Bite 2 on our dog's face from an aggressive dog who didn't want to play well with others.

After this last time at this dog park and our dog was attacked we will not be attending this park anymore. Here are the reasons why: 1: there are way to many dog owners who are novice who attend this dog park. The owners do not recognize the behaviors of their dogs., leaving it up to the ones who do to really have to watch out for the safety of our animals. 2: people bring toys to this park and even though some dogs are happy and excited there are some who are toy aggressive, which can cause fights. Unfortunately owners do not see this as a negative behavior and unfortunately this can lead to an attack. 3: people use this park as a dumping ground for their unwanted animals. We have heard and seen many dogs that have been left here tied to the fence with or without a note on them. 4: the place reeks! It literally smells like dog pee and poop. The grounds are not kept. The mulch is not treated which can lead to bacterial infections on your animals. 4: Our vet recommended us not to go to this bark bc she has seen more cases of leptospirosis from this park. This is a illness caused by dog urine. Please do yourself a favor and save your time by not going to this park. Head to the beach or recreational park where the grounds are kept up a little better. And for those of you that do attend this park be mindful of your dogs behavior. If your dog shows aggression, leave. Do not allow your dog to socialize with animals if it can not share toys or handle its emotions while around other furry friends. Luckily our dog bounces back, but some don't. Please take simple training lessons to understand dogs behaviors and how to recognize them. Luckily I'm trained in aggressive behavior with dogs and was able to de-escalate the situation without any major injuries, but there may be a day where that happens and your furry friend's life can be in danger.

Noooo!!! This park has only been open a month and it has quickly turned into a dirt/mud bath. If you don't mind allowing your dogs to get down and dirty before their bath time, go for it! Sadly, all the grass that was there before has died, and seems nearly impossible to maintain what it was. The diminished quality of the facility has also led to diminishing four-legged friends. Rosie's Dog Beach never fails, but now I'm back in search of more dog parks for my pooch.

Great no frills dog park walking distance from where I live. There are separate sections for bigger and smaller dogs. I appreciate that the space is big and open so there is plenty of room for my pup to run around like crazy. Also love that it doesn't reek of pee like some other dog parks do! A couple downsides - water and hobos. Don't forget to bring water with you. There's no water fountain, but there was a big Gatorade container. I didn't check to see if there was actually water inside and am not sure how often it's changed/refilled. And there are always hobos sleeping in the park near Broadway. I haven't seen them pester anyone but I could see how some people may feel uncomfortable.

This is a good dog park. Great location, and they have a lot of parking. Also, it's pretty clean, so You feel safe letting your dog enjoy some fun time.

This dog park is beyond awesome. We are here at least twice a day and our three puppies absolutely love every minute. The hours are perfect and the park has been well-maintained since opening. While there are no water features directly in the dog park, there is a water fountain conveniently located one block down from the park (Jimbo). We LOVE LOVE BDP.

    Small dog area.

Large area for both small dogs and big dogs. Ground is mulch and dirt, so my short-legged Corgi gets really dirty.

And we do have a go-to dog park for occasions like this, but given an all-day free Saturday, I thought about checking out a new place. And that's how we found this spot. It is what most Yelpers say what it is: small. Prime (my fur baby) is more used to one of those large dirt and grass kinda areas. He enjoyed it anyway since he met new fur-friends and got to play with them for a bit. It worked out even better since my cousin met us there to bring his fur baby to a dog park for the very first time. This was a good first run for him - I figure it a good idea start him out in a small area to see how how reacts with other dogs and mostly so he doesn't get too overwhelmed. From the looks of it, it's safe to say that enjoyed his very first dog park run. Doggy bags and water fountains are provided for both pups and hoomans alike. There are also benches available. Parking is available, both private and street. It is very well maintained, but as small as it is, it shouldn't be that much of an issue. Alas, as nice and clean as it is, we probably won't be back. It just isn't big enough for my pup to run around. However! If you and your pup are more into just chillin', then this is the place.

There are several benches. there is a lady who comes and sells her hand, knitted and crocheted scarves and slippers. They are only five and $10 each. Barely pays for the yarn. The dogs can run around freely and chase each other. There is a water fountain for them to go and get a drink. My dog is going to have a nice long nap now because she is very tired from running around chasing other dogs. There are rolls of plastic bags, so you can and should clean up after your dog. I did.

I'll pick it up so me or my dogs don't step on it-We just started going here and it's at random times. Plus I have big and small dogs so I take them separately. My big dog is senior 12 yr old but acts like a puppy. She likes going. i'm cautious when I take her cz she a happy and excited to play. Not all dogs don't like it. She was attacked by medium size dog and she ended up on her back. Freaked out The girl owner didn't even try to stop her dog. I had to man handle her dog while I trying check my senior dog. It happens but it's owner responsibility to know their dog boundaries and behavior. It's been weeks since then so we went again but only a few dogs there. I didn't let her out of my sight. So if something happened I can get to her. Its fun for dogs play and talk to owners but be aware of your dog and others dogs at all times

It's quiet. Shady. Lots of grass. Gentle hills that make throwing a ball way more fun than it should be. Bring a blanket, park nearby (just not directly in front of the lawn bowling unless you're okay gambling with the occasional errant ball ), then relax. Watch the bowlers, throw a ball for your dog, read a book, eat a snack, take a nap, or just touch some grass for a while. My review is really just for this little corner of the park because that's where we spent our afternoon. But Recreation Park itself has a huge dog park, a playground, tennis courts, golf, ball fields, a bandshell, and even an area for fly-casting practice. Last weekend I drove out to El Dorado Park looking for this exact feeling. Ironically, this little corner of Recreation Park delivered it even better.

You can count on this during and after every weekend. The dog park and the owners are responsible and respectful of the property. The homeless also seem to, for the most part, clean up their areas once they are forced to leave. It's the large picnic parties that seem to be the problem or the city not providing enough garbage bins in the area. Quite a disgrace to the community.
