We ordered two drinks, later to be $43 (no shit only the two drinks). Cream of wheat on the menu....yes gma's best, for over $20 cuz they added green onions and chili aioli. Sorry folks, couldn't even bother to order. Waitress. Okay. Not a career maybe, but come on. 5 tables total. One large group inside, four other small parties, including us. In the 30 minutes we were there, I saw her twice. No selling personality, barely a smile and did not even deliver the overpriced drinks.Did not acknowledge the well-behaved dog. Did not offer water. So many things. I usually only post raves btw. Go ANYWHERE else. Juniors down the street for instance. Friendly, DOG MENU! Water bowls, nice staff, better prices, fully fully loaded Bloody mary for 1/2 the price of Bistro. Smh. Listen, I've been around the world to many restaurants, hands down one of the worst. Update: Hi it's me again and I'm still in love with Bistro 135. In fact now my whole family is hooked. Our family loves it for any meal of the day - any day of the week, for any occasion (or no occasion at all!) We just wish they were open more!! I've been wanting a really good egg Benedict and I've finally found it! The best egg Benedict I've had in town actually! No lie! Cooked perfectly, very flavorful and so yummy on the focaccia bread! The Benedict plate came with potatoes which were very tasty also. I asked for them crispy and were cooked to my liking. I also wanted to try the scones and chicken apple sausage gravy since I'm a sucker for biscuits and gravy and it was a very delightful take on it! The scone was homemade and had great consistency. As i waited for my food they gave me some complimentary focaccia with a berry compote. Loved it! I'd totally get all this again! I was in breakfast heaven! Seriously. Good Food, Service Needs Work Overall Going to Bistro 135, the seating was a bit wonky. They had open tables and would not seat yet because of how they order the waiters to each table. But the wait wasn't too bad to get seated. The ambiance in and outside is pretty nice! Only thing that's missing is heaters outside. If you're planning to go at night, bring jackets or a blanket! Food The food was amazing, starting off with the bread and the truffle fries! The bread was so good we got a second basket! The truffle fries tasted amazing as well!!! The best pasta I would have to say was the bolognese! But ask for them to cook it a little longer.. the pasta was a little harder than al dente. Service and Timing The servers were splendid and super nice! It just took a while time wise... we sat at 6:00 and it took about an hour for all the (5) dishes to come out. I have lived in Tracy for 8 years and finally tried this place! In the past, it's been impossible to get reservations, but we walked right in and seated outside in their cute little patio! My friend and I shared sautéed garlic prawns and steak bites, and that was perfect for just us two! I honestly don't remember the desserts, but they were fabulous!! The service was good. The remodel and new table settings were nice. I gave a 5 star review in 2018 because the food was so delicious. The menu has changed and not for the better. I ordered the blackened shrimp and the pasta was so very el dente that it almost crunched. In November 2024, my sister-in-law and her 2 grown sons from PA visited us for the first time in 35 years. We wanted to go to the best restaurant in town for one of our dinners. Of course we went to Bistro 135. Thank goodness they had not yet remodeled and changed the menu. Yesterday was Easter Sunday and we made reservations at Bistro 135 for 2:00 pm, for 5 people. This was our first time dining there. We arrived at 1:55 and were seated right away. They brought us water and about 5 minutes later, our waiter arrived to take our order. An hour later (3:00) we were still waiting for our food. Finally at 3:10 they brought our food out. We were a bit upset but the food was delicious. Then the manager came and apologized for our long wait and not only comped the entire meal but gave us a $50 gift card to come back again. I will say that the dining setting matches the food produced by this place. I've not lived in Tracy very long but have tried some restaurants and this is the place to eat. The shrimp appetizer, the artichoke dip, the macaroni and cheese all are spectacular. I've now eaten dinner and this week lunch. Let me tell you about the Parm chicken sandwich. Amazing!!! The chicken was hanging out of the side I could have made a whole other sandwich!! The he sauce is amazing , the cheese was melted perfectly. The chicken was crunchy yet moist. The tomato sauce perfect balance of acidity and tang. Everything I've tried here is well seasoned and I'll be returning again soon. It's been few years since I went to this restaurant with my friends. I used to come here even during Covid. They used to have a great happy hour menus. Also they used to make pasta noodles but I don't think so by dining there yesterday. This restaurant is very small and busy. I highly suggest to make a reservation. One great thing is now the restaurant is open on Monday. A lot of locals still don't know the restaurant is open on Monday, I was very disappointed after I went back