that arrived after we were nearly done and made it clear she couldn't care less about us. At one point, we were even given a cup with a visible lipstick stain on it--completely unacceptable. Eventually, I had to flag down a different server--a male waiter--who was actually kind, asked us how our day was going, and finally brought us the box and check. He made a genuine effort to help, which we appreciated, but by then the damage had been done. As someone who's worked in the service industry, it takes a lot for me not to leave a tip, but in this case, I couldn't justify it. A tip is earned, not owed. Sadly, we won't be coming back. This might be my fav new spot. I accidentally walked in right before happy hour started. Score. The service was a little slow, but the food was fresh and delicious. The burger was amazing in every way, the sweet potato fries--crispy and delicious(the happy hour menu didn't state that the burger came with fries, so that was a pleasant surprise), and I want to dunk EVERYTHING in the fry sauce. It's 78 degrees out and the covered patio is the perfect temperature today. Needless to say, I will be back to try everything on the menu I tried the Paloma and it was tart, which I love, because I'm not into super sweet drinks. My kid with a broken leg was hungry, and started to cry, and it made me really upset. That nasty sad woman and staff are so entitled and gave the worse service (maybe they think they are ok because the LO mayor owns that business?). The space has a few indoor tables, a long curved bar, and a delightful outdoor patio with lots of tables. This is where the beautiful people of LO hang out. Our lattes were pretty good, but the cinnamon rolls were dry. The waitress even admitted that one of them was a day old. Unfortunately, the service was sub-standard, with two very young and inexperienced servers serving us, there was confusion about getting us an extra chair, asking us if we needed anything else when our coffees hadn't even been delivered, and awkwardness when asking how we wanted to pay. read more

I got the caramel latte ,16 ounce that they did over ice which was really good and then their classic burger and substituted sweet potato fries. Overall atmosphere is very relaxed, upbeat, and enjoyable; was not too loud. Menu offered a lot of substitutions for gluten free if you needed. The menu does a good job of leaning on the cafe style while still offering bigger plates for those wanting a full meal. After waiting for over an hour and a half, I finally went to the counter to check on our order only to find out it had never even been placed. No one notified us, I'm not even sure they cared. When the food finally did arrive, it wasn't worth the wait. The quality was below average, and the bread tasted stale, possibly even old. Later that night, I became violently ill. I'm not a doctor, but I suspect I got food poisoning from the meal. It's now the next day and I'm still nauseous and afraid to eat anything. Needless to say, I won't be returning, and I would caution others to think twice before dining here. Poor service is one thing, getting sick is another. read more

My first experience a few years back for brunch was great, you ordered at the counter and was able to grab pastries to have while you ate. Then they moved to waited service and the place really went down hill. Came for brunch again and service was less than poor, we waited forever at every step. What was a quick brunch turned into an a 2 hour process. Tried a 3rd time for Happy hour, only 4 tables filled (no large parties) our drink and food order was taken quickly. Our food arrived 20 minutes later and no drinks yet. When we inquired we were told other orders were before us, obviously a bad excuse. 10 minutes later our drinks arrive. I usually visit here a few times a year, but mainly for their drinks to go. If you sign up for text messages, you will be also rewarded with a free drink on your birthday. That's definitely a fun reward to redeem, and always is a win win. One time I ordered their butterfly pea drink which was a different blue color - it was quite different than the norm., but it wasn't that flavorful - so I resorted back to my main reliable tea and coffee drinks that I think taste better. The place has a charming ambiance, but sometimes it feels a bit overcrowded or understaffed or noisy or something just feels off. Because of this, they have tried to regulate the dining area as more of a cafe order-in place and almost encourage people ordering just drinks to take them to go. I don't mind and usually find a bench outside or am on the run anyway, but it can be a bit confusing with the design and staff issues. It's close to the library and post office so if you decide to take a neighborhood stroll of downtown Lake Oswego, it's definitely a worthy stop if you haven't been before.
