Buy your next bike from Kendall, period! There is no one I trust more to purchase from or have service my bikes than Kendall. I've run the gamut of phases in biking, from being a avid intermediate road and mountain biker, to racing internationally for years, and back to an avid recreational rider, and Kendall has been a rock through it all; for advice, for support, for service, and for product. I once returned from a brutal race in Brazil with my Santa Cruz XC Blur in pieces. The bike was a mess of snapped cables, ruptured brake calibers, scarred brake disks; even the paint was scrapped off most of the bike. I loved that bike. I handed the mess over to Kendall (who confidently assured me all would be fine), and then he worked his magic. When he was done, the paint job was incredible, everything worked perfectly, and it rode better than ever. I continued racing on that bike for years, until it was stolen (ugh!!). Of course, Bison Bikes is where I bought my replacement mountain bike. For many reasons, yes, he's a great guy, so much knowledge, honest, dependable, passionate, and fair. But here's the really important part. Kendall doesn't just sell you a bike to sell you a bike. He truly wants you to have the best experience possible and takes time and effort to make it fit just right...making sure you have the RIGHT bike. Buy the right bike and you will have it a decade or longer, and enjoy it immensely. I have freakishly long legs, short torso, and disproportionately long arms. Several years ago, Kendall built me a road bike that is the most comfortable road bike I have ever had...a BH Carbon. He took time to make sure it was the right one for me, and was set up correctly. What a great bike purchase experience!! Kendall the owner spent more time going over my bike than any other bike store in the past. He showed me also many other mechanics on the bike to adjust and do by myself. Kendall, the shop owner, is truly amazing, As a first time MTBer with no idea what I was getting into, Kendall was the perfect person to do business with. I found him to be knowledgeable, personable, and absolutely trustworthy in his dealings. He asked me what I wanted and never tried to upsell me like I found with all other dealers in the surrounding area. He met with me for an hour, asked a ton of great questions about what I would want, and showed me a ton of options on different bikes in the shop. By the next morning, he had texted me a whole list of options and links to websites. From there, communication was easy and incredibly responsive. After decision, he had the bike ordered, assembled, and in hand within a week. When I picked up the bike, he spent another hour going over everything on the bike and making minor adjustments for fit. When was the last time you saw the repair work for your bike on a 42" monitor? Not recently (or ever) I suppose and ditto for me. I am a recent crossover road biker to mountain biker. The six year old Yeti ASR-c I purchased needed some love. The first bike mechanic gave me a load of negativity over the phone after going through all the work it needed. That experience was a stark contrast to the call from Kendall of Bison Bikes who said (with an uplifting tone) "This was one of my bigger challenges but I got rid of the annoying creaky noise and am still within the original price quote for the work". When I arrived at his shop, the Yeti was spotlessly clean and Kendall was amped up to show me what he had done. His iPhone connected to the big screen and away we went on a tour of the before and after photos of the areas getting his attention. The result was a wonderfully quiet smooth running bike and a great repair shop experience with an owner/mechanic totally passionate about bikes and customer service. Boom! read more
