We were two adults eating there, the place has good ambient and smells excellent. We ordered the buttercup squash soup, beet and gorgonzola salad and as entrees the Veal picata and the special pork chops. As a dessert we got the cream Brule and the coconut cheese cake. Enzos this evening for Valentine's Day. I have to say that Enzos has always been our go to. Strong, consistent, complex flavors and menu items. We have not been in awhile. The menu is new, which is a great idea! Updates are always fun. In the last 16 years of going to Enzos, I have never ordered anything off the regular menu. Always the special board. Long ago they were open for lunch. Loved the Caesar salad and pizza lunch special... but I regress. This evening we ordered off the menu as the valentines menu didn't really feel special. Cod & meatloaf. A rib eye was an option but really? No shrimp, filet, lobster, something decadent?!? We ordered a bottle of Merry Edwards Pinot which was fabulous as always, the shrimp & veg tempura...so so. The beet salad. Fabulous. The Sicilian flatbread. Huge miss. The crust was paper thin and gorgeous. The toppings are not good. The crust was the best part. My husband had the Santa Fe pasta -one note. All white. Another miss. The chocolate/ banana dessert thankfully is still a win!!! I am legitimately sad about this. We travel a lot. Have eaten at fabulous places. And Enzos has been our go to place at home for over a decade. I have never even written a review until now! That's how important this place is to me!The chef is an amazing, award winning chef. I'm not sure if he has turned it over to someone else or is just tired. But I wish his inspiration was piqued. Please, please bring us back some glory. And get rid of all that artwork that looks like death!! What happened to the quirky, consistent bistro??? It felt like we were in a big city not a small town. You had a winning recipe. I love the Enzo. I went there lastnight. I had there salmon and trout. I also like the rice that came with it.

We didn't have reservations but they managed to squeeze us in after about 20 minutes. I had the Halibut special and my daughter had a pasta dish. The food and the service was wonderful. I can't say enough about how wonderful this restaurant is. read more

What a lovely surprise, to find this beautiful little bistro in the parking lot of an Albertsons's in West Billings. The service was excellent and the food was very good. I am anxious to try other dishes on the menu. It had a lovely ambience and though crowded the sound was never overwhelming. My guess is that we will be returning many times in the future. read more

I moved here from a west coast city where people are just snobs about gourmet food (small portions, over priced and not worth your time). So to dine at Enzo's was actually refreshing. The staff were attentive enough but not so much as to disturb your meal. And they treated you like a human being. The food was excellent. It had a great flavor. Dinner for me was a beet salad, rack of lamb and a glass of Argentinian red. My date had the Moroccan couscous. We shared the rock shrimp appetizer. Everything was delicious! Every table appeared to be taken this Friday night. The parking lot was full. Enzo is easily one of the top three restaurants in Billings. Service was excellent, as always. read more

We went back here recently after a multi-year absence, and the meal was great. In the past, the only problem I ever had here was consistency, but when we went this year it was a huge party, with apps, dinner, desserts, drinks, and everything was spot-on. Went to Enzo tonight. Food was fantastic and atmosphere even better. I had the veal and only reason I gave 4 stars is that I felt 4 oz. is a very small portion for $23. Only 4 asparagus as well. Little skimpy on the portion and I'm 155lbs so that's surprising. read more

A truly disappointing food experience. We were recommended to try it. The staff was great, however the wine we were recommended and the food were not even par. Salads were chunks of iceberg stems, chicken was unflavored, and the bread was cold and stale. It has huge potential, but seems complacent with what probably worked 10 years ago. read more

One of the top 3 restaurants in Billings - the food here competes with any of the finer restaurants in any major US city. Located on the West End (5 min from downtown), make a reservation first. Ate here recently, severely unimpressed. The one star is for the fab wine list (though it would be nice to see more by the glass) and for the ambience. The menu was so limited, I honestly struggled to find something I would even halfway consider. Settled on a pretty basic pasta dish that they still screwed up. Mediocre food quality and lackluster effort for a fine dining restaurant. At one time my family and me were regulars here but grew tired of the hackneyed menu and lack of innovation and stopped coming in. With family coming from out of town a couple of weeks ago, we returned and found it the same as before. First off, Enzo shares many common traits with other local upscale dinner places in Billings; it's primarily a grill that cooks a meat or fish portion and adds a warmed starch of some kind, usually a very basic mashed potato or simple pasta. Like other local places, that appears to be the extent of the effort and kitchen talent pool too; there are very few spices used and no imported cheeses, interesting vegetables or dishes that are wholly transformed from scratch raw ingredients like you'd normally expect (and demand) at a fine dining place. At a minimum, you won't find delicious fresh baked bread or distinctive homemade sauces here either. As a consequence, dishes are bland, very uninspired and almost always lukewarm. On my last visit I had a mixed green salad with raw celery slices (yuck!) and the Baja (Mexico) prawns "special" over risotto, a dish they've rotated in at times for many years. The charred prawns were poorly seasoned, tasteless and the small serving of risotto underneath was room temperature from a pre-made batch (not made to order, hot and fresh). I tasted a desert cheesecake from their static desert menu which was fine, but nothing new. I left very unimpressed; this type of restaurant is ok but absolutely nothing stands out as remarkable or even very good, let alone reaching for excellence. My fellow diners felt as I did about their meals. Service is polite and acceptable. Half a star should go to the dining space itself which is cozy and quaint, though a little bit dated. I am not sure I'd return again in the future, most likely not. The creative shine is long gone from this restaurant, they're just going through the motions. If I'm paying $30+ a person the food has to be extraordinary in at least some way and the food served here is pretty box standard. Billing's restaurants offer a lot of the same, one dimensional, amateurish food and lacking a forward looking chef, Bistro Enzo is sadly joining that tradition. read more
