They just opened and handled my very loose requests perfectly! Cut off a few inches, easy to maintain style, add in fun color and have fun! I've been to this Bishop's a handful of times now, been served by three different stylists, and always left satisfied with my cut. However, I'm disappointed by the lack of accessibility. I would've liked to recommend this place to some of my friends, but the seating (waiting area and salon chairs) is neither fat-friendly nor navigable for those with aids like rollators or wheelchairs. read more

I had the most incredible experience getting my hair cut done by Jessica. She was very attentive in listening to exactly what it was I wanted for my hair, and did an amazing job on professionally handling my needs. I was worried that too much length would be taken off as I like to keep my hair long- but she cleaned it up so well that I came out looking as if my hair was actually longer because the ends were so healthy and clean! I don't see much difference in the length of the hair but it is visibly so much healthier. I am very thankful for this amazing service and will definitely be a frequently returning client. read more

I was very unhappy with my visit. I did not get the style/cut that I wanted, my layers were not blended well at all and layers are uneven on front of each side. My hair is very curly and frizzy and the lady did not style it afterwards so I left the salon looking like a mess! When I got home I straightened my hair myself and saw all the flaws. I live in The Vintage apartments, just behind Bishops's salon. I have patronized the salon a handful of times, mostly out of convenience and location, and every time paying a hefty price. Supposedly we are to receive a discount for sharing the same rental property, however that discount was never offered to me. Just before the second Covid shut down, I was charged more than $250 for color only, sent home with wet hair - not even a trim. When I came back to have my eyebrows waxed, the manager offered me a 50% discount on my next hair color, because she recalled that night before the Covid shut down and apologized for the poor service. Recently upon reminding them of said discount I was told they are no longer offering any discounts because of Covid. This goes to prove that Covid is an excuse to not provide good service. Not even fair service. This is so disappointing to me, this in my own neighborhood. It's feast and famine, and it's a company that puts money before relationship and clientele. Relationship and clientele are the key to running a successful business, I am saddened that Bishop's management is not making the better choice. read more

Ok, bishops saved my life today. I got a little scissor happy when cutting my own hair the other night and ended up looking like Cynthia from rugrats. I live closer to the danville location, but opted for Pleasanton because Danville Salons have no idea how to handle curly hair. This cut went so well for three reasons. 1. The skill of my barber 2. My constant communication on what I wanted (I'm usually to scared to say if I don't like something) 3. My barbers ability to listen to what I had to say and give her input on what she realistically could and couldn't do. Keep those three things in mind at any salon. Anyway I said I just wanted it even and to frame my face better and to keep the femininity. She took it slow and asked me each after we cut to a new length if that was good/if I wanted to keep going. When she was done there was something I didn't like, but I told her and she fixed it right away. Also, there's beers for sale in the waiting area which is sick. I used to look forward to getting my hair cut here. I recently went here to get a trim and didn't know that they switched owners. I asked for a trim and showed a picture of how I wanted my hair cut. The lady took out the clippers and I reminded her once more I didn't want that much cut. She absolutely botched my hair up and acted like she did an amazing job. Love this place ...I needed a root touch up. It was easy to call and make an appointment... even the day of the appointment. They did roots and did a toner... they offered me a drink and everything (felt like royalty). My hair has been a little dry so I decided to make another appointment to do a repair treatment and I really like the service there...super happy music going and super nice...I even took a tiny nap when she was blow drying my hair! Truly a great experience for a very reasonable price. There is a giant light board menu so there are no surprises about the price. They offer you a beer or sparkling water to sip as you relax and get your hair service. I was able to get a same day appointment and Roxanne did a great job gaving me exactly what I wanted! Can't speak to the quality of the hair cutting but just fair warning: they are 100% dead serious about 15 minutes -- I walked in 16 minutes after my appointment and they turned me away and charged me 20%. Extremely frustrating because I drove an hour to go to a gender neutral salon and they were very unsympathetic.
