I've been here before, but this time not overly thrilled. About 2 months ago came for lunch with a friend and had a delicious pizza pie. Moist, hot fresh ooey, gooey cheese. It was delicious. Ordered some sodas and was told the ice machine was out of order. Fast forward 2 months, and first off, the machine is still not working. Maybe it's a small detail, but to me it screams a lack of care for the business and the customer. Are they doing so badly they can't afford to fix or replace the ice maker ? When my ice maker at home broke I had it fixed within days. It's been months and they have done nothing to remedy this. I did order some pizza slices, since I would never finish an entire pie. I was served two over cooked dried out pieces of pizza with pepperoni on top. I was so disgusted and disappointed. Yes a fresh hot pie is always a first go to, but if you know the slices you have are disgusting, don't serve them to customers. So adding it up, no ice for soda and dried out pizza slices that my dog could use for a chew toy equals one star. If I had to be fair, tonight's experience would be a negative one star or zero if I could. read more

I randomly decided to get pizza w/ my friend Charlie literally right after eating sushi. (who does this?) Foodies. On a cheat day. Anyway, they definitely got the thin slice part to perfection. Tastes like NYC, but I think they use rice flour on the bottom, they should use corn meal so the steam can escape and you'd get a crispier pie. Until they make that tweak, it's a 3 star pie. Pizza in South Florida is a legit controversial topic. There are private social media groups that exist In our community where one person mentions some decent pizza and I swear no one gets any work done for a span of 3-8 business days. Luckily, we have finally all come to an agreement on the best pizza around. The consensus? Not only is there no best SoFlo pie, but we can't even agree on what's actually good. Thin crust. Large slice. Sauce?! Come on. I do like my sauce on the sweet side and require a large wedge of delight, but if I'm handed a slice that I can't single-handedly manually brandish? Sadface. Running errands in Boca, super hungry, having read this place is on the upper echelon on all the Delray/Boca forums... hubby spots it, not me. But it had name recognition to me at this point and mama was hungry. Walk in, see no window of slices, thought I remembered they sold slices, ask behind the counter to a fellow that laughs bc he doesn't work there, but person that does says yes they do sell slices. We order, we hang out. I took a pic of their pepperoni pie bc it looked delicious. Which is why I don't type the rest of this lightly... Look at the pic. It looks GOOD. I saw at least 1or 2 more pies go out when ours were out of the oven as well. The pizza slices looked good and gave me hope. I took a pic for you Yelpers before lifting those ribbed paper grease absorber plates to my mouth with high hopes. But it fell! AGH. My favorite bite of NYC pizza is the first one bc it hangs off the paper plate but doesn't hang! The crispy fresh crust is stiff enough so that the first bite you get of the slice is pointing straight at your lips. No support needed! It's the best bite. The problem is, you think you'll have that bite with other pizzas. But you won't. You'll never have to deal with snow and you may never remember what it feels like to have your core temp dip so low that you don't remember how to be warm. But, eventually, if you stay far away from that glorious pizza we took for granted, you may forget what makes the real thing so good. read more

