    Bright, cool inside area

We headed to Bayside for lunch on a sunny Summer Friday and opted for Bite Into Maine. I had heard good things. The inside space is bright and clean and well air conditioned. The counter staff were friendly and patient while we made selections. We both ordered the smash burger, but were left feeling like it wasn't really a smash burger, even though it was good. I was also really hoping for fries or tots, but they don't have either. They provide crunchy kettle chips as a side. They have lots of outside seating for you to use.

Pulled pork on ciabata with a small side of coleslaw and ginger brew. Delicious!

Great casual spot off the main streets. Delicious food and soft drink choices. Love it.

I was excited to find a spot in Portland that had a Connecticut-ish style roll with butter on it. I was expecting for it to be a full on Connecticut-style roll but to my surprise, instead of biting into warm buttery lobster, it was a cold lobster roll with warm butter ladled over top. It wasn't a big deal though bc the lobster was still quality and very delicious. The chowder was a traditional chowder and besides needing a little salt and pepper, was a slightly above average chowder compared to the many examples I had around the Portland area.

We went to Bite into Maine for lunch. It was our first time there, so we purchased 2 6oz lobster roll flights (so 6 mini lobster rolls each a different flavor). This was my first experience with lobster roll so I was surprised that they were cold. Not sure if it's sacrilege to have them warmed up, but I think it could have been better that way. Anyways onto the different flavors. Maine was delicious. I think the mayo based lobster rolls were my favorite. The creaminess and the zing of mayo work well with the lobster. Picnic had some coleslaw in it which added some nice contrast and texture. Connecticut is probably for the purists as it's just lobster and butter. Chipotle mayo had a little kick to it which was nice after having more simple flavors. I really wanted to enjoy the curry one and while the flavor was good, I don't usually associate curry with coldness. I think the lobster was warm it would have been better. Wasabi wasn't for me but that was my boyfriend's favorite. I enjoyed being able to taste all the flavors! I wish they had fries over chips (not really a fan of chips) but I guess good for me and my health? Service was pretty fast and the place was clean. Lots of customers there despite it being a weekday. Had a cool retro vibe and would love to get a whole Maine lobster rolls again some day.

We have a Bite into Maine in Scarborough but they're not open yet. Decided to go to Diamond st, Portland location to have a flight of three lobster rolls. Maine with mayo & chives Connecticut with just butter Picnic with coleslaw, butter, celery salt. Sensational lobster rolls- love them all Extremely fresh & 4.5z seems to be plenty for me. I couldn't finish the 3rd one so I'll be eating it later. Served with cape cod potato chips. I believe that cape cod chips will be no longer. The question is what company will replace the chips?? (BTW) I didn't catch her name but the young lady who took my order was a spot on employee!! The only bad news was, I asked for a taste of the lobster bisque & sorry to say I didn't like it at all. Will I be back- damn sure about that. I'm taking one of my flights home with me to eat it later. Damn I'm in heaven. I hope Bite into Maine will add lobster ghee to their menu. HighRoller lobster ghee is the most incredible add on. Figure out how to come up with a clone.

I had 8 different lobster roll spots around Maine when I visited, and can say that Bite Into Maine without a doubt has some of the best lobster, freshest flavors, and a great sized roll both the warm/cold versions. Easy to order - I had take out and ate in two different days. Served with a side of chips, both rolls had nicely buttery toasted buns and the meat was plentiful. I particularly liked the tossed in mayo because it was light but allowed the sweet flavor of the lobster to shine. It was fantastic.

Ambiance is good, large windows with lots of light. Articles hung on the wall about all the awards and accolades they have garnered. The staff was very nice, friendly, helpful answering any and all questions. The Food was pretty great. I tried the clam chowder, it was very tasty. And the portion was pretty big too. It was only like $7. Warm, creamy, and full of great seafood. I also tried the Lobster grilled cheese mac and cheese. It was $26 but very good and delicious. It was one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches I have had. Full of lobster, mac and cheese, it was cheesy and definitely something I would eat again. They also have a food truck spot over by the lighthouse.

Bite Into Maine started out as a food truck, and we did see their food truck at a brewery and by the lighthouse, but we went to their brick and mortar restaurant. They offer a variety of unique lobster rolls, including a flight option. Our group tried the curry, chipolte, Connecticut style and sriracha with asian pear slaw. We also had the lobster BLT and grilled cheese. All of the items were fresh and the lobster was very good. Their buns stood out ! The BLT was on a brioche style bun and was toasted perfectly. All the dishes were served with Cape cod potatoe chips . They have limited indoor and outdoor seating. We were fortunate to grab a picnic table outside to enjoy our food. Definitely worth stopping in or getting food at one of their food trucks.

