We've eaten here twice and had one excellent meal and one very so-so meal. For the first meal, on Valentine's Day, we ordered full entrees and appetizers and all were delicious. Our server was also quite good. The second meal was last month and we each ordered pasta after a lackluster beet and goat cheese salad starter that was both light on beets and goat cheese. The scallops in my dish were tiny but plentiful, however the meal left us rather flat. And our server made terrible wine recommendations - my wife asking for a white that wasn't fruity and we both agreed he provided a glass that couldn't have been more so. But I'm sure we'll be back given the limited fine dining options in the area. read more

My husband and I went here for the first time! We had amazing service and amazing food! I had the Greek salad with steak and they cooked it perfectly and it tasted delicious! My husband had the Rustica with Italian sausage and his was amazing also. They accidentally forgot to put in our dinner rolls and they gave us a free desert because of it. Went to Bistro Enzo recently for my birthday dinner. It was supposed to be a special treat and I was so excited as Enzo has always been one of my favorite spots. I was so disappointed. The service was lackluster. The server did not ask me what I wanted to drink, I had to flag him down to ask for a glass of wine and then additionally for some cracked black pepper. I ordered the Fresh Herb Crusted Scallops crab and spinach risotto, saffron shellfish veloute, fried leeks. The risotto was crunchy, undone and tasteless, veloute - tasteless. Apprehensively we sent it back. Server came out with another order of risotto. It was, yet again, tasteless but this time incredibly thin, soupy and watered down vs undone. For a $45.00 plate...this was terribly, terribly disappointing. The kitchen offered us two scrumptious desserts on the house in apology, (we were planning to order dessert anyways as it was a birthday celebration), but they should have realized the only edible portion of my meal was four small scallops and credited us for the dish. Additionally, we ordered the Grilled 8oz. Beef Tenderloin. As it was presented, it looked absolutely delicious, however as my daughter, and then the rest of the table to discern, bit into it, the only flavor that was distinguishable was "char." Mashed potatoes gummy and cold. Enzo just isn't what it used to be. Would be hard for me to believe that James H. still runs the kitchen as he has always been a very talented chef. read more

This restaurant advertises their hours as 5:00pm - 11:00pm. I went in at 10:15pm on a Saturday night, and they said "Sorry we're closed". Having worked in the restaurant industry for 10+ years, I can say without hesitation that a restaurant should NEVER close early without notification (hang a sign up a few days in advance). Right there in the same parking lot is a restaurant called Mackenzie River Pizza. They close at 10pm on Saturdays, and I have walked in there at 9:55 and have been seated, given great service, and told to enjoy myself and not feel rushed...even on a night when they appeared to be slow and the roads were in terrible condition. Enzos is supposed to be a "nice" restaurant. But right off the bat, first time going in there, they disappointed me. Their doors weren't even locked. Very nice restaurant with friendly service. The food ranged from awesome to ick. Calamari was really good and perfectly cooked. The beet and arugula salad was delightful. We ordered the bistro fries as an appetizer. I thought they tasted like America's favorite fast food fries. Turns out they share a parking lot with McDonald's . Ordered the kid's mini pizza which was easily 12 inches across and was good. The kids ordered the classic Mac and cheese and loved it. Same for the shrimp and scallop pasta and the bistro burger. The two dishes that were meh were the pork special (pork schnitzel) (pictured). It was reminiscent of chicken fried steak and served with a mushroom pasta. The pasta was excellent but the pork left something to be desired. It was not well executed. There wasn't enough sauce from the pasta to put on the pork so it was quite a bit dry and just kind of blah. I would hate to smother it in gravy, but it needed something. The other picture was the steak Caesar salad. The Caesar vinaigrette was weird. It was like they were trying to make real Caesar dressing but decided it wasn't quite right so they called it a vinaigrette. The most interesting was the cracker that was with the salad. No shit, it tasted like the bubbles off a saltine cracker and was just as thin. It was definitely impressive that they could make a cracker that thin. Service was good until we got our food and then they kind of forgot about us. Took a while to get our check which isn't that big of a deal, but with a three-year-old in tow, no one wants him getting bored! There'll be hell to pay!!! read more

The food was prepared perfectly. So tasty! We were seated right away at 9pm, no waiting. Staff was friendly and attentive.

Another delicious meal, great atmosphere and service. My party was a little surprised that shortly after we paid the check, we were asked by the host, if we could leave as another party was waiting for the table. It was a first for each of us, although we're all pretty experienced at waiting for tables at restaurants. I'm not sure what would have been done had we ordered dessert or coffee, ask another group, I suppose. It was politely done and I'm sure the other party appreciated it. Impressed with the steps they have taken to prevent the spread of Coronavirus. Staff had masks on, tables were distanced from each other, and the menus are disposable. We were there with friends and everyone enjoyed their meals. Three of us had the special...seafood pasta. It used to be on their menu. One had the burger, and he said it was one of the best he's had. This is the best restaurant in Billings, hands down. The only thing I haven't tried is the kids menu, but I'm sure it's delicious too. They have tasty, interesting specials and good seafood (as anyone in Montana knows, this is a rarity). My mouth waters just thinking about the filet mignon. When I was in France I never had a better crme brule than Enzo's. The service is impeccable, knowledgeable, and friendly. My favorite dish is either, as I said before, the filet mignon, or their rock shrimp pasta. The waiter wasn't that attentive or really even good at his job...fumbling on rattling off the dinner specials, reaching across the table to serve with barely a 'scuse me,' asking us how things were just minutes after half of our party of five had sampled their entree. I have not been to Enzo's in a few years and was gravely disappointed tonight. The waitress was rude. Never apologized for forgetting parts of our order but still charged us for food we did not receive. The salad guy essentially threw our salads at us and didn't care who ordered what. The salmon was over cooked. Salads were good though. Entrees were very unremarkable. It's always disappointing when you pay for a meal you could have made 10x better at home. read more

Great restaurant in Billing Mt. We were seated right away on this Friday night without a reservation. Ordered a bottle of wine and was served in Reidel glasses, nice touch. We all ordered the Rack of Lamb and was excellent. We finished with deserts from a very nice assortment. Service was fast and friendly. Worth a visit. read more

I've only been here for brunch twice and so far my impression is just ok. Service can be slow and the food is sub par. If you don't want to wait an hour or longer next door at Grand Lake Kitchen, then you can likely walk up to Barlago and grab a table, no problem. Bistro Enzo was an enjoyable experience in a smaller town mainly comprised of chain restaurants. The ribeye was cooked perfectly and complimented by a fantastic sauce, asparagus, and puréed potatoes. The crème brulée was dead on and I left indulged. Very nice and friendly service in the town of Billings as a whole. I would recommend a later reservation at this location as the restaurant shows well in the evening and feels more intimate. read more

FOod was okay-- But we are most impressed with the Calamari--- We recently went to Monterray, CA-- and tried all the "best" calamari-- as it was in the Capital land of Calamari-- and surprisingly, Enzo's beat em' all... they give you a decent amount and if you order to-go... they give you bread with oil and vinegar too! We enjoyed everything we ordered at Enzo and the service was stellar. The tempura appetizer had excellent flavor although it could have been a little crisper. The black bean soup of the day was a real vegetarian treat. My order of duck breast served on udon noodles and vegetables was superb, with the only downside being the skin was a bit thick and tough, rather than crispy.
