I told the server no cheese on my club. I told her more than once. She did not write it down so I told her again as she walked off "I have a dairy allergy. Please make sure there is no cheese." She nodded and indicated that she understood. My sandwich arrives and the lettuce is wilted, the tomatoes are over ripe. I thankfully only ate half because it tasted "off". I thought it was because they didn't put any mayo or sauce on it. Fair, many people think mayo/eggs are dairy. Decided to eat the bacon off the half I didn't eat. That's when I saw it. CHEESE!! Thankfully I never leave home without something to counter accidental dairy exposure. Still I'm livid. Don't mess around with people's allergies!! If it had been a seafood allergy? I'd be doing much worse than having to spend the next three days in a restroom (if my medicine doesn't work fast enough). Even though this is a favorite place? Will not be returning. Do NOT mess around with food allergies.

The atmosphere is relaxed yet charming, with a comfortable vibe. Although I didn't take advantage of happy hour this time, the menu offers several appealing options along with daily specials. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak, which I've had many times before, and it's consistently excellent. The fries are equally delicious and a perfect complement to the meal. Our server, Rami, was friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back.

This place is conveniently located, really cute on the inside, and has a big range of food. We came in on a Friday night around 8pm, and didn't have to wait at all for a table. Our waitress was nice, if pretty busy, and couldn't spend all that much time with us. My fiancé was recommended the salmon by the staff, but was underwhelmed- the fish filet was thin and small, the veggies undercooked, and the rice pilaf lacked flavor. I ordered the Bistro Pasta, and was underwhelmed (it generally tasted like butter noodles with garlic on them). My food was cooked well, just wasn't as special as I'd have hoped. We enjoyed the ambiance, but the food left us wanting. I will caveat that with the fact that we ordered the spring roll appetizer, and those were delicious! I'd be back for appetizers just to get my own plate of spring rolls. I think they have some decent themed nights/happy hour specials throughout the week that might appeal to those who drink a little more than we do.

I found this to be a very charming and quaint restaurant to gather for a family Sunday brunch. The food was very tasty and served promptly. I had a build-your-own omelette with a side of breakfast potatoes which were all cooked perfectly. The pancakes were very generously proportioned and light as a feather. Our server was friendly and engaging. She kept the coffee refills coming, which seems to be a dying art. The restaurant itself is a little small, although we didn't feel crowded at all; but rather cozy. I'd definitely go back. Their dine-in menu has lots of great options.

Wonderful spot! The service was impeccable, food is reasonably priced. Enjoyed lunch there Wednesday afternoon. Despite all of the booths being full, it wasn't too loud and the food didn't take too long to arrive. The crab and corn chowder special is delish along with the crab cake sandwich. My mom was pleased with the Philly as well. Check em out!

I had been craving a good club sandwich for a while and had scrolled past Bistro 804 on DoorDash several times and reading the reviews had to give them a try. I have no regrets whatsoever! The food was absolutely delicious. Everything was super fresh and piping hot. The clam chowder was super flavorful and so comforting. I will definitely be ordering from them again and can't wait to try some of the other items on the menu.

Would give 3 1/2 stars; place was nice, decorated in a pleasant holiday mood mood. Waitress was friendly, if a little bit too into explaining all the intricacies of the day's specials - certainly felt like an up-sell push. We were there for lunch, and ordered simple burger and sandwich. My burger, ordered rare arrived very well done, dry and grey. Waitress took it back and eventually returned with refire (wife was halfway finished at this point. This time it was at least medium, and it was moist and much more enjoyable. Waitress explained that there was a rookie chef back in the kitchen, but supposedly a more experienced one overseeing him as well. Guess I slipped through the cracks. Wife's grilled Ruben must have been sitting on the warming shelf while waiting for the burger as it was oily and not all that tasty.

Bistro 804 is a cozy little spot and has great ambiance. The service was great and the food was pretty good! Nothing exceptionally crazy but I was there more to celebrate my friend's birthday so I may have to go back and try their other dishes. Parking was also quite easy as there is a parking lot. They also have happy hour which was a plus for us!

We met up with a friend here for dinner on a Monday night. This place is located in a little strip mall area and there was a lot of parking. We went in and were seated immediately. Even though it was a Monday night, the place was very busy. Monday night is burger night there... so we all got burgers. I got the Olympian and the other two got a Texas burger. The Olympian was very very good!!! I also ordered onion rings but they brought fries out instead. Not a huge deal but I would have preferred the onion rings. They also had decent happy hour prices on beer from 4-7 pm. The service was good overall and it was a nice place to have dinner. My only negative comment about the place is that it gets really loud. By the time we left, the place was full and it is not a large space, so it was hard to carry on a conversation.. But it was still an enjoyable dinner!

