Totally recommend this small plates restaurant! I went with a friend and we split several dishes: garlic edamame, satay chicken skewers, braised chashu pork bun, mom's bbq pork bun, and yakisoba with roast duck. All of it was absolute delicious! Service was attentive but not rushing, and the vibes were right.

This review is for a take-out order. I was feeling like Ramen and decided to give BITES a try based on how diverse their menu was. I placed an order on Grubhub and got the following items: Creamy Tonkotsu Ramen (Creamy pork broth, chashu pork, fresh noodles, menma, shredded cabbage, mayu, shredded nori, pickled ginger, chopped scallions, soft-boiled egg, and toasted sesame seeds), Crying Tiger (Char-grilled Certified Angus flank steak, Thai-style marinade, chopped scallion, toasted rice powder, tamarind salsa), Coconut Shrimp (Five pieces of crispy jumbo shrimp, shredded coconut, sweet-chili sauce) Angus Steak Fried Rice (Certified Angus flank steak, sliced onion, cherry tomato, chopped scallions, scrambled egg, and fried garlic) Blueberry-Yuzu Cheesecake Crispy Spring Rolls (3pcs) First let me start off with the delivery service itself. BITES did a nice job of packing the food for delivery. As you can see from the photos, everything was nicely packaged and nothing spilled out. Food arrived nice and warm and ready to be eaten. The Creamy Tonkotsu Ramen came in two separate containers, which was nice as I got to mix everything on hand. The broth was really nice and it held up on delivery. The flavor profile was very nice and the chashu pork was nice and tender. The Crying Tiger was on point! I would so order this as a main dish, the meat was just that tasty. I could so see this with a side of mashed potatoes or rice/salad. The Coconut Shrimp were of a decent size and tasty as well as the Crispy Spring Rolls, pretty standard fare. Blueberry-Yuzu Cheesecake was okay as a end to dinner with some bubbles. The Angus Steak Fried Rice was very good. This was for The Doctor and he loved it! I tried some as well and have to say I would totally get this next time and maybe have it as a side with the Crying Tiger. The rice was prepared nicely, it was not greasy like some dishes I have had before. The only thing that I would have asked for was to leave the garlic out. I love it but it does not love me. This was a very good meal and we will be ordering from them again. FYI, I am not trying to hurt their dine in game, but man BITES has some good promos for delivery: 20% off for carryout and delivery, Free Chicken Fried Rice When You Spend $55 Or More - Tuesdays Only, Buy Two Signature Maki, Get a Third One 1/2 Off - Wednesdays Only, and Get $10 Off When You Spend $60 Or More - Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays Only. All orders have to be placed at www.BitesKitchen.com, so I am all over that.

    Spicy Crab rangoon

So many fun menu options! Definitely a great place to come with a small group and try a bunch of different stuff. The spicy crab rangoon were my favorite part of the meal. The spicy tiger was a close second! A deliciously marinated flank steak. The General Tso's chicken sandwich had such a tasty sauce and was a generously sized sandwich. Pretty good sandwich but I'd rather venture out to try something else. The only dish I tried that was average was the roasted duck bao bun. Bun itself was good as was the marinade on the duck. But the duck itself was too chewy. Definitely would come back here!

24K Maki (minus the 24k gold?)

First time at Bites and I struggled with the overall review rating! Decided I couldn't give this place under 4 stars because whoever is cooking in the kitchen has some serious skill, and you can't be mad sitting under a palm tree. Just wish the professionalism of the restaurant matched the superior food quality To start off, our service was horrendous. We went for the first day of restaurant week. The restaurant wasn't that busy due to the freezing temps, but we proceeded to watch our server socialize with the bartenders, chat with other waitstaff at the back kitchen window and pay no attention to our table. Took ~20 minutes to be greeted and get a drink order and nearly every table that was seated after us was finished before we even saw dessert. 1/5 stars Now the food...THAT is what will bring us back and keep us dreaming of BITES. Food reviews: Crab Rangoon--crispy light outside with a delicate flavorful filling. Unlike any crab Rangoon I've had before and not heavy at all Corn ribs--good cook, solid flavor, but just okay compared to rest of dishes 24k maki--amazing flavor profile and generous portion of fish. However both of our rolls were MISSING the beautiful 24k gold that was supposed to be over the top (took away from the aesthetic of the namesake of the dish) Panang salmon--WOW. Standout dish by far. Beautiful crispy cook on the salmon and spice from the sauce. I originally asked for sauce on side and proceeded to use the entire ramekin. You could drink that stuff Creme brûlée sweet potato--wouldn't recommend. Lacked a wow factor or really any creme anglaise to make it dessert. Also came with a plastic spoon which felt unprofessional...

I really loved this restaurant! The Lava Maki roll was phenomenal, possibly one of the best rolls I've had in my life. The service and restaurant interior were fine, nothing phenomenal, but definitely clean and quick. We felt a bit warm (visited in June), so don't bundle up too much if visiting in the summer. But this place is absolutely worth going to for the food.

    Taro Fries (VT)(GF)
    Kelly L.

Bites beat out Medieval Times for our dinner -- and honestly, we made the right decision! Everything was delicious, especially the taro fries -- hands down the best I've had. The service was attentive and friendly, and both bartenders made us feel welcome while we sat at the bar. I ordered an iced Thai tea that hit the spot perfectly, and my partner tried the bao buns (one of each of the meat options) -- all of them were wonderful. The ambiance was lovely with great music and a relaxed vibe. The only small hiccup was with the reservation system. The website said reservations were only for parties of six or more, but when we arrived, the host mentioned we could've made one for two. Other than that, everything was excellent!

