I had typed up this review and had forgotten about posting it until I was eating in the area again (Cork & Pig - Excellent!) and was reminded why I was so upset in the first place . Drafted review below: 5/29/26 The first time I went it was pretty nice , clearly good enough that I'd want to give them another try! Unfortunately, I should have tried somewhere new instead. For starters, we sat inside this time around. It's reminiscent of a cafeteria inside, the decor is okay, but it's SO loud and echoey. Patio seating is definitely the better choice. Our server, Crystal (according to the receipt) only came by twice. She didn't realize my food was overcooked and that we didn't have silverware because she never came back after taking our order. My friend had to get up to find silverware. The hostess helped us out, but the first set we were given was dirty so he actually had to get up again to get another one. We took about 30 minutes to finish up our meal and then waited for a while for our server to pop back up and offer us the check. $68 for 2 people and poor service. Not cool! -- My meal yesterday (also brunch) was so much more enjoyable, all around the same price point and in the same area. Had an absolutely fabulous visit to this breakfast/brunch location. Was greeted warmly upon entry and seated immediately. The restaurant was very clean and spacious. Our server, Katy, was fantastic and her recommendations were spot on. Her service remained top-notch throughout our visit. This is one of the best breakfasts I've had in a very long time. The corned beef hash brisket was tender and flavorful. The Cajun shrimp omelette was to die for!!! Packed with the shrimp and vegetables. The coffee was fresh and delicious. The hashbrowns were good. This might have been the best French toast I've had in my life!! So fluffy and delicious! Syrup paired perfectly! The eggs were definitely fresh and real eggs, not powder. At first, Bruncheon was made for people who wanted to fill their Instagram feeds, now it fills my belly. This is my updated review. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - The best part of Bruncheon is that it's located in Irving-Las Colinas's Water Street area. It over looks Lake Carolyn and has plenty of outdoor seating. Inside, it's a large open dining area with a high ceiling and ornate lighting. It's elegant and casual at the same time. 1 Star. Service - On my multiple visits, service has been great. The menu is pretty overwhelming, but our server never rushed us and magically appeared when we were ready to order. Coffee mugs were always filled. 1 Star. Food - On my most recent visit, I discovered their coffee menu and splurged on an Iced Crème Brule Latte. It was cold, sweet (hint of caramel and vanilla), and gave me a caffeine + sugar rush to wake me up. I went with the Blueberry Cheesecake pancakes. The pancakes created a makeshift sandwich with a blueberry/cheesecake compote in the center. Yes, also made for Instagram this sweet bite was sweet, creamy blueberry bliss. I came to this location last month after a long travel morning for work. I found it on Google Maps as I was in DFW and decided to give it a try as it was close to the destination I was in there pretty early in the morning, and there weren't many customers, so the service and attention to detail by the waiter with spot on. I ordered a classic breakfast with Texas style French toast and a caramel Brulé latte. Came here to have a catch up with my sister for a Sunday brunch. Hadn't been to las colinas before but was pleasantly surprised by the walkability within the complex itself and the beautiful views on a sunny afternoon. Bruncheon was a nice choice for the day and we decided to split the chicken chilaquiles with red salsa (only because they were out of green!) and the waffles and berries. Both were great. Only complaint is I wish the salsa was spicier but we loved the balance between the savory and sweet. The waffles were perfectly cooked and still a little fluffy. Came here on a Saturday for the first time. We had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated and then the waitress let us know. It was about another 20 minutes when we sat down to order our food for food to be ready. Extensive menu so there's something for everyone. Service was great though our waitress was really nice and helpful when we ask questions about the menu. It wasn't too loud in there, but I do wish they had some type of music or something playing Now for the food! Strawberry cheesecake French toast 7/10: decent portion size the eggs and bacon were cooked how I liked. I don't recommend coming to this place. Food is so mediocre and you can find a better quality and value somewhere else. Customer service was a big fail too. Server named Crystal was not the nicest person! I can't believe when we were paying our bill that she demanded a tip! The way she said it was so rude. She doesn't deserve one to begin with. After taking our orders, she did not come back until we ask for the bill and then offered a refill