to this restaurant since I moved to Texas. The Bistro was one of the only fancy Tracy restaurant with full bar menus. Maybe they got super busy and can't keep up with fine gourmet dining. Now their pasta is over cooked noodles( pre cooked) everything seems greasy and creamy greasy pastas probably cooks in the stone oven with other items, instead of cooking on demand. Most of their menu items are greasy. Their salads have cheese for most of them. What if I don't like cheese? Also the cast iron shrimp was used to use much bigger shrimp and now they are small also their happy hours are downgraded to only 25% off from only shareable items. Service was very efficient to turn tables around however. I felt like I was in a rush and the server was lousy. It is not at the diner. She maybe experienced but she should not be the server at the fancy restaurant. Awful. This restaurant was one of the only fancy trendy restaurant in Tracy. Very sad to see this restaurant gone hill. However the city of Tracy has few options maybe they are ok like this. The menu needs definitely improved for lighter healthy options. Currently only offers stroke and high cholesterol friendly items. I was sad. Their alcohol beverages have great options. The truffle fries again it's deep fried items ( bad for you) was my most favorite here. Is management and chef changed in last 3 years?! I have dined here at least 10 times before. This used to be my go to spot for a girls or date night. Since they renovated and changed the menu I don't think it's the same quality it used to be. I got the carbonara and it was dry and too peppery. I used to love their sangria and it's also changed, it tastes like a Christmas drink now. I'm also bummed that they don't have their focaccia bread anymore! We also got the potato croquets and the portion was so small yet it was expensive. OK, First let me start this review with I have been coming to Bistro for years. I always enjoyed their food and drinks so much. They were always amazing and the staff here have always been and continue to be absolutely amazing. I recently went here (December 6th) and had a much different experience. I am a creature of habit and tend to get the same thing whenever I go. My son is also a super picky eater, so I am always so thankful to get him the pizza. Last time I went, they had a new cook. I went with my whole family and none of us were impressed with the food. It was definitely lacking the original taste it normally has. Not only this, but they have since gotten rid of any pizza. :-( . My son will not eat anything on their new "kids menu." He ordered the Mac and Cheese, but it really was awful... I would like to go back again soon just to see if they were having an off day, but now will no longer be able to go there with my son as I know he now wont eat anything here anymore. Please bring back the pizza! lol. I am really really hoping it was just a fluke day...but who knows. Normally, its amazing, but my whole family was really disappointed in our last trip here. Bistro used to be our go to restaurant for any family celebrations or even just a night when we wanted a nice dinner. Before the renovations took place we started to notice that it was going downhill, the service wasn't as good and the quality of the food wasn't what it used to be. Recently, I decided to give their brunch a try, my first visit since the renovations. The vibe is very different now, it almost feels like a club atmosphere. We used to take our kids with us but I'm not sure I would now. The service was slow. While the biscuits and gravy were good, it was served cold. Also, I think if you're serving brunch you should have a "classic" breakfast on the menu. Hopefully Bistro sees some of these reviews and takes them into consideration. read more

Every staff member is well-committed, extremely friendly, and very attentive. The restaurant was beautifully remodeled recently with wood slate walls throughout. Celebrated my birthday here today and we enjoyed ourselves. The owner (Lex) came to our table and talked to us about a few hiccups we had. I was surprised when he came to our table saying he overheard we were having issues. He inquired about our issues and asked how he could make it right. We weren't looking for anything except our food to be served correctly. Once our food was delivered it was delicious and worth waiting for!!! He spoke with our servers and then offered to make it right. Lex was very personable and easy to talk to. Our servicer J-Lo was awesome!!!! She was ball of energy and took really good care of us. Went back again to grab some dinner for our anniversary. This time I wanted to try their pizza, last time I had chicken. We started with a Caesar salad that we split, added some fried zucchini as well for an appetizer. Salad is sooooo good, zucchini was good too with some ranch sauce. For my dinner I had the Donovan's Combo Pizza, but I did add bacon and removed the onions. Pizza was pretty big, full of flavor. You can just taste the char of the oven on the crust, so good. My wife had the Chicken Francese, she absolutely loved it. The veggies, the chicken, everything had flavor. We love it here. Service was on point and the place was super clean.
