When traveling it's so convenient to eat in the hotel, I appreciate that. Realizing is isn't always the best of the best food for some odd reason this quality is often hard to accomplish. The meal was good, but the salmon wasn't great. When dining out at a nicer looking establishment, I'd expect a thicker, pinker piece of salmon. Staying here at the Marriott so not a lot of options in this location when it comes to places to go for food. The food is not bad, portions are pretty good but the prices are crazy. $50 for two breakfast meals and one coffee, before tip just seems crazy to me. The greeters are very pleasant but the servers, not so much. They do not seem like they want to be here. Never asked if I needed anything else and never took my dirty plates. The dinning area is very nice though with some window seats with a nice view. read more

I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak with sweet potato fries! it was so good but the portion of sandwich was smaller especially for the price; however it was fulfilling! (Reason for 4 ) I ordered the meal to go with the bartender who was kind and even offered me a water as I waited. The entire staff from ordering to delivering the food was great! The restaurant is inside the hotel but you could dine outside on the patio as you look across the beautiful lake. I would definitely order again! read more

Menu at tables did not match menus in rooms at Mariott. Prices were extremely high for quality. If you are stuck at the hotel it is food however I think ordering delivery would have been a better choice. First, my server was very polite and efficient. The crunchy French toast was yummy! So why the 2 stars? After I was seated and ordered I noticed there were multiple TVs tuned to Fox News. I found this a poor choice for a general audience. Personally I fee that being subjected to the 24 hour news cycle over any meal is unappetizing. I did request it to be changed which management agreed to but both managers were unashamed of mocking my request in plain view. Won't be back to this restaurant or this Marriott. read more

My husband and I come to this area occasionally, and we usually stay at another hotel, but this time we stayed at Marriott and loved it. We went down to the bar after dinner and Trish was our bartender. She was genuinely kind, not only to us, but all of her guests. Breakfast starts at $14.00 for a Continental breakfast, $14.50 for a "Full American" breakfast, and $17.00 for the breakfast buffet. They also serve lunch and dinner serving a variety of items including Crab Cakes, Calamari, Salads, and Soups. On nice days, there is a terrace that you can sit on that overlooks the canal. That being said, if you are staying here, this is pretty good as far as hotel restaurants go, but it is a pricey option and there are better and more moderately priced options nearby. read more

Located in the Dallas Las Colinas Marriott this restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in a comfortable space with servers that take their jobs seriously. I also had a chance to meet the manager, Tena, who was great . . .personable and friendly and wanting to make everything the best it can be. The menu is a mix of sandwiches, entrees, salads and appetizers. If you just want drinks and a snack- it's perfect for that. If you want dinner- they also do that well. I ordered a filet and a salad. Since I didn't want the potatoes they swapped the salad out for the potatoes at no charge which was a nice touch. The steak came with brussel sprouts (my mom would be so happy!) . . .a whole lot of them and while they were okay . . .they were still BRUSSEL SPROUTS!! Never my favorite but not the restaurants fault! The food came up quickly and the steak was perfectly cooked. Tania, my server, and bartender extraordinaire was great! She took everything in stride considering it was busy and it looked like they were down a couple of people. She knew the menu- offered up suggestions and poured a pretty darn good martini! She even made small talk which I know she didn't have the time to do but that I appreciated given I was alone. I'm sure I will be at her bar again this week. All in all- a decent choice for a hotel restaurant. Now if only I can get them to do something about those BRUSSEL SPROUTS! Ha! read more

Food is what you would expect in a hotel-average quality and overpriced. The service is friendly but slow-the wait staff are a bit inattentive. Great place to grab lunch... it's a bit pricy but the quality of food is quite good. Marriott is a brand and the quality definitely matches those higher expectations. I had a club sandwich- turkey and cuts of bacon were excellent and is what you would expect in the perfect club sandwich. I never had to ask for drink refills and they even gave me a Pepsi to go. There is a nice lounge bar outside the bistro, apparently no happy hour but that do have a nice patio to sit out on and watch the canal. read more

I rarely feel compelled to write a Yelp review, and as a self-proclaimed foodie, I thought it even less likely that I'd feel compelled to write a review for a Marriott restaurant in Las Colinas, TX - but the service at breakfast this morning blew me away. Everyone on the staff was attentive, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure I had a great breakfast experience. Multiple staff members checked up on me in a genuinely helpful, not overbearing way, and they were all nice people, making a point to joke and talk with me as I was eating alone. The food was good, I had an omelette with ham, onion, spinach, and brie, and at the end of my meal they brought out a to go cup so I could make myself a second cup of hot tea for the road, which was much appreciated. Basic hotel breakfast nothing special but man do they overcharge for such basic good, it felt wrong paying for the food to be honest. Got 2 different omelettes and none of them had any flavor or seasoning, both toasts were almost burnt and it's sad to say the hash browns (which they got wrong because I asked for potatoes) were the best part of the plate thanks to the Tabasco sauce which added some kind of flavor to the plate. Save money and make things better for you by driving to a McDonalds, Sonic, Whataburger,... any of those places will provide a better breakfast. Didn't stay at the Marriott but attended an early event at the Irving Convention Center. This was walking distance so we decided to pop in for breakfast around 8am on a Saturday. We were seated immediately and offered the breakfast buffet for $17. Totally worth it. An omelette alone runs around $14, so a few bucks more and you can get waffles, meats, oatmeal, fruits, juice, and pastries. We really REALLY wanted brunch. Without driving to the other side of Dallas, we gave this place a try. In the Marriott, how could you go wrong? Service was fast and friendly. Atmosphere was hotel-y, but we did have a view of some water. The food was decent: Mid-sized portions of decent food. Price was a bit much for what we got. Adequate fare for a hotel restaurant, but nothing to write home about. We rolled up about an hour before lunch service ended, and got sat right away, the restaurant was pretty empty. Score. The server was very friendly and got our order and was happy to make a few substitutions. I ordered a club sandwich, no mayo, with a salad instead of fries. My husband ordered a chicken sandwich, also with salad instead of fries. The sandwiches came out promptly... however, I think mine had extra mayo (though I was way too hungry to send it back). My husband's was dry. He asked for a side of mayo and mustard, and it took a while to get it there, and they came in VATS. Not that I'm complaining, but that seemed a bit wasteful. We finished up, and had to flag someone down to pay as it looked like the restaurant was closing. Later, we ended up ordering room service. I asked for a grilled cheese and my husband asked for a turkey sandwich (both from the kids menu - we didn't want anything fancy). What came up was a grilled cheese - but charged about double what the kids menu price was, and a turkey burger. We called and said we just wanted a turkey sandwich but got a turkey burger, and they brought up a turkey CLUB (after the lady on the phone said "turkey club" and I said "no, no, turkey SANDWICH" twice), but didn't charge us for it, so it was fine. Moral of the story - you may not get exactly what you want, but you'll probably like it. :) read more

This was a nice surprise! Staying at the Marriott Hotel on a business trip and decided to try their restaurant. It was great! Very fresh Cobb Salad and a great Mexican soup! Service was outstanding and the price was as expected. I would definitely recommend it if you were too tired to drive or go somewhere else. The hotel is a bit isolated; but the food will warm you up! read more