We made a reservation for Saturday mid day for a large party. We were seated right away when we arrived. The staff was very friendly and did a great job handling our large group. Everyone's food came out correctly and we all loved our experience so I know my family will be back. Shrimp and grits (3/5) - Hard to rate this because the flavor was great. The seasoning, the sausage/shrimp combo, and the taste overall was good. However, the texture and consistency of the grits is a problem. I wouldn't recommend this dish just because the grits were too gritty/grainy. If they improve the grits by making them thicker, real southern style grits, they would have a really good dish. Thai calamari (5/5) - Crispy and a good balance of sweet and spicy. I also tried the regular calamari and bang bang shrimp which were both good. The crab dip came with soft pita bread and a tasty dip. It needed a little old bay seasoning to be perfect but still very good.

The menu has so many tempting options that it was hard to choose, but we both landed on the Hot Chicken Sandwich with cayenne butter--and we're glad we did. It had the perfect amount of heat: enough to bring some spice without overpowering the flavor. On the side, I ordered the green beans after our bartender/server highly recommended them. Normally, green beans wouldn't be my first choice, but they were seasoned perfectly and ended up being one of the biggest surprises of the meal. My partner chose the mac and cheese, which was the superior side (although both were excellent). The service was friendly, attentive, and genuine throughout the evening. Despite arriving on a Friday night without a reservation, we had no trouble getting a table. They only accept reservations for parties of 5-8, so I'm glad we decided to take our chances. One of my favorite parts of the evening was chatting with another guest at the bar. He and his wife shared several entrées with their young son, and they couldn't stop raving about the short ribs--which their son happily claimed for himself by the end of the meal! They also highly recommended the salmon, so we've already got ideas for our next visit. The only real downside has nothing to do with the restaurant itself: parking in Scott's Addition can be a challenge. I'd recommend allowing yourself some extra time to find a spot or, even better, taking a rideshare so you can start enjoying your evening right away. Lunch. Supper! has earned its reputation as a longtime Richmond favorite. Great food, excellent service, and a relaxed atmosphere make this an easy five-star recommendation. We'll definitely be back.

Only street parking is available, but it wasn't too difficult to find a spot. The atmosphere: Very rustic vibe with some farmhouse-style decor. They have table, high-top, bar, and patio seating available. The food: I opted for the Chicken and Waffles with a side of cheese grits. I chose to make it hot for more spice. It's served with one whole waffle, two large pieces of fried chicken, and syrup on the side. The chicken was not seasoned as much as I hoped and wasn't as spicy as I expected, which was a bummer. The cheese grits were alright as well, but not as flavorful as I hoped. My partner ordered the Double Barrel Bowl, and he really enjoyed it. It was packed with pulled pork and was plentiful and filling. The service: Great and kind service from Mave (I believe that is her name but I'm not entirely sure). She informed us about the daily specials and was attentive throughout our visit.

The staff was kind enough to seat us earlier than our original reservation, which was a really nice touch and much appreciated. I was also happy to see a decent number of gluten-free options. While the main dishes are a bit limited, most of the sides are gluten-free. Now for the food, the crispy chicken sandwich was the highlight of the meal. The Smashburger was also delicious. I ordered the rockfish without the bun, while my dad had it with the bun, and both were great. The beet salad was fresh and flavorful, and the fries were solid. The mac & cheese, unfortunately, was not good at all. On the plus side, the hot cider was delicious. Desserts were a bit of a mixed thoughts. The bread pudding was definitely the best one we tried and really enjoyable. However, the chocolate peanut butter pie was a big disappointment. It was extremely hard and cold (not pie texture), the peanut butter wasn't creamy at all, and it honestly tasted more like a protein bar loaded with sugar. The crust also tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for a while--disappointing. Overall, we still enjoyed our visit and many of the dishes were great, but the dessert experience could definitely be improved.

They have a very limited menu at lunch so you have a few appetizers to choose from, a few salads and sandwiches and burgers, so straight up American food. It does skew southern with crab cake sandwich, pimento cheese and fried chicken. For an appetizer we decided to try the wings. They were good and came with ranch drizzled over the wings. For entrees my husband got their farm & oak burger with Cole slaw and I got their wedge salad with fried chicken. Both were good. The salad was nice and cold and crisp, which was appreciated on such a hot day. It did have too much dressing so next time I might ask for less dressing or have it on the side. I enjoyed the food, service was good and it is a pretty restaurant. I'll probably come back for supper some time to try some of their more in-depth meals.
