After a recommendation to try Toast, I stopped in for dinner and sat at the bar. The place was pretty lively for a weekday, but there was a baseball game happening later so that likely brought more of a crowd. The Cuban Reuben caught my eye as unique and figured the flavors would combine to create something that tasted like neither of the parent sandwiches. The quality of the sandwich ingredients was very good, but what struck me was how each bite either tasted like a Cuban or a Reuben. It was a nice experience to eat two sandwiches in one and have it be so delicious! I upgraded my side to the Bacon Brussel Sprouts which were fried perfectly. To finish off the meal, I ordered a piece of Key Lime Pie. It was the authentic variety that is more tart than sweet, which is as it should be! The parking lot construction for the nearby medical building is complete, so the parking lot was easier to navigate and park on this second visit. There were a few spaces available, despite the discourteous person parked in the drive doing who know's what. We were seated immediately upon entering, the atmosphere reminds me of an upscale sports bar, which I suppose Toast is on the surface. There are many TVs to get lost in, so it can be distracting during a date. Our server, Emma, was nice, she seemed a little, pre-occupied, but I don't remember being dissatisfied with the service, so it must have been perfectly fine. I ordered the beef bolognese and my partner chose the chicken and fries (reminded me of Chik-fil-a). Our meals were good, but not as flavorful and delicious as the Hanger steak I had the first time in. I had the sour beer on tap, and it was delicious. It had a strange name that I cannot recall. Don't bother. Less than mediocre chicken tenders. Barely any buffalo sauce on them. When I asked for more, was told they were "out". The ranch sauce didn't taste like any ranch I'd ever had. When we first sat, we were handed a specialty menu and the regular menu to have multiple selections to choose from. Now let's get down to the selected items, my dad had a crab omelet loaded with fluffy crab meat, house potatoes and rye bread. My sister had the hanger steak that she enjoyed without sauce (now that's a good steak) and her sides were fingerling potatoes, and fried egg. As for my other sister she had the chicken pesto sandwich which she rocked while eating the entire time because it was so good. Lastly for my meal, I'm pescatarian, a little limited in selections, but I found a fresh garden salad where all the greedier ta were fresh and hadn't been sitting for hours and a bowl of She Crab soup. read more

My boyfriend and I went around 11am on a weekend morning for brunch/lunch & we're really pleased with Toast! We each got a Bloody Mary and they were tasty. I'd been so curious about this place (a seemingly odd location for a sit-down sports bar as it's surrounded by drive thrus), and it was surprisingly good! They have happy hour daily until 6:30pm, and the drink deals are pretty solid. My friend and I shared truffle fries (also on happy hour) and the bacon brussel sprouts, and both were pretty dang good. The service was friendly and fairly quick. Overall, this is a pretty solid find. If you can find parking in this little village area, stop by this joint during happy hour. read more

My wife and I met another couple here for dinner on a Friday evening. We did have a reservation so that is never a bad idea if they take them. It is a fairly new place at this location. There is a small parking area. Unfortunately, we had to park in a gravel/dirt/mud area just after we had the melting from a snow storm.. so mud on shoes and cars. Hopefully there is a plan for addressing that issue as this area develops. The food and waitress were very good. Two of us had Salmon and the others a sandwich. The salmon was quite good. Before dinner, we ordered drinks. I had a beer but my friend got a bourbon. I was pleasantly surprised at the large list of available bourbons they had. I did not look at the prices but the list had a lot of variety. The overall experience was pleasant. The restaurant got fairly full but it was not overly loud like some places get. Our waitress was really sweet and the food we ordered was decent. We started with the blueberry donut holes which were really good and came with a vanilla dipping sauce and maple syrup. I ordered the chicken biscuit with sausage gravy and a fried egg, it was okay but I had to doctor it up a bit or it would have been bland. My boyfriend ordered the brunch burger and really enjoyed it. My biggest gripe was the OJ. It's supposed to be 12 oz and couldn't have been more than 6 oz and the glass wasn't filled. Met a friend at Toast and it didn't disappoint! There were so many choices - and she's vegetarian. We started with the sweet potatoes and I'd highly recommend you do, too. They're addictive. The place is nice and clean and the staff has always been nice. I've tried a few things and everything has been good. The steak salad is my current favorite. I come here about once or twice a month. I like that they participate in AAdvantage Dining, I like the location, and I like the bar. I usually eat here by myself for lunch or for dinner. I will say that the food is usually good, but it doesn't blow me away like a Toast location in the West End used to. I will also say that the food can be inconsistent (especially the brussel sprouts). One time I ate here with my wife and we ordered dinner entrees that were not good. Now I generally stick to the sandwiches and have had better experiences. The cocktail menu needs a little bit of a revamp as well. read more

Nashville hot chicken sandwich is worth returning for, not oily like "real" hot chicken but it's a nice crispy and tender chicken sandwich. Wings are decent but they are not crispy, even without sauce. Calamari gets a C+, doesn't seem fresh and they're not very tender.