of water. I don't know why some people are still working in that kind of environment if their customer service skill is very incompetent. Came early on a Sunday morning for brunch since I heard this place gets busy quickly which is exactly what I watched happen as soon as we were seated. They have outdoor and indoor seating and a very expansive menu. What's cool is lunch is also served all day so we enjoyed a dish off of the breakfast menu and one dish off of the lunch menu. The coffee is delicious. Service was a little bit slow, my cappuccino was cold the first time around, I asked them to heat it up which they did but it took a bit. Food came out quickly and was delicious, however because of busy they were getting it seems, getting the check and closing out took quite a bit. The menus were huge, literally, and there were so many options to choose from. I highly recommend looking at the menu beforehand. I finally decided on the strawberry cheesecake French toast and my cousin ordered the chicken and waffles. This place definitely makes food for the 'gram. everything is big and picture worthy, but with that being said, it can be a little pricey. We went there for brunch, not realizing that it was Mother's Day. Luckily, we got there early and were seated right away. Huge selection of brunch entrees. My entree included a choice of 2 blueberry or chocolate chip pancakes, 2 bacon, 2 sausage links (pork or turkey), 2 eggs any style. The order also came with a huge biscuit and an apple turnover. I could only eat the eggs and bacon and brought everything else home. The blueberry pancakes my wife ordered came 3 to an order and she could only eat 1 1/2 and got a doggy bag for the rest. We looked for a place halfway between Fort Worth and Dallas to meet our son for a brunch. Thanks to the Yelp reviews we found this gem. Our waiter was really nice and greeted us within a couple minutes of sitting down. One thing to be wanted about their menu is huge so you may look it over before you get there. So many options it's almost overwhelming. I ordered the latte to drink and was a little disappointed that the don't have nonfat or skim milk as an option. The latte was good but a little pricey at $6 for a small coffee cup. My wife had an omelette that came with French toast and I ordered an omelette with blueberry pancakes. Unfortunately, the kitchen was not paying attention and we had to send both of our orders back as they were way off. The waiter brought me chocolate chip pancakes and the wrong omelette and my wife was delivered an omelette completely wrong. Now once we got to a point of eating I was really happy. The omelette was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The same with the blueberry pancakes. The portions are good sizes too. It's slightly pricey at $100 for four of us. Stopped by here for a quick bite to eat before starting the day, so a large component of my rating is just based on the açaí bowl that I ordered (since I did not try any other food). The server was very friendly, but service speed was average. Most of the tables were filled when we went around 11am on a Sunday, so there was a nice hum of conversations without it being too loud. I ordered the mango kiwi açaí bowl, and while everything was delicious, the kiwis were very underripe and tart. The other fruit that topped the açaí was fresh, but there was no chia seed to be found anywhere (per menu description). For almost $11, I expected more out of the açaí bowl. It isn't something I would recommend going out of your way to order. Overall, I had a positive experience, and I would come back to try some of their hot foods next time. read more

The place is gorgeous inside, though it's a pretty big space with only one ladies' room, so be prepared for a line. And if you're hoping to "watch the show" at the small counter, brace yourself--the counter's so high you'll feel like a kid peeking over the grown-up table. Since this place just opened, fingers crossed they're ironing out the kinks with the food, which was a bit meh (and pricier than your average Texas joint). Hubby had the migas, which were supposed to have "freshly fried tortillas," but they were more like stale and chewy disappointments--no bueno. The hash browns were barely browned, and the corned beef was SLICED on top--seriously? I want my corned beef chopped or shredded, not just slapped on top. This place was disgusting from the inside out. When you enter, the floor are dirty and sticky; they haven't been cleaned since who knows when... and the food isn't better. I ordered the Nova Lox Benedict with hollandaise sauce on the side. The hollandaise sauce looked disgusting; it was lumpy and it had separated. The poached eggs were solid in the middle; like rocks. Any Benedict lover knows poached egg are meant to have a runny yolk. The white should be cooked and firm, while the yolk remains liquid. This is what makes a poached egg distinct from other egg preparations like scrambled or fried eggs. Save your time and money, just go to Denny's. read more