Looking to have a lobster roll for lunch so my husband decided to come in town for a "good" one. We did a lobster roll trip through Portland last year and did not come here for what ever reason. We were able to get a front row parking spot which to me means this is meant to be. Raining out so when we pulled up it looked like a line of people waiting to order, that was not the case. Every table was taken and only a handful of people waiting for their food. I ordered the mayo and chives large roll and hubby had the Lobster Mac and cheese. Both were very good. No pictures of the Mac and cheese since he dove right in! Plenty of lobster meat and a good balance of mayo and chives and the birouch bun was buttered and toasted perfectly. Looks like we will return!

After a stop at Orange Bike Brewing and seeing the gluten-free menu Bite Into Maine does as a partnership gave us a craving for lobster. We have tried their Allagash Brewing trailer location before but first time here at this location. Service was friendly and food came out quick! Prices were roughly what you can expect from lobster prices in Portland. They have both some indoor and outdoor seating available with some wall art including a giant lobster one. During a packed day I imagine all seating may be gone but can do takeout if needed. Both my wife and I were feeling their lobster BLT that has two different lobster amounts with the smaller being $22 and larger was $28. We both enjoyed the smaller lobster version and were happy. They came on a delicious grilled ciabatta bun with exactly what you expect on a BLT along with a delicious topping of lobster! If you are craving some lobster this is a spot worth checking out. Typically some free parking is available and plenty of spots within walking distance nearby.

From left to right, The Maine, Connecticut and Picnic. The Maine actually beat out my favorite Connecticut. They were ALL good though.

The lobster rolls were really good. This was the first stop we made when we got to Portland. Not much else to be said here, just try it for yourself.

We came here for lobster rolls and I would tell you that I was happy with the butter lobster rolls. The other lobster rolls were solid, but I really like the butter ones more than the other flavors. We try their mini versions because we couldn't make up our mind and we were happy with that decision. Good customer service and it was very fast. Lobster rolls are very expensive but it is what it is, I wouldn't mind coming back again to try more lobster rolls at other restaurants that are from this ranch clothing list was clean and they also had the main sodas.

Such a good lobster roll that we got it 2x while in Portland. We got it once at the brick and mortar while brewery hopping and another time from the food truck at the Portland Headlight Light House.

She's was very accommodating with my deconstructed requests for both Sandwiches. An A+ employee. My Market sandwich (eggplant) was just okay. The bread was for a better word "stale" I could hardly bite into it. The same was true of the turkey ceasar hoagie. However the turkey was very good. I'm going to have to think hard if I ever want to try another hoagie from Ramona's. I know the owners are both respected chefs in their own right but I'm having a tough time justifying whether I will return.

Urg. I was excited to try this place but the egg sandwich I got (the Ramona with broccoli rabe,…read morebacon, American cheese) fell short. The roll was ever so slightly stale and the broccoli rabe had chili in it (so even though I asked for chili on the side it's still in the vegetable part). I also have a total pet peeve about American cheese. In this instance, it just made the sandwich have a gluey internal texture. I often find it is gourmet places trying to be trendy that use American cheese as though they are able to rebrand it. Sharp American or not, the cheese would have been way better in my opinion had it been cheddar or Swiss or really anything. To be fair, the bacon was well-cooked and the eggs were nicely scrambled. Although the sandwich idea is original (broccoli rabe on a breakfast sandwich), I found the flavors just didn't come together. For what it's worth, service was friendly and efficient. Moreover, like a few other places on the East End, I find this place is just sort of too curated, overly self-conscious, and trying too hard to be trendy. I would take a straightforward breakfast sandwich over one that comes with a side of merch and a Brooklyn-hipster-like environment any day.

Thinner crust, decent structure, more structured than a NY, less structured than a Sicilian or a good grandma style. It's a little lighter than a Sicilian or grandma in terms of crust. "Heaviness" is pretty subjective depending on the toppings. The pizza - Soppresatta was packed with flavor, salty, spicy, little sweet from a touch of honey and a very fresh, slightly punchy sauce - keeps some acidity and tastes lively. The crust was delicious, from what I read, this is a sourdough crust. Definitely had some good character and flavor to it.. I got this heated before eating it. The vegan special - obviously I'm not vegan, but that pizza looked phenomenal. Had to try it. This one did not get heated up as it was suggested to leave it cold (logical considering it basically has a salad on top). I don't know what the vegan cheese was but it tasted like a whipped ricotta/goat cheese would. The fresh tomato, pickled peppers and red onion all played perfectly together. I'd certainly go back here. A little on the pricey side but I think it rang in around $18 on these 2 slices (yes, pictured is considered a slice of each) I was plenty satisfied.