Coconut Shrimp - Crying Tiger - Spicy Crab Rangoon - BITES Wings
    Davina R.

WOW! What a cute interior and plating/presentation for the appetizers. We stopped here for some apps after a headspa day and were NOT disappointed. Our server was very nice, the food came very quickly and was all delicious! The only thing I'd not get again was the coconut shrimp. A little too much breading - so very chewy and too sweet. BUT honestly I'd come back for everything else we got 10 more times! Loved all the sauces they came with also (not pictured were taro fries, they were so good too!)

Great food and friendly staff. We stopped in after a pottery class across the street and ordered: - Crying Tiger - Mom's BBQ Pork Bun - General Tso Good Chicken Sandwich - Beef Rib Ramen Honestly, it may have been a bit much. The waitress was telling us how they reduced the size of the beef in the ramen and I was thinking that meant it was less slices but boy was I wrong. The beef rib is literally half of the bowl and it isn't a small bowl. Next time we are going to share the ramen and maybe order an appetizer. All of the food was good, the sandwich was perfectly crispy despite being covered in sauce. The crying tiger was also a generous portion compared to other places.

Came on a Sunday afternoon for an early dinner. We happened to be nearby and wanted to give this restaurant a shot. Previously we came during restaurant week and it was overcrowded so we left. On this occasion, the vibe was chill. We got a nice table right near the window. Our server was really nice, I believe the servers name was Jeep. We started off with cocktails and some appetizers. We really enjoyed the coconut shrimp. The crab rangoons were nothing special. We enjoyed our main entree. All in all, it was a nice experience. The sushi offerings look tempting and I would love to come back to try a few of their rolls.

    Soft shelled crab mentaiko pasta
    Elvylene Y.

First time trying this fusion place, based on Yelp recommendations and it did not fail! Went on a weekend for lunch, was surprised that there was no wait. The place is decent size with more than enough tables and cute decor. Servers were friendly. Street parking available. Now for the food - we ordered the soft shelled crab sliders, char siu bao and soft shelled mentaiko pasta. The sliders were reasonably sized and with fried soft shelled crab and some sauce that was a bit like hoisin but more tart. The char siu bao had a good sized portion of the meat and the bun and carrot/daikon were classic bao accompaniments. The surprise was the pasta. Although a bit pricey at $25, it came with a huge helping of pasta, good sized portion soft shelled crab and about 6 large shrimps! Flavor was great and sauce was creamy but not too overwhelming. Overall, I'd recommend anyone who wants to try Asian fusion restaurant to stop by for some Bites!

    Matchalita
    Clare C.

Came here for dinner on a Friday evening! We were able to be seated immediately. The inside is nice with fun decor and service was very prompt. The menu is marked well for gluten free options. We started with a drink because it was still happy hour. I got the Matchalita and it came out in a fun inflatable flamingo. The menu has a variety of options and they all sounds very good. I ordered the Lava Maki and really enjoyed it! Pretty filling and average price for a sushi roll. We also saw the Taro Fries go by and we had to order them. We enjoyed them. Very fun and crispy. Overall a nice meal!

such a great first time experience. the staff was extremely friendly and fast! they seated us and immediately brought us water and menus. The food is amazing. my partner and I split two appetizers and an order of sushi. filled us up. we had a blueberry mojito and red sangria (not pictured) that were extremely tasty. The ambience of the restaurant is great whether you're coming here on a first date, date night, or a friends night out. definitely coming back to try their patio with friends once it warms up outside.

    Molly T.

Loved the atmosphere and ambience of this place! We made reservations for a Saturday night and for seated right away. We had two cocktails. I really enjoyed the pink lotus and we also had appetizers. We got the crab Rangoon and the Tora fries. Both so unique and very good. We also had two sushi rolls to share the ocean Avenue and the bite me. They were also equally delicious.

Soup dumplings that immediately became the kids' personal obsession. Shu mai that hit every time. BBQ pork buns in every form they offered because obviously. Chinese broccoli to balance out the indulgence. Everything was solid, fresh, and exactly what you want from a dim sum spread. The room was packed and buzzing but the service kept up impressively. Servers were constantly circling, clearing empty plates and dishes without missing a beat. Clean and attentive even at full capacity, which is no small thing. Fair warning if you are bringing little ones: this environment is a lot. The noise, the crowd, the overwhelming parade of food arriving at the table. It's crazy it's completely died down by the time we were finished with our meal. The service was great, the interior decor was beautiful and the staff was friendly. The dim sum offered for brunch was good as well but pricey. Especially since some dishes were only offered with two pieces. If you have a party of three then you're kind of forced into buying two of the same dishes. Which is strange. Traditionally most dim sum dishes have three pieces. Rarely see 2 pieces being offered especially for double the price. We ordered their Jiaozi, Char Sui Bao, crab Rangoon, chilly chilli noodles, and their Xiang long Bao. All were great. The chilly chilli noodles is served cold and was very flavorful. The Xiang Kong Bao was amazing. The potstickers was probably my favorite dish and it's mess up char Sui Bao. We were going to order wings but they had ran out I guess by 12pm on a Sunday. I was also going to order fried rice but it wasn't offered for brunch. Overall despite the priciness of the menu, we still enjoyed our food and the service. I obviously knew what I was getting myself into by visiting this place, and can definitely see myself returning in the future.