Super disappointed. Ordered the lasagna pizza (ricotta, sauce, and meatball)... there was NO ricotta. Literally tasted like a cracker with a little sauce? I added prosciutto for extra and there was barely any at all, mind you it was 4 dollars to add it. ALSO, the toppings and sauce stopped halfway up the pizza. I'm now going back to Joe's. The pizza is still great and now that I'm vaccinated I'm not so concerned about the staff not wearing masks. If you want just good old fashioned NY style pizza this is the place to go. Two slices and a bottle of water or a can of soda is $6 (maybe $7) plus tax. Have you ever had really, really bad food and wonder.... does the owner eat this junk or do they just serve it to the paying public? My Chicken Parm Hero had chicken that was clearly not fresh and in no way should have been served and as such I had to throw the garbage in the garbage. I also had a Sicilian Pie and it was just bread with dried out cheap toppings. I've not had a Sicilian Pie that awful in NYC or even down in South Florida and it tasted like no one really gave a damn to serve a decent product. This has been my go to for a couple years. It's good pizza and delivery is fast(ish). Using the slice app I decided to try the thin and CRISPY and paid an extra $5! However, when I got the pizza it was exactly the same as every other pizza I have ever received from them (and no eggplant on it which I paid extra for). I called they said they would refund the eggplant but not the $5 for the crispy. As the photo shows, this is not crispy, it's limp. They lost a customer over $5. I know people who've ordered from here numerous times, so I decided to try it for the First time, and I was thoroughly disappointed. The pasta was the only redeeming part of the meal, even though we were given meat balls and spaghetti after ordering chicken Parmesan with no notice or opportunity to refund. The garlic rolls were the worst part. Browning and burnt on the outside and raw dough on the inside and sitting in a pool of grease in the container. This was bold for the store to offer to customers and put them at risk of food poisoning. The pizza was so soaked through with grease to the point of nausea. Never getting food from here again and will beseech everyone to stead clear of manhattan joes pizza Negative 5 star experience. Boo. This review is strictly for delivery & pizza. My coworker came into my office and asked me if I wanted to chip in for lasagna pizzas with a few other coworkers. Apparently quite a few of us were hungry & with the weather being so bad, nobody was going to leave the building either. So, that was the start of our pizza party lunch! I have had lasagna pizza before at a place in Plantation & I just knew Manhattan Joe's would nail it & they did! They are near my office & I never tried them until today. You see, they have another store on Military Trail in Boca & I have been there several times and enjoyed everything. I totally forgot they are near my office and now I am looking forward to having yummy salads delivered to me at work. The menu is larger here than at their other store and since I never leave for lunch, this is perfect for me. Today they delivered a few lasagna pies to my office and every slice went, that's right-not one slice was left over! We all loved the lasagna pizza, it was so good & exactly what we needed on this rainy day. What is lasagna pizza? It's a large pie with ricotta cheese, meatballs and mozzarella cheese & topped with dollops of a zesty marinara sauce. The pizza was thin and very crispy just the way I like it. Thank you Manhattan Joe's for delivering to us during the storm. Next week I will try one of their awesome salads. I can't believe I "forgot" their second location was so close to my job! Delivery was quick, the pizzas arrived hot & my coworkers and I were not hungry anymore which means we were all happy for the rest of the day. No color at all on bottom and too much excess flour, but definitely good pizza Part i can not get over: The sign that says "Face Covering required" But the only 2 employees in there were not wearing a face covering. This is just a lack of respect for all of your customers who come in and support you through a pandemic. My workplace offered discounts on first time restaurants at restaurants.com and I had a 10 dollar off 30 dollars or more to use at this place. I used this coupon once before here and the manager took it with no issues. We thought the pizza was worth the drive from west palm. We went back last week and the owners son refused to use the coupon. He said that my coupon is a scam and that he will Not accept it even tho it was used before. He said that manager is fired for doing so and the owner does not know about the coupons. They have no clue how the coupons arrived on the website that I paid for. I asked him to work with me because I paid for these coupons etc and the owners son refused. He stated he would speak to his " dad " and get back to me and never did. I love supporting small businesses but this mom Pop shop sure does not care for his clients. The least they could have done is accept it this time and let Me know no more or at least offer to take the coupon off the website no one has bad experiences anymore as he stated he sees this coupon at least twice a week. read more

I am 3 for 3 from Manhattans. And that's saying alot I think. It's easy for a pizza to get cold, or show up late, or get cooked a little wrong at least once in a while. The other day a buddy and me were hanging out and decided to get a pizza. I explained the quickest and probably the best was Manhattan Joe's. We ordered the meat lovers. about 15 minutes later, that guy was at the door, really. The pizza had shifted a bit in the box, but with the speed it got to the door, I figure that guy was hustling the whole way. As usual, the pizza was hot. We dug in. I appreciated ever bite of the large New York style slices. fairly firm crust, sauce with the right amount of tang and sausage and pepperoni that was popping with flavor. a couple of starving guys, you would think we could make that pizza disappear within minutes. Well that would be impossible. It seems obvious, but the issue was we got the large which was, well, very large! The box seemed to be three foot square. we actually had a few pieces left over. So even though it's maybe a couple bucks more than some chain pizza joints, we got a couple meals out of it. Manhattan Joe's hasn't let me down, and I'm ready to give it a 4th try very soon. read more